My nephew introduced me to this shop a while back, and while it's a small drive from where I live,…read moreit's easily my #1 go-to place for everything Pokemon and general geek-grabbiness. I can only conclude that they applied for every scientific grant available to the public, as only a team of 12+ scientists armed to the teeth with quantum physics doctorates could come up with the tech requirements involved in microinjecting every atomic molecule in the place with geekgamosity, as this shop demonstrates it HAS, in fact, achieved for itself. Overinvolved descriptors and joking aside, there's nothing like a comic and collectible shop owned by people who have a true love for it all to go to. It's not uncommon for a newbie in a game/first time customer to feel a bit out of their depth, especially when a lot of gaming shops are prone to, um... having an 'elitist flavor' to them. But whether you're a young girl concerned over "common cultures" that can get in the way of the fun or an insecure guy who knows the difference between 'newbie' and 'n00b', leave those issues at the door here. The staff they have are just as friendly as they are knowledgeable, and even if a customer comes by with a super-obscure subject of geek-fun they haven't come across yet, they'll gladly spend time with that customer researching it to see if they can't fulfill your every oddball want and need (and perhaps most importantly, wont pretend they "know" to keep their uber-geek status intact... they seem to LIKE not knowing things and will ask YOU all about it to find out more). The owner is extremely hands-on, on-site more than most business owners and treats every customer like a valued regular, even if it's your first time there. In general, it has the best welcoming, all-inclusive gaming-community feel every shop in the field should have. I was glad to hear they'd opened their second space in the Eastfield Mall in Springfield, as spreading their brand of gaming-fun makes for fantastic influence. So big ups to you guys, and many thanks from a helluva-happy customer! Anyone who spent the time looking this up and finding my review, your search is over. Unlock achievement now and GO.

(I'd like to see a bit more lighting near the game shelves, but I have old eyes.) There were even some dioramas in the center of the store. There's plenty of parking outside. They have a nice variety of games open which you can play, as well as comfortable seating and clean rest rooms. In the gaming area, I saw more packaged "complete sets" of the games with numerous expansion sets, something I personally find preferable to lots and lots and lots of space devoted to expansion sets. I only wish they opened a little earlier in the day on weekdays.

Parking can be a little tricky with MGM construction, but great little local shops near by to eat or grab coffee as well. Need to be in and out, that works too. This store is also listed as "Comic's N' More."…read more This my review for that listing: " Let me start by saying this is not Target, Stop and shop, or CVS. This is a Comicshop, so it should not be judged by the same criteria as a supermarket. I do not go to a comic shop to pick up my comics like groceries flow through the express checkout and move on to my next chore. I go for the pleasure of talking to interesting people from varied backgrounds. With that said other reviewers are correct the shop is strangely ordered. The reason for the lack of order is mostly that the owner spends more time with customers. I will take some of the blame for distracting him. I brought my kids into the store when they wanted to learn how to play Magic the gathering, and I had no clue where to begin, he sat with them explained the rules and played through several games. I guess this time could have been used to organize. This shop operates more like a club house where friends joke and talk about art and reading, than a perfectly functioning conveyer belt megastore. I hope it always stays this way."

From the outside, the shop looks newly opened and there is plenty of parking available for customers. When we walked in, we were greeted right away, which is always a good sign. The store is very clean, although a bit smaller than most card shops I've been to. The selection was somewhat limited compared to other places, but they still had enough to find a few good items. My nephew has never opened an ETB before, so I was determined to get him one. The two guys working there weren't extremely knowledgeable about Pokémon or One Piece, so they couldn't answer every question, but they helped as much as they could and were still very friendly. We ended up leaving with a Prismatic ETB, a box of OP12, and a few Magic packs. They even threw in some sleeves and top loaders, which I really appreciated. They also carry sports cards, which is a nice bonus. Pricing was also reasonable. Very satisfying experience even though we had no big hits when we got home and ripped. I would highly recommend this shop for the excellent customer service.
