So disappointed. This Escrow company is the worst around. I called them to follow up with a Credit payment. This lady told me the check was sent and cashed by my Credit company. They didn't even include the account number in their sent check and it seems like the check has been lost and the Escrow company is saying that they're not responsible for it. Not worth to trust this Escrow company. read more

Very unprofessional. There were numerous typos in every document, which they repeated multiple times even after we pointed the errors out to them. This included the buyers' names. They made numerous errors in calculations in the closing statement, which we again implored them to correct multiple times. Irresponsible, sloppy, and uncommunicative during the process. They failed to close in a timely manner, and they held up seller wires for two days after closing. Worst experience we have had with escrow. read more

There really aren't enough superlatives to describe my recent experience with Lisa Coro and her team at Encore Escrow. As a real estate professional, I really depend on my escrow officer to be communicative, knowledgeable, and personable with my clients. Lisa checks every box! My recent transaction had a number of conditions that initially gave me some anxiety. The seller had a leased solar system, and agents have shared horror stories of how solar leases have caused transactions to fall apart. The buyer was also using a 1031 Exchange to facilitate the purchase. These 2 very complicated items were handled by Lisa so well that I really never had to even think about them. She handled all the paperwork with the solar company, 1031 facilitator, the city of LA and both the buyer and seller. Lisa understands the needs of agents and really makes it a point to respond quickly to any and all questions and requests. One of the least friendly escrows I've worked with. They suddenly stop responding to emails. Or won't talk to you over the phone. When you're selling or buying a property, there are a lot of questions you might need answered, or clarifications that you might require to be able to plan for the next steps. The job of the escrow is to be there and provide those answers or clarifications. In terms of sending the documents in a secured way, this escrow did what they were supposed to do. But in terms of customer relationship, they sucked. read more
