My non electrician husband did the electrical in 2 hours. This company wanted to charge $5500 and we did the work for $350.00.

Our furnace broke during the Seattle snow storm. Martin arrived / quickly found the problem. Checked his van and found an igniter. Quoted price etc up front. Repaired unit. Did a final safety check. Asked if we have CO detectors because he didn't see any we didn't. Thanks I'm warm again

Green Bear was exceptional from start to finish. Shawn arrived when he said he would, explained…read morewhat was wrong clearly, and walked me through what he planned to inspect. He did exactly what he said he was going to do -- and ultimately fixed the problem the same day. The work was professional, thorough, and technically sound. While others had suggested replacement, Green Bear took the time to repair instead -- saving me thousands. I now have heat and confidence in the work that was done. I would absolutely hire Green Bear again and have already referred him to friends.

tldr - if it's related to HVAC, call the installer of your HVAC system if possible…read more I called Green Bear to take a look at an HVAC system (on second floor) that was leaking water on the 1st floor ceiling (due to AC condensation). They sent someone over, who didn't really open the HVAC system panel much. I didn't seem confident that this would fix it. But they recommended to fix the drain pan inside the evaporator coil box, which they said was much more expensive. For clearing the drain pipe and gluing a loose pipe, which didn't actually fix the main problem, they still billed me $300 - diagnostic fee ($99) + 1 hour ($199) - (there's a 3% credit card fee, but they accept checks) 4 or 5 hours later, there was dripping again. I ended up calling Bob's, they sent 2 technicians who knew what they were doing (they opened the panel properly), they found and fixed the issue - it did not involve replacing a drain pan. Bob's only charged me the diagnostic fee of $175 and did the job right (compared to $300 that Green Bear charged)

Their staff (phone staff and on-site plumbers) are professional, communicate well and get the job done. I should call out though that you might be able to save a few $ if you went with an independent but that's kind of the case for most home repair/servicing companies. I've never used them for Electric and/or HVAC so I can't speak to that.

This company has changed. And not for the better…read more A week ago I called to schedule an appointment for a leaky faucet in my house. An AI voice answered the phone, asked me why I was calling, told me it was going to look up my account details, said it had a problem and that someone would contact me to follow up, and then hung up on me. A few hours later I got a text from "Cameron". I complained to "Cameron" about the experience I had from the AI phone answerer. "Cameron" apologize and told me that such an experience would frustrate him too...then "Cameron" decided to be transparent with me and tell me that he was in fact AI as well and "his" real name was "Carson". We went back and forth about 6 times to explain the problem I was having and to set up an appointment. Then "Cameron" told me that the time we worked out wasn't confirmed yet and that someone would be calling me to confirm the time. Thanks, "Cameron". This was Friday around 4:00PM. THE NEXT MORNING, a human being (I think) texted me from the same number to confirm the appointment. After I let them know how unhappy I was with the AI scheduling service, a human (I think) did call me and apologized for it. Then, on the day of the appointment, the technician arrived an hour and a half after the 12:00-16:00 window we had set up. I had to call them at 16:30 to ask if the technician was coming and they told me he would be there soon. When he did arrive, in the middle of me making dinner for my family, he told me that the faucet would need to be replaced and that it would be $750 (!!) in labor to fix it. Then I was charged $83 for his time (which I guess would be rolled into the service). So, in the end I still had a leaky faucet and I was out $83 with the option to pay $670 to replace a faucet (plus the cost of the faucet itself). For that price, I'm just going to do it myself. Then the spam texts started coming from "Cameron" asking about the estimate. I got one every day until I told it to stop texting me. This company used to be great but I'm going to be looking around the next time I need a plumber. Please ditch this stupid AI system. Please don't charge your customers if you're extremely late for your own four hour window - especially if the diagnosis takes five minutes and is "I can't fix it - replace the faucet".

This was not an easy project due to the limited space in the attic and the small opening in the hallway to access the attic. I appreciated Suraj's time to work through the challenging project to complete the project without having to cut larger opening in my ceiling to the attic. I appreciated Grace and her organization with scheduling, automatic reminders and a check list of details to have completed prior to the start of the project. The team arrived on time and worked tirelessly through a rainy, dark December day. They were polite to me and each other. I am pleased I chose Progressive Comfort Solutions and excited to new my new HVAC system. (Wow, never did I believe I would ever have central air conditioning!)

Everyone always wore booties, no damage to the flooring. They took extra care to avoid being loud while my wife and I were on conference calls, which I really appreciate. Specifics: I live in a house with an 18 year old existing ductless system. we wanted to replace it and add 2 more heads. I got about 4 quotes. Suraj from Progressive was as knowledgeable as the rep from Greenwood. Progressive was the only one willing to snake the new hoses alongside the existing routes. All the others wanted to do much more drilling on the inside and outside of the house. I love how they were willing to adapt to my project's needs. Conclusion: It's true, the quotes did take a week to arrive. That part doesn't really matter once you have that expectation. Overall, I highly recommend this company.
