My friends and I had a wonderful time seeing the Maoli Band perform. Parking easily overflows to the shopping center across the street. The long line of ticket holders was efficiently processed through individual security with a scanner thorough with making sure we all are ready to party and not to disrupt. The space inside was organized, there were numbered tables for those VIP guests who find as well as indulge in alcohol. The general admission ticket holders get to come up close and personal by the stage. The concert went on for almost 3 hours including the first act, Lindsay James, definitely a riding star to watch!

Apparently Zeiders rents out their space for events, so tickets for this event could only be purchased online and not directly from the venue. The venue isn't large and has stadium seating. I'm not sure if they were trying to freeze us out, but the AC was blowing full force in January. They sell snacks at the concession stand. The entrance is on the second floor, and street or garage parking is available.

The Virginia Stage Company's "A Very Merry Christmas Carol" at the Wells Theatre has become a…read moreholiday tradition for our family and this year did not disappoint. The entire audience seemed excited for the performance, with the Christmas spirit felt throughout the lobby and theater. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The available concessions were tasty, though the spiked eggnog was sorely missed this year. One recommendation would be to improve communication regarding drink availability at the bars. If certain beverages are not served at the theater entrance bar (like hot cocoa and coffee), they should not appear on that menu, or guests should be informed before waiting in line. I witnessed dozens of theatergoers being told after a long wait that hot drinks were only available at the side bar by the front windows which created a lot of unnecessary frustration. The Wells Theatre has a wonderful antique nostalgia while remaining well maintained and very clean. We were fortunate to experience the show from a completely different seat location that previous years, on the opposite side of the house, and the updated writing and script changes were enough to keep the production feeling fresh and engaging. We also appreciated the intermission being placed after the First Spirit rather than after the Second, as in previous years, as it made the acts feel more balanced. Additionally, the return of the Third Spirit's in-audience entrance was definitely appreciated.

There isn't a bad seat in the house and the volunteers absolutely go out of their way to make sure everything is as perfect as possible. As a disabled person I have my challenges and they really go above and beyond to ensure I am comfortable and cared for. Every single volunteer is pleasant and thoughtful and they all give 100%. The costumes, direction and choreography of the plays is spot on and the attention to detail is very professional. I am always blown away at the level of professionalism here. As I said earlier, it's a level above what one normally finds in community theater. It is a fun experience to attend these performances. There is lots of parking and everything is handicapped accessible. Do yourself a favor and take in a show.

However, as soon as the show began we were captivated. It was very exciting from start to finish and not like any other event I have been to in this area before. The performance was about 2 hours, divided into many smaller performances that were each about 5 - 8 minutes (guesstimating) . Of all the performances, there was only one that we thought was a little cheesy. Otherwise, we loved the show and had a great time. I was considering bringing my 4 year old niece, but there are parts of the show that I thought could be scary to a small child. I would guess most of the kids there were probably 6-10 years old. If you're looking for something different to try out, definitely give this a go. The arena is pretty small too, so i wouldn't recommend paying the VIP price for tickets, since there's only about 20 rows of seats anyway.

I attended my niece's recital and was absolutely dazzled by the costumes and performances. Hosted by Channel 13 news personality, dancers from five years old fifty five years old tapped, twirled, crumped and danced around the professionally decorated sets in hilarious, beautiful and exciting routines. The costumes were wonderful. Seeing the five year olds perform California girls in their little surfer girl costumes was so adorable I almost teared up. The adult dancers were truly moving with ballet, tap, interpretive and other dance styles. I can't say that my niece learned to be a great dancer at Golden Slippers, but I can say that we all enjoyed watching her learn there.

This is modern, international, SOULFUL, spectacle of immense talent. Lighting, sets, sound engineering, and costuming were all accomplished very well. The performances were out of this world!!! The acrobatic skill level was the best I've seen in years! The two muscle/strength guys- I still don't know how you did it!?!?! Hats off to the high fliers and all those who performed way up in the air defying gravity. The show was excellent. The message of family and each generation bringing the next along and upward was touching. At the end, all the cultures and nations of the performers were highlighted. I thought we were really running late and were going to l be rushing to get in before doors closed but we got in with 20 minutes to spare. Getting through security was a breeze. Allied Universal did a great job getting people through efficiently. I had a clear bag so they didn't even have to search through it. The staff was very friendly and helpful from the security at the door to the usher who helped us find our seat. We purchased our ticket on Ticketmaster and they were super easy to quickly pull up and scan using the Apple Wallet feature. The show was fantastic and Josh Johnson was hilarious. I do recommend that if you want to buy merch or have to use the bathroom you do so before the show ends because it's quite chaotic with everyone trying to leave at the same time. The location of the men's bathroom on the second floor goes against the flow of the crowd of you're on the first floor like we were. All in all though I highly recommend this venue and would not hesitate to see a show here again.
