I cannot say enough incredible things about Dr. Cabrera at Lamas Dental Specialists…read more Right after New Year's, I came into the office in the worst pain I have ever experienced in my life. I had a severe infection, and initially it seemed like my situation might not be treatable immediately. I was sent home with antibiotics, but the pain became unbearable and I knew I couldn't wait. When Dr. Cabrera saw me, she gently asked, "On a scale from 1 to 10, how bad is your pain?" I told her 15 -- and she could clearly see the despair on my face. She immediately stepped in with compassion, confidence, and expertise. She administered several injections to numb the area and help control the pain while the antibiotics began reducing the infection. I explained that I had an important work trip coming up in just a few days and absolutely had to attend. Without hesitation, she did everything possible to treat me quickly and properly. The level of professional care she provided was beyond anything I could have hoped for. By the time she completed the procedure, I felt so relieved that I told her I was ready to go straight into my root canal. My treatment started at noon and wasn't finished until 6 PM -- a long, intense day -- but I was cared for every step of the way. The follow-up appointments were just as thorough and professional. She made sure I was healing properly and that my pain was completely under control. Dr. Cabrera didn't just treat my tooth -- she treated me with empathy, urgency, and true dedication. I genuinely feel grateful for the care she gave me during one of the most painful moments of my life. I would recommend her to anyone without hesitation. With Sincere Gratitude Carmelita Concepcion

My husband and I first became patients here in 2014 when Dr. Lamas was still part of Gallardo & Lamas. All these years later, we are still incredibly happy with our care.Over the last decade, we have trusted Dr. Lamas and his team with our periodontic treatments and dental implants. I have gone to dentists all my life, and this entire team--from the receptionists to the assistants, hygienists, and of course, Dr. Lamas--is absolutely wonderful.A major highlight is the absence of pain in all of our procedures. Dr. Lamas has highly experienced hands, incredible knowledge, and a true commitment to doing excellent work. All of our periodontic treatments and implants have had great results.I recently truly experienced how well-deserved his reputation is. With my last implant, through no fault of Dr. Lamas, food got into the area and caused an infection. This delayed the process, and the implant had to be removed. Dr. Lamas took full responsibility for his job and redid the entire process without any delay or excuses. I am now fully healed and ready for my crowns. I am a very happy patient and have nothing but praise for this team. The quality of work and level of care are always exceptional. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a top-tier dental team!

How were they at administering the novacaine? Would they inject too much and leave my mouth numb for hours? Would they do a good job? These thoughts plagued me all day. Thoughts of cancelling entered my mind more than once. But I decided to brave the unknown. Jose, a dental hygienist, asked me to come in and apologized for the wait which was only about 15 min. He was really nice, explained everything that was going to happen and then he said something that made my day! "We are not going to use a needle to numb you, we are going to use a gel to numb your gums" WHAT???? Was I hearing correctly??? A short time later I realized I had heard correctly as he administered the numbing agent. Jose was great. He even gave me his blue balls to squeeze.....his blue stress balls that is. He did an amazing job with the cleaning. As I sat there during my cleaning I can hear how the staff interacted with the other patients and again everyone is so nice. I know it's weird to say but I am looking forward to coming back next week to have the other side of my mouth done. I said it in my last review and I will say it again....I am so happy I found this place!

I called ahead specifically to say I would be late because of traffic. The call center confirmed it was okay. That should have been the end of it. Instead, I received a follow-up call from the office that immediately felt tense and uncoordinated. I was asked "exactly how late will you be?" in a tone that felt more like I was being reprimanded than simply checked in on. After explaining again, I was told about a 15-minute grace period, followed by a very pointed warning that if I wasn't there by 4:18, I would not be seen. There was no effort to reconcile the conflicting information between the call center and the office. No flexibility. No attempt at understanding. Just a rigid rule delivered in a way that made a routine delay feel like a problem I was being scolded for. What makes this stand out is how avoidable it all was. A bit of consistency and basic professionalism in tone would have completely changed the experience. Instead, it felt unnecessarily hostile for something as ordinary as traffic.
