When I called for a quote, I talked to Spence who helped me throughout the process and was sure he answered my and my wife's questions. He presented different quotes as requested without any fuss. The crew that showed up at my property to do the work were diligent, hardworking, and performed their job to the max. They removed my old 4.5' fence and installed a 6' fence with 6x6 posts, which is unusual if you look around, as I did as I was out and about around the area, I haven't seen anyone with 6x6 posts, all of them have 4x4 posts, which means that this fence is going to last a very long time in my opinion. Also, the cap and rails on the top of the fence are beefier than most of this style, (2x6). The word I use to describe this fence when I tell my friends about it is Diesel! When the inspector came out to look at it, he walked the fence and was done in about 2 mins, with no questions as I'm sure he was impressed with the quality. if you're shopping around for a fence, make sure you talk to Spencer and the folks at Heartwood Fence. Not only did I get a higher quality fence, it was at a price that was less than the competition.

It's so beautiful and really transformed my yard so much!! I live on a corner lot and didn't realize how much the existing fence didn't give me privacy until the new one was put up. I also added fence along the back of the property hiding the tiny tacky chainlink fence the people behind me had. Now I have 100% privacy where we can enjoy the yard. Craftsman Fencing came in with the best quote I couldn't pass up. The workers are very professional and kept the area clean. I love my new fence so much that I decided to have them replace another section to tie it all in. I'm beyond happy with the work and still find myself just looking out the back window admiring my new fence!! Thank you Craftsman Fencing!

He suggested a better layout than our prior fence. He showed examples of past work. He provided an estimate by email and was available by email and phone with any questions. We did receive other quotes and Matt's was the best for the option we chose. His crew showed up early every day and was polite and professional. They always cleaned up at the end of the day and were willing to answer any questions. Matt was there to check on the progress of the work every day. The crew did the demo in the old fence and put up over 200 feet of fence in a few days. Matt was super easy to deal with even though we share a fence with the neighbor and both fences were being taken down and installed at the same time. The final product was outstanding. We are very pleased we chose to work with Matt and Craftsman Fencing. Great company

And their pricing is very reasonable, too! Our backyard neighbor hired them to remove their old privacy fence, and install (honestly, I'd use the word "CRAFT") a new privacy fence, with cap and band. When they were only on day 1 working on my backyard neighbor's fence, I asked if by chance they could remove an extremely large two-story metal laundry pole behind my house (see pics). They said absolutely and they could do it later that same day, and they gave me an unreal price to do it. Mind you, I have asked many other handymen, contractors, etc and all have said no (liability fears?). They even went above and beyond to ensure the base of the pole which was stuck in a humungous cement block, was filed down and bent inwards well below the ground for safety. Then, we asked about removing a partial privacy fence and long chain link fence, and install of matching neighbor's new privacy fence, to include a trash can corral with a gate going in and a gate going out so we could roll cans directly out onto driveway and down to street, as well as two other entry gates (one on each side of the house). They truly listened to each and every detail of our needs without a single hesitation, and understood everything we envisioned. As soon as they wrapped up my neighbor's fence, they went right to work on ours, then a few other neighbors who saw the work they were doing! Their work is just phenomenal and the crew is beyond professional, courteous, and respectful. Their attentional to detail is superb, and they ensured they left each day with everything secure and clean. Could not recommend this company enough, and it's great to know I can and will call them for probably any type of handy-man thing around the yard!

