I first started going to Energize Physical Therapy for my lower back. That was almost two years ago, and now I barely experience any back pain at all. Between the therapy that they did and what they taught me, my back is not the same as it was before I started going here. It is so much stronger. When my boyfriend needed a physical therapist I sent him here. When I needed two surgeries on my knee, and was told I would be doing an aggressive physical therapy approach, I knew just where I was going back to. I had surgery on my knee for the first time in November and the first week I came to Energize was definitely the worse week for my recovery. I was in pain and barely able to do a straight leg raise. Completely discouraged, I actually started crying while I was in the office. They closed off my section and the assistants were so patient and kind and understanding. They encouraged me to keep trying, and they reassured me that I would in fact get better, even though I didn't believe it. After 6 weeks of crutches and another 6 weeks of crutches/cane combo, I slowly regained my strength. Straight leg raises are barely a warm up for me now, because each week of full sessions just makes me stronger. The swelling in my knee has significantly reduced. The muscle strength i lost is slowly being regained back. And I can contribute a massive amount of my success to Energize. Every single therapist, and assistant, as well as the assistants that make appointments, are so important and so kind and you can tell they love what they do. They give all the healing energy, the tools and the knowledge you need to succeed, you just have to bring determination and yourself! read more

This place is amazing if I could I would give it more stars!! Before coming here I had immense pain in my hips and was going to another place where they were completely blowing me off. I work out fairly often so I needed a physical therapy clinic that would take me seriously since I always get some kind of joint pain. From my first visit, the doctor checked me out and made me feel extremely comfortable. Him and the physical therapist that works with me, Dimple, are always showing me new stretches and stretch me out very well. The doctor, therapists, and all the volunteers care about their patients; asking them how they are feeling and greeting them by their first name. It has been a few weeks since I have been coming here and I can never go back anywhere else. The staff here is the best and they make it their priority to make the patient feel better, no matter what kind of pain they have or rehabilitation they need. I have already recommended this place to my friends at the gym and would urge everyone to come here if they're looking for a place where they can get better and a professional, caring staff that genuinely cares about you. read more

Came to Energize Physical Therapy because I was experiencing soreness and sports-related injuries. The physical therapists are PHENOMENAL and went above and beyond to assess my conditions, explain thoroughly about what I can do to prevent future injuries, and helped relieve my present muscle fatigue (day after half marathon). The DPT's had me perform different tests for the many conditions I presented them with, and were very good at giving an accurate diagnosis and treatment. Energizer PT first help me out with my lower back pain, didnt know that they will help me alot from my back pain to shoulder pain, after couple of session my case was closed. Few weeks later i played basketball and twisted my right ankle and it swelled up right away, I knew i had to come in again and get it taking care of with in 3 weeks i was able to play basketball again even though the Therapist said not yet!! Excellent experience! Dr. Lyo is very knowledgeable, personable, and very modern. He combines a variety of effective techniques every session, and gives very clear instructions on what to do at home to speed up the healing process. I had an S.I. joint pain for quite some time that prevented me from long distance walking. I've been seeing Dr. Lyo for a month now and for the first time in three years I am able to go on long-distance walks with no pain. I wish I had discovered this place sooner. I have been suffering the back pain for years and I visited at least three different of physical therapy clinics. However, it did not help at all. I have given up the physical therapy treatment for some times. My primary physician has recommended Energize Physical Therapy to me. Energize Physical Therapy is a great facility with a caring staff that adjusts and tailors care to the needs of their patients. Patrick and Dimple are great therapists who guided me throughout my whole recovery for my shoulder injury and taught me exercises to continue exercising outside of the clinic. I was initially very discouraged that I would not be able to surf again and they assured me that with hard work and sticking to the program, I would built the strength and stability to once again get back out in the waves! They tell jokes and encourage patients through difficult exercises which they take time to craft based on the patient's level of functionality and athletic goals. They remember where you last left off during the end of the last therapy sessions and make an effort to remember details about you. They have a great rapport with all patients and i see people that regularly come to the clinic for care. Thank you Dr. Lyo and Dr. Patel for all of your help with my shoulder injury! I was a little worried about physical therapy, but after walking Inside Dr.Mak office all that changed. I could barely walk when I first arrived, but thanks to Dr.Mak and her staff . I've been going to Energize to treat a hip strain and after a few sessions my hip feels much better. The office is clean and the staff is extremely friendly. I read all the good reviews on yelp and so I decided to try to this place to find treatment for my neck and shoulder pains from sitting in the office too much. Dr. Mak is very attentive, knowledgeable and patient with all her patients. Minus one star because I felt like her female assistant wasn't engaged enough to help patients and lacked communication skills. Saw the lady PT. Very basic PT compared to most places in the city. Doesn't see you on time. Rolled me with a stick - when to PT in the city and she massaged me manually, was informed you cannot roll certain muscles but need to manually massage. Didn't send me exercises when asked twice. Charges the same as some top PT facilities for mediocre Pt. They are friendly, but it's not the best the Pt. Also place is super dusty and dry. read more

I had a herniated disc problem. After finishing 6 days of class, I thought I would be fine but unfortunately I really had a terrible lower back pain. I wasn't able to walk properly. I went to emergency and the doctor recommended me to do a surgery as soon as possible. It's been a month and half now I am in the bed rest .This is the worst place for physical therapy. I decided to stop by the clinic as they were offering a FREE 15 min consultations for walk in's. As a runner I've always had to deal with shin splints and IT band injuries. I arrived around 7 pm very close to closing. Both of the doctors there were available and took turns educating me about my injury as well as giving me a detailed explanation as to why I was getting injured running and demonstrated multiple techniques in which I could use at home to get back on track. I am a new mom of a 2 month old and I have been experiencing at some major wrist pain from taking care of the baby. Basically, I couldn't twist my wrist as much and in a lot of pain. I did some research but couldn't pin point the problems or heal it until I found Dr. Mak's office. She knew right away what my problem is from the symptoms. She explained everything in a very friendly and easy to understand matter. Dr. Mak always make me feel so relaxed in the office as she provide great care and treatment to my hand. Another thing I really like is that Dr. Mak also taught me some exercises that I can try at home to quicken the recovery. This is my fourth treatment since I started and I am now able to twist and turn my hand, as well as hold my baby without any pain.
