Place: L-Eat catering is owned by the same owners of Paese (next door to one another) …read more Food: I love that they support and believe in sustainable eating. They have an amazing menu with a variety of food options for people with dietary restrictions (amazing vegan jack fruit pulled "pork" sliders). Favourite dishes: Chicken and waffles Southern fried chicken drumette & steam whistle shooter Pinot noir duck breast The meats here are cooked to perfection. Everything is so tender and flavourful. The flavour combinations go so well together. Dessert: Chocolate peanut butter cup (peanut brittle tuile, peanut butter ice cream strawberry coulis and candied peanuts). This is something I can eat all day, everyday. The chocolate is smooth, rich and creamy. The tart itself is buttery and not too thick. The peanut butter ice cream was not too overly sweet and had a really strong peanut butter flavour. Everything just went together perfectly

I have used L'Eat in the past and found them to be consistently good however my recent experience…read moreleft me and my guests with a bad taste in our mouths! To begin with, I ordered a variety of things for a recent holiday dinner. Having 28 guests, I ordered enough chicken for everyone and our issue really began with the delivery. The delivery came with half the chicken which put me in a panic. I called them and they said when the driver was done his route he would come back and pick up the rest of my order...I was not going to chance that happening so I insisted that it be delivered right away...it was their mistake, put it in a cab and send it. I was put off with the lack of care that the individual had. About an hour later, two more trays of the chicken arrived with the reheating instructions. The staff in the kitchen reheated all of the food as per the instructions and to my horror, when the chicken was served about a 1/3 of it was pink inside and not cooked. One of the guests tried not to alarm me but told everyone sitting near them to check their chicken before eating it. The next morning, I called the office and shared the upset of the night before. Again, I was a bit surprised that I was asked for pictures of the chicken as evidence, but I complied and send pictures of several pieces of the chicken that was not tossed that was undercooked. I was told that they would credit me for the chicken and I would hear back from the chef...have you got the credit? I haven't, nor has there been any follow-up. Very disappointing! Fortunately, living in Toronto, we have options and I can take L-Eat off of my list.

My husband said it was the best espresso he's had in years. So much so, he went back the next day in the morning for one while I was asleep! The pound cake was to die for... I savoured every bite for a week. The blueberry jam was really good in it too! Cannot recommend this place enough.

We were warmly greeted by the owner, whom allowed us to choose which seats we wanted. She then gave us each a menu, allowing us to choose our items in ample time. After ordering, we only waited about fifteen minutes for the food to arrive. We were kept busy by the televisions which were showing the local news therefore, the time flew by. I had settled on the western egg omelet sandwich with fries; I absolutely loved it! I had asked for only ham in the sandwich therefore, everything tasted immaculate. And the price was wonderful, very reasonable for the amount that was given. The restaurant was also clean as well, with excellent customer service by the owner. We felt valued as customers, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. This is truly a hidden gem; you will not be disappointed with the food, service or atmosphere. This is family dining done right!
