This restaurant was recommended by a friend the service was awesome polite and efficient. They offered great suggestions the spice on the curry was just right. The cabbage was cooked to the right tenderness.the rice and peas was a little off some was mushy other was dry. Not sure what caused that. Lovely little stop for traditional Jamaican fare. They serve excellent Jerk Chicken and fresh fish delights. They also have vegetarian dishes. I noticed many people i assume are from the Caribbean eating here. What better seal of approval? They have a spectacular Callaloo dish and know how to prepare Oxtail better than you've ever had it! I have known about this restaurant for a long time, the oxtails are very tasty and the chicken is too. The rice is very dry, and the cabbage is dry too. I am from NYC and all the Jamaican Restaurants in Columbus Ohio can't hold a candle to the Jamaican Restaurants in New York City. I wanted to order Akie and Salt fish, and they didn't have it. they advertise it on the menu. they don't offer boiled dumpling, nor do they have yuca. overall, I would order again because they have very good Oxtails and chicken. read more

Enas is such a great place to grab some bomb authentic Caribbean food. The service was very quick and the lady that checked us out was very nice. The is no seating inside, only outback. The parking is very small and the area isn't the best. However that doesn't affect the magic in the kitchen. Everything was cooked to perfection and we tried all of the sides. I heard about Ena's and read many great reviews so I decided to try it for myself. I had the stewed chicken with white rice and collard greens. The chicken didn't taste like the typical Jamaican stewed chicken that I'm used to. Ena's chicken was more like a baked chicken with a thin gravy on top. The tastes wasn't bad, it just wasn't Jamaican stewed chicken. I was very surprised to see collard greens on the menu, this was a first. The collard greens were not to my liking because I could taste the vinegar. But, that may just be a mid-west thing. But, I found the service to be fast and the staff was very pleasant. We eat here almost weekly. I've had everything on the menu at least twice. I can say, without doubt, that Ena's has the BEST escovitch fish. The greens.and macaroni & cheese are pretty good too; they seem homemade. Parking can be tricky, but we have good luck parking next to the building on Myrtle. The inside of the restaurant is clean and functional. Call in your take-out order early because they don't stay open late. There are a few seats if you want to dine in, but it seems that most people get takeout. read more

Ena's Caribbean Kitchen got me right after work! This Jamaican spot if Guy Fieri approved so if you are trying to take a trip to flavor town, this place will indeed get you there. When all I was craving was flavor, spice and all things nice. It was easy to park in the back or you can turn on Myrtle and Cleveland Avenue to park on the side. I got in easy and stood in line. Mask not required for vaccinated peeps but there's no dine in and social distance is encouraged. I ordered the Jerk Chicken with Mac and cheese and collard greens. The smell permeates my senses in my car. I was ready. When I got home, I set this bad boy out and took a bite of that food.... when I tell you I had to bite and savor each scoop.... man.... it's a lot of food. I'm always on the hunt for a good Jamaican restaurant whenever work brings me to a new city. Sometimes I find a mediocre one and sometimes I find an authentic spot like Ena's. I visited twice while I was in town. I was not disappointed. I had the jerk chicken, the Bbq Jerk chicken and also the spicy beef patty. The jerk chicken was full of flavor and seasoned well. There was some heat but nothing off putting. The Bbq Jerk chicken was a nice take on a classic which sees the regular jerk chicken smothered in sweet bbq sauce. The beef patty was also well done. A flaky crust and spicy beef made for a great snack. Notable mention goes to the rice and peas which I chose as a side. If I had to critique it would be be about the service. I got the typical "no smile, just order" treatment. I was not really bothered by this as the food made up for the service, or lack thereof. Delicious. The food is really well seasoned, spicy but not just hot for the sake of hot. The dinners definitely make at least a meal and a snack, if not two meals. The jerk chicken is my favorite so far, but the curry goat was great as well. Not totally impressed with their COVID protocols - they have lots of hand sanitizer and signs about distancing and masks, but then the woman at the counter was pulling down her mask to talk. Im from South Florida, recently moved to Ohio. I wanted a taste of some authentic Caribbean curry. So I looked for one of the top rated cuisines in Columbus. So I went to Ena's, I was kind of excited when I first got there. When I tasted the Curry, it was terrible and if your from the islands you know the taste of authentic curry. Furthermore, the meals should come with two sides and two to three pieces plaintains. Ena's charges 5 dollars for a side. The meals at Caribbean restaurants come in three different sizes. I was very disappointed, and in conclusion they are not even real Jamaicans, I figured that out after eating the curry. read more

I went here with coworkers and a client, and was hesitant at first. The neighborhood isn't the best and the look both inside and outside is deceiving. We walked in and took a look at their menu board which has the perfect amount of options. I ended up with the jerk chicken with cabbage and beans and rice. My coworker got the ox tail.
