We were originally planning to have our small (immediate family members only) wedding at City Hall,…read moreand when I was searching for a venue to have a small dinner after I stumbled upon the Toronto Wedding Chapel. I am so glad that I did! It felt strange at first, leaving almost everything to others to plan - not even seeing my bouquet or the colours of the linens until 1/2 hour before the ceremony. The last week prior to the event, I even began to question whether I had made a huge mistake. When we got there and had a look at everything - it was absolutely perfect! I was amazed at how beautiful everything was. The ceremony was wonderful, the food was fantastic, and everyone involved on our day were so great, I can't even come up with words to describe it. Leading up to our big day, the staff always answered all my questions, whether by email or phone. They asked for pictures to get a sense of the colours we preferred and hit the nail on the head. We always felt accommodated and absolutely like ours was the only event they were planning. A special thank you to Katherine, who was absolutely amazing - knowing what to say to keep me calm, asking the right questions so she could correctly choose how to decorate for us, and having a great sense of humor. This venue is small - definitely not for a large wedding, but for the 18 guests we had, it was heaven. I absolutely recommend the Toronto Wedding Chapel if you have a small wedding that you want to be memorable but you're perhaps not the greatest at planning or just don't have the time. The only drawback was the photography. Unfortunately, about 20-30 pictures were pixelated and at least as many were blurry to some degree - however, they did send us almost 300 pictures (in less than a week!), so I refuse to give them less than 5 stars. The rest of the pictures (and there were a great many) were beautiful, and there were plenty to choose from. She is responsive to communications, extremely capable in managing vendors, and all-around pleasant to work with. Nothing got past her and she was friendly and professional in every regard. Having Karin manage our wedding day was also the best decision we could've made. Such a big day with so many things that can go wrong. If there was no Karin, all of those things would come my way (as the bride). No thank you. Karin was the invisible hand guiding everything to smoothness. She has an established and a very effective way of working with couples and knows exactly how to deal with a specific scenario and story you have . After getting all information she required from us (it was very easy to share all our information filling out the Questionnaire she provided us with and explaining exactly what we were looking for or hoped to see during our ceremony), Sarah provided us with a beautiful and personalized ceremony that she wrote specifically for two of us based upon all that information she collected. We kept in touch constantly via the email and the phone most of the time when we had any questions or concerns. A week before the wedding, we had a final meeting with Sarah during which we went through all the details and specifications of the ceremony, she provided us with the structure and the order of the ceremony, made some professional suggestions we loved; we had a chance to ask all the questions we had left at that time and finalized everything for the upcoming big day. They did 0 coordinating. - The vendors were contacting my wife and I because they could not reach the coordinators leading up to the wedding. - they were an hour late to our ceremony, saying they had the wrong address even though it was clearly on the planning pdf - they were extremely rude to our parents during the ceremony, to the point where my father had to blatantly say they shouldn't talk to people in that way - the catering was late in the morning, my father had to contact the vendors and figure out what's going on - We had to prompt them to talk to us leading up to our special day and took no initiative to assist us with the plan. - I tried calling them 3 times on Friday before to figure out slideshow. They did not answer or return calls, there was issues with setting up the slide show. They offered no help and our siblings had to figure out. Hiring these people was a complete mistake, did not even ask for a refund just want to warn everyone that this service was terrible.

Suzzette was our florist and our month-of coordinator for our sangeet and our wedding, two big evening events back to back in April 2019. Simply put, she is incredibly talented in both of these roles and we feel very fortunate to have found her! From the outset we were impressed by her professionalism and her good energy. She seemed genuinely excited to work with us and her significant experience and unassuming confidence immediately put us at ease. When we met in person to discuss flowers and other design elements, she listened to us and helped us to make our final decisions while staying within our budget. When we met with our parents for a coordination meeting and met again at the venue for a final walk through, she was organized and on the ball, ready to answer all questions and to help us think through last minute logistics. The week before the events, there were a number of changes that came up and she did not bat an eye. On the day of both events, her flower arrangements left us speechless. She somehow brought to life everything we discussed and made it even more beautiful than we imagined! From a coordination perspective, she kept everything running smoothly, bringing us back on schedule again and again and, I'm sure, resolving lots of issues behind the scenes which we'll never know about, all with the help of her team of warm and professional staff.
