After replacing the old AC unit and the ductwork, we took a closer look and also realized the attic insulation situation was... well, abominable. Enter Jesús from Yeti Home Insulation, who came out promptly, gave us a thorough assessment, and--refreshingly--didn't try to upsell us. He explained that most of our existing insulation was still usable, and recommended simply adding new insulation on top to fill in the bare spots and thin areas. Smart, honest, and budget-friendly. The results are incredible. Our attic went from patchy and tired to clean, even, and snow-white (how fitting for a company called Yeti!). I reached out to TCI on Friday afternoon to see if there was any posibility to do the work on Saturday because the opening was to be closed up on Monday. Jonathan was super communicative and managed to squeeze my project in on a Saturday with less than 24 hours notice from me. He also took care of my FPL rebate for me, taking it off his total price and making the my life much easier (and the project less out of pocket for me). His team arrived on time and were very polite and respectful of my property. They took before and after pictures for me without me even having to ask them to do this and shared them with me before requesting payment. The quote explicitly stated: "The replacement water heater can be installed either in the attic space where the existing one currently is (provided it fits in the attic access), or it can be installed in the garage. Either location, pricing valid for either.", "*Installation includes all required wiring & water lines." Pictures and requested information were provided by my realtor to assist in preparing the quote. Additional detailed pictures of the house layout were available online via the property listing. I signed the quote on 7 February 2025 and paid $2,150 on 9 February 2025. Tech Visit and Refusal to Install: The technician arrived at the property and stated that the supplied water heater could not be installed in the attic due to its hybrid nature, weight concerns, and potential condensation issues. I requested that the water heater be installed in the garage, as explicitly stated in the signed quote. Climate Experts refused, claiming the situation was not as expected and that installation in the garage would cost more than the quoted and paid amount.
