I can't say enough amazing things about Dr. Deam and the team he's assembled! I was referred to him…read moreby my now husband, back when we were dating and I was a recent NY transplant. It all starts with Idania who fronts the office and oversees (among many things I imagine) patient outreach/bookings and insurance/payments. She is not only professional, she is also warm, patient, and just a sweetheart all around! Dr. Deam is very thorough in his consultations, and he's always focused on the patient's best interest and on addressing their concerns/questions. One never feels rushed - he has a very calming effect. It's also clear that he's of top caliber and is highly knowledgable about dentistry and medicine at large (he and his team check for things like tongue cancer, blood pressure, etc). He's forward-thinking and has the latest technology in the office (e.g. a vibrating pain-free device to deliver anesthetic pre-filling; check out his site for other cool advances that I luckily have yet to have to use.) A quick nod to Yuliet who assists Dr. Deam in procedures - she's also super friendly and great at her job! Finally, Lily, who's their hygienist, is awesome (to follow the general theme of Dr. Deam and his staff!) She remembers patients, their concerns (for me it's tooth sensitivity, so we use topical anesthetic), and progress from the last visit. She, like the rest of the staff, seem to care first and foremost about the patient.

Wonderful Dr. Deam's office now has wonderful Dr. del Castillo! When I had an emergency last week,…read morewonderful Idania arranged for Dr. del Castillo to see me that day. Dr. del Castillo reviewed the options, provided a temporary fix and then a permanent fix. He explained each step, made a new crown that fit perfectly, and called that night to make sure everything was fine. It was. Going to the dentist is never fun, and going to a new dentist can be scary, but but Dr. del Castillo has a very calming and capable presence. Know that you are in excellent hands with the best technological equipment available--plus everyone in the office is really nice.

I cannot say enough incredible things about Dr. Cabrera at Lamas Dental Specialists…read more Right after New Year's, I came into the office in the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life. I had a severe infection, and initially it seemed like my situation might not be treatable immediately. I was sent home with antibiotics, but the pain became unbearable and I knew I couldn't wait. When Dr. Cabrera saw me, she gently asked, "On a scale from 1 to 10, how bad is your pain?" I told her 15 -- and she could clearly see the despair on my face. She immediately stepped in with compassion, confidence, and expertise. She administered several injections to numb the area and help control the pain while the antibiotics began reducing the infection. I explained that I had an important work trip coming up in just a few days and absolutely had to attend. Without hesitation, she did everything possible to treat me quickly and properly. The level of professional care she provided was beyond anything I could have hoped for. By the time she completed the procedure, I felt so relieved that I told her I was ready to go straight into my root canal. My treatment started at noon and wasn't finished until 6 PM -- a long, intense day -- but I was cared for every step of the way. The follow-up appointments were just as thorough and professional. She made sure I was healing properly and that my pain was completely under control. Dr. Cabrera didn't just treat my tooth -- she treated me with empathy, urgency, and true dedication. I genuinely feel grateful for the care she gave me during one of the most painful moments of my life. I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation. With Sincere Gratitude Carmelita Concepcion

I dont understand the bad reviews to be honest. I have the SageCare+ plan and it gives a good…read morediscount. Is it still expensive, yes. But all dentists are expensive. They have a wide range of available spots, they have a quick get it done mentality and they do a good job. The waiting in between services can be a little long tho but it is what it is.

My experience with Sage Dental was frustrating from the moment I had to deal with the actual office…read morestaff, despite starting off with clear communication. I called ahead specifically to say I would be late because of traffic. The call center confirmed it was okay. That should have been the end of it. Instead, I received a follow-up call from the office that immediately felt tense and uncoordinated. I was asked "exactly how late will you be?" in a tone that felt more like I was being reprimanded than simply checked in on. After explaining again, I was told about a 15-minute grace period, followed by a very pointed warning that if I wasn't there by 4:18, I would not be seen. There was no effort to reconcile the conflicting information between the call center and the office. No flexibility. No attempt at understanding. Just a rigid rule delivered in a way that made a routine delay feel like a problem I was being scolded for. What makes this stand out is how avoidable it all was. A bit of consistency and basic professionalism in tone would have completely changed the experience. Instead, it felt unnecessarily hostile for something as ordinary as traffic.
