The premade food choices are growing by the day. They are always adding to their offerings with new flavors and tastes. I started coming to One world market in 1997 when it was first home by a husband and wife team. It was very special at that time to have a Japanese focused grocery store and I was so happy to have one in the Novi area. This has been my go-to for decades now. When it was transitioning from private ownership to the Noble Village group, owned by True World group, there was a transitional decline, thankfully, that didn't last long and things are developing very nicely. I hear even more growth is on the horizon as they establish an even greater presence in the building next door. I am also thankful that the integrity and the high-quality is very much present and everything they do. The service is always top notch and they try to open up a lot of lanes so people get through quickly because it is busier than ever. The word is definitely out. I've seen a lot of posts on social media and it's bringing in an even greater crowds, which is fantastic! Note: the on-line ordering is also so convenient and their sushi platters are high-level!

We dined at the Marketplace for lunch. The service was pretty decent! Ordered using the QR code and dined there. There's no table service. We got the sides: rice with miso soup, Pork Katsu, Some type of grilled Salmon and Udon Noodle Soup. The food was great with reasonable pricing! The portion felt more Asian size. Not too huge which we loved. Definitely going to be back to try their Sushi Nigiri and Shasimi. Do stop by, you won't be disappointed!

It's rumored that it's haunted to this day by its original builder & owner, Charles Rogers, and many have reported experiences of paranormal activity! The service is professional and they'll ensure you enjoy a delicious meal while spending time at Shiro. I really like how they have so many different unique rolls; I've never seen anything like the Fatty roll, and you get a perfect bite of everything with the Angry Mikey roll! This is by far my favorite Surf & Turf roll I've had anywhere! The quality of the filet is top notch; and the Pinot Noir Horseradish Sauce is unbelievably good! You also HAVE to start with the Spicy Garlic Shishito Peppers; they're the best!

I came here last night for dinner and I'm gonna be so honest.... I was underwhelmed…read more The host was very kind. He did change our reservation time twice for us but that was the extent of my good experience here. Because of traffic, the friend meeting me was a little late so I sat alone for a little bit. I told our waitress that... she came back a little bit later saying "are you ready to order" .... My friend still hadn't come and I already told her that. The thing is, I understand forgetting so that's what I thought happened. But it became clear that her attitude was intentional. While I was sitting alone, I noticed an ant crawling on my table that I had to kill & I was seated next to some windows and there was subsequently a FLY that I also had to kill ("but you didn't have to kill it"... shut up yes I did) I also had a sushi menu that was already written on. I dont know weird. I understand the appeal of the old house converted into a nice restaurant but it still just smelled like old house and lowkey like rotting wood. The windows also were clean. I dont know it was just bad ambience until it got dark. NOW THE FOOD... The miso soup was my favorite thing on the menu. So that is saying something. My two rolls were underwhelming at best. The fish was chewy.. but a bad chewy. There was barely any fish. The cucumber kimchi was bad. The cucumbers were not good quality. It felt like they were old actually. At the end, our waitress was lowkey rushing us. I swear it was the most I had seen her all night. She set the bill down, would split it for us... she said she'd split it after we put our cards down... what does that mean??? So whatever, me and my friend just paid 50/50 on the bill. (Even tho the menu expressly said that they can't split bills for parties of more than 8). We were only two people. Whatever. Dont come here unless you're just interested in cute vibes.

My biggest con about this place is the layout of the restaurant. My party made reservations in advance for 8 people. Since this was our first time there, we weren't aware that all booths were only for 4 people, with no larger accommodations available. Despite our reservation, we ended up having to wait about 30 minutes for two tables to open up. They weren't even in the same part of the restaurant, unfortunately splitting up our party for our entire stay. The worst part is that three of the booths are directly in front of the door. It's Michigan, so every time that door is opened you are blasted with cold air to the point that everyone was eating with winter jackets on. I was seated in the second row into the restaurant and was still chilled every time the door was opened. Each table is supposed to have a plate deposit where it keeps track of how much you are charged. However, our table's plate deposit was broken and we were told to keep our plates on our table and add them up manually. This led to us having to keep a bunch of dirty plates in piles on the cramped table while we ate, not appetizing. This led to us being unable to pay on the tv, and to pay with one of the waiters. We handed the waiter our credit card to pay, and they ended up disappearing for about 45 minutes. We had to call over several people to track down the person that took our credit card so we could finally leave (the dirty plates stayed the entire time on the table). The sushi was yummy but those prices really add up quick. Each plate is almost 4$ and has two rolls each so you're left to either eat until you're full and have a high bill / keep track of your bill and end up hungry. Overall had a fun but frustrating experience. I've tried it once so I will recommend others to skip this place and head over to One World Market or head over to Sharaku in West Bloomfield instead.

The star of the show every time, the sushi. We have our favorites that we order regularly, such as the chicken tempura roll, so good. Yesterday, we ordered the BBQ roll: Fried pickle, mozzarella cheese inside. Torched New York strip beef on top. Finished with spicy mayo, bbq sauce and fried onions. What creativity! Unique and delicious! The NY strip was so tender as well! We also enjoyed the steamed shrimp Shumai, the kashi katsu and chicken donburi. Lunch comes with miso soup and a small salad with the most delicious dressing! We will be back soon!

I…read morenever heard of this place until the day we went, and I was in love with the deliciously crunchy looking sushi the photography had to offer. My name is Dave and I'm here to say... it's alright. I love the whole stylistic blow-show they present when you first get a table. The post-war Japanese influenced architecture and plates/bowls. It's definitely eye candy; and speaking of candy, let's move onto the food. Moving on from the so-so transition into the food, I have a note. I haven't been here in a couple weeks, I'm quite late to this review. I don't remember the names of everything on the menu. Sorry, I have to go off of duct-tape memory and Yelp's 100% always working, fully functional AI generated menu system. My life is so easy! Would it sound possible that dessert was my least favorite thing we ate during our visit? Well, you'd be surprised. It's a backhanded compliment, but a compliment nonetheless. The Tofu Ramen was a little too soft but it had a nice flavor profile, and the Spicy Sushi we got was also quite nice. The Cherry-chapped Tempura we got was not enjoyable, even though it was prepared delicately and looked very attractive. Something about Tempura 90% of the time, it just shouldn't be a thing. (Says the uncultured white that has never experienced good Tempura). Overall, I respect Sushi House. I respect it because it tries, and I believe it doesn't attempt to be anything it isn't. However, it definitely feels more pretentious the more you dig in. (3/5)