It's just a fence…read more........ Ashley was our project manager, and she did all she could to help me get through the issues of my fence, which I appreciate. The actual installation of the fence is where the disconnect comes. The contractors are there to put up a fence. However, that may go. Since Dandale employs these people, I assume they are up to the company's standards and living up to Dandale's mission. I assume they have worked on other projects and have gotten approval, making their resolution and customer service how Dandale wants the experience to go. After my wood fence install, I had concerns about some of the wood quality used. The contractors dismissed me six times, saying they had to use it, and gave me the final walkthrough paper to complete on my FIRST final walkthrough. The final walkthrough paper is misleading because to sign is agreeing that "you are 100% satisfied," which was not true in my case. After getting in touch with Dandale and showing pictures, the contractors had a change of heart and suddenly left and returned with better wood quality. After changing the pickets and one rail post, I pointed out two more. Instead of changing the whole rail, they cut it with a chainsaw, cutting into the post simultaneously. They then put a new half piece up (for some reason, leaving the other half of the poor-quality wood still there) while leaving the splice in the post and the point where they connected unevenly showing. To make matters worse, they left without a walkthrough, meaning there was still another rail similar to this janky fix that needed attention, but at that point, I no longer wanted the same crew and mentioned this to Dandale when I contacted them with the new update. The answer: The same crew returned a third time to put a picket OVER the unsightly uneven half-board connection they made (hiding it) and did not address the issue of driving off. I asked the contractors for a new crew to do the final repairs, but they insisted on doing the last rail and, this time, did a final walkthrough with another family member. I still don't know what it looks like a day later, nor do I care to know. Dandale approves their methods, so there is no need to continue to go back and forth. My experience is why I say Gillian oversold the company. It is not a miracle fence company that only does fences and has the highest quality products. Some may be true, but it does not translate to an experience, unlike any other fencing company. My experience was not the highest experience or quality (without much back and forth). It is just a fence company that CAN put up a nice fence. It is not worth automatically stopping here just for the name or what the salesperson says at the two-hour quote (and yes, it takes two whole hours) CONS Pressure cooker: Personal preference probably, but I do not like making decisions on the spot. When you get the quote, you must accept it at the table or lose it. Another pressure cooker moment is when doing the final walkthrough; you are walking through with the same people with whom you may have voiced concern and had to go back and forth. Uncomfortable, especially if you have the same number of back and forth as I did. Problem-solving: When you have an issue with the contractors, they send the same contractors out to fix the problem you have already told them about. For me, this meant them leaving and coming back too many times. By the last time, it is clear that customer service is out the window. Quality: The contractors ignore the quality of the materials when picking, loading, unloading, or using them. Only some of the wood is poor quality, as most of mine was good; however, to boast that you have the highest quality product means you vet through the material. From my experience, this is not the case. It is "you get what you get." PROS: They offer a flat rate Military Discount They handle your HOA They advertise to have a five-year warranty (I cannot attend to how this will go, but I may have to use mine) The consult to get a quote is scheduled quickly The process from beginning to end is done as soon as possible The contractors were pleasant Gillian bleeds Dandale (she may have oversold the company, but she deserves every bit of acknowledgment for how she represents them) The direct Dandale employees are pleasant, professional, and friendly.

We went ahead and allowed them to continue as is.. No one from the company ever came to property at beginning or end of project. The company really needs to think about how they are running projects. In the end the fence look okay but I had them leave some some fence planks so I can replace some boards that are not (I feel )correct. I felt like my wife and I were the project managers.

We also used HomeAdvisor to which we found Everett's. Many of the contractors we called never came out when they said they would. Many of them who did show up, never fallowed up, or even had the courtesy to call to say they weren't interested. Everetts was one of the three who did come back with a bid out of a dozen or so. When Josh came back with the numbers, he mentioned that we may what to throw our attention to our 20+ year old roof instead of the porch. We knew the roof was on it's last leg of life. So we shifted our plans to do the roof instead of the porch. So we called for a couple more quotes, Everetts came in the lowest for the same amount of work. In fact one roofing company (with fancy uniforms and nice new trucks) gave a quote $500 more and didn't include ridge vents, 40% more on any replacement plywood. So I had Everetts do the job and we decided to add on new siding. So now came the end of Summer, and we decided to go forward to add the porch. We got Everetts quote and another contractor's quote, who was nice enough to call back. We ended up with Everetts again, so glad we did. Josh Everett had his Forman James Eastridge do the work, from the roof to the porch. James is a really experience carpenter, polite, and professional. He also has a crew of the same character. I can highly recommend them for your next project. Thanks, James & Crew!
