I won a gift certificate for a 1 hour sound balancing with tuning forks from Energy Works Studio at a church fundraiser. When I called the owner of the studio, Sherryl Comeau, to make the appointment, she said that I could not use the gift certificate because gift certificates are non-transferable. She said that the church was raffling off her gift certificate without permission and that they had no right to make money off her product. I told her that she should be happy that the church was advertising for her. She said that she was a business owner and could not make money if the gift certificates were transferable. No where on the gift certificate did it say that it was not transferable. I let her know that I have given and received many gift certificates that were originally for other people. She said that she never heard of that being allowed and that I would understand if I was in business. I have worked in business for many years, and am an energy worker. Not accepting a gift certificate, regardless of who is redeeming it (unless it is expired), is very bad business practices. As an energy worker, I will not go to any events put on or sponsored by this organization as it has very bad energy. This is disappointing as I have been looking for local businesses who do energy work, sound healing and other activities, and was very excited to have a healing session at this studio so that I could find out more about them. I am very disappointed at the horrible business practices and negativity that I received from Sherryl. I will be sure to let everyone I know not to attend or support this studio. Because of Sherryl's negative, hostile energy, I will not attend any events or have a healing at this studio even if it is free. When receiving healing, it is very important to go to a healer who spreads good energy. Sherryl was very rude and was only concerned with making money. read more
