Review for Antonelli's Plumbing:…read more I want to start by acknowledging that Frank, the owner, is very kind and the prices are fair at Antonelli's Plumbing. Mike, the plumber, is knowledgeable for Frank's clients. Overall, I would give them a three-star rating. On the positive side, Frank is prompt, knowledgeable, and offers fair pricing. Mike's expertise was good. However, there are a couple of areas where my experience with Antonelli's Plumbing fell short. First, I have been dealing with them for over two and a half months. During the process of getting four toilets swapped out and a Basement Watchdog pump installed, there was confusion regarding the number of toilets I wanted to replace. This miscommunication caused a significant inconvenience, especially since Mike left four nasty toilets in front of my door for over 2 weeks and had no intention of taking them, telling me to call my trash company and haul them to the front of my home myself. Trust me, if I had known I would be responsible for hauling my old toilets, I would have moved on quickly. I am the only one handling these homeowner tasks due to my husband's recent stroke, so adding that to my plate was not what I imagined. I expressed this to Frank, who assured me that Mike would handle it, but Mike did not fulfill his promise. Additionally, since I had water damage from my sink leaking, a mold company was called and then a dump truck was needed, thankfully they allowed me to throw the toilets that were left in front of my house within the 24 hours before pickup time at 7 am. However, Mike left 5 mins before the dump truck arrived, leaving it to me and my 11 and 9-year-old to haul these toilets after going to Home Depot and buying an $89.00 dolly! Again, this left a very bad taste in my mouth. In my past experiences in California, born and raised, contractors or plumbers always clean up after themselves. When I addressed this concern with Frank, he assured me that Mike would take care of it. But as you can see, that wasn't the case. However, Mike claimed that his van couldn't accommodate that many toilets and instructed me to contact my trash company. This unexpected responsibility of disposing of the toilets placed a burden on me, as I had to rely on my children. Not cool at all. Furthermore, when it came to the Basement Watchdog pump system, Mike advised me to purchase a specific battery, which turned out to be incorrect. I went through the hassle of returning the battery and getting another one based on Mike's recommendation at a different facility he told me to go to. However, when Mike tried to install the second battery 2 weeks later, it also turned out to be incompatible. At this point, I was looking at Mike as if he had been giving me the runaround and wasting my time, so I looked at him with a smile and asked him directly to show me the exact battery he needed. He pulled out his phone and went right to the battery I needed to get. This lack of transparent communication led to unnecessary delays and frustrations. I felt Mike literally had given me the runaround, and after walking him out, I knew I wouldn't be welcoming him back into my home again, and I knew he knew it too. Another area where Mike lacked was in properly communicating the payment methods that were accepted. When I asked Mike about the acceptable forms of payment, he mentioned credit cards with high-interest rates or checks. I opted to write a check, which took almost two to three weeks to process and clear from my bank account. The second time I needed to settle the payment, I reached out to Frank directly and asked what form of payment he takes, and to my surprise, he listed over ten different payment methods available. This inconsistency and inconvenience outweighed the fair pricing offered by Antonelli's Plumbing. Considering all these inconveniences, I have decided to find another plumber for my house needs. I did inform Frank that I would contact them in two weeks to proceed with the order for the battery for the Watchdog pump system, but I have since changed my mind. The multiple mishaps were too much for me to overlook. I cannot continue to bear the consequences of these delays and miscommunications. Mike dropped the ball too many times, and at this point, I am uncomfortable dealing with him. In conclusion, I wish Antonelli's Plumbing success and prosperity in the future, but I will be searching for a different plumbing business to assist me with my upcoming plumbing projects. This is my Honest review
