Last year I had a fever with a high temperature. It happened at the end of the week. At night something shifted in my hip bone area and I started feeling an annoying pain. It kept growing, and by the end of the next day I couldn't sit, stand, walk, or lie down. The pain was constant. The painkillers didn't work. Stretching didn't work. A warm, relaxing bath with salt didn't work. I was crying because it was unbearable. Somehow I made it through Thursday night, Friday, and the weekend. First thing in the morning my husband called Dr. Max to make an appointment, and thanks God he had a few openings, so I was able to come in. After a careful examination, Dr. Max made some adjustments and the pain was gone. It was like a miracle! I couldn't believe that in such a short time, the pain that had kept me from doing anything had disappeared. This is just one story about Dr. Max's work. I have many, since I've had the chance to see him whenever I needed over the past ten years. Julie is a rare professional I feel comfortable coming to no matter how I feel, even when I am exhausted and can barely speak. She provides thoughtful support and a healing massage for my joint and muscle stiffness. She uses a special machine (PEMF) that identifies which area of the body needs extra attention and shows what condition it is in. The machine sends electrical impulses that are mostly pleasant, but where there is real stiffness, it shows up and helps Julie see how the flow goes. It helped me a lot when I had an intensive period of workload and sat for 12-14 hours in a row. My body was crying. I had problems with my lower back and shoulders. The stiffness was so strong that I had pain at the end of each day, while walking, or while I was in bed turning onto one side. Gradually, through her hard work on my lower back and shoulders, the stiffness eased and the pain has gone. I appreciate that the results keep going long after I leave, lasting weeks and months. Julie helped me restore it and heal some of the areas that did not work properly for quite some time. I wish I had known earlier that I can address my condition and recover. I know that it is also helpful with some sports injuries and rehabilitation after surgeries. My mother-in-law tried it, and it helped her with an old surgery to restore more mobility in her shoulder area. Her arm now has a greater range of movement than before the massage with Julie and her machine. I enjoy the temporary relief it offers. Which for the most part getting cracked offers TEMPORARY relief. I took advantage of their $29 first time adjustment. I was sorely disappointed. There was zero cracks. Every single crack was done through a drop table. There was no relief. This is opposite to what I've had in the past. My preferred form of adjustment is manual with hands and no presence of a dropping table. In my opinion the drop table was lazy. It provided no relief. The only time I got a "manual" crack was my shoulders and below my neck. Felt like a waste of money.

I have been a patient of Dr. Robyn Chementi for many years, and I am pleased with the results. Yes, it sometimes does smart a bit, but it's worth it. The doctor is now practicing in a brand new facility in Danville, in the pleasant Livery Shopping Center. The office looks brand new, and it's really comfy inside. They even have free coffee in the waiting area. Besides the treatment rooms, they also have an area for massage near the back. On my most recent visit, I had very sore neck and shoulders. The doctor worked out some of the knots, then used the "stim" machine in conjunction with heating pads. "Stim" is just a nice way of saying, "Lets give you some shocks." This is perhaps my favorite part of the treatment. Working at the electric company, I naturally appreciate electrical machines like this. They put electrodes on your body. They sort of stick to you--I think that makes the shocking work better. As the doctor turns up the voltage, you can feel a little bit of tingling, but it's not too severe. You just say, "Stop," and she turns it up a little bit more, then stops. It's pretty exciting. The doctor also released the pressure in my neck and back. She sort of rolls you over and squeezes really hard. At that point, you hear some cracking noises coming from various body parts. But they're usually good cracking noises. It feels really good when it's over. Another fun device is a machine called the "Adjuster." It sounds like something parents use on misbehaving children, but no, it's actually for adjusting parts of your body. The doctor presses it against your back and hits a button. Then, it hammers you sort of like a jackhammer on a street, but not quite that hard. In the old days, it could only adjust you once, but with the electric kind you can adjust the patient a whole bunch of times, with just one button push. It's much more efficient that way. At the end of my treatment, Dr. Robyn also used a fun device called a scraper. (Well okay, that's probably not the scientific term, but it seems accurate anyway.) I thought it was made of plastic, but on a recent visit, the doctor showed it to me. It's actually thick metal. It sort of looks like brass knuckles. She rolls it along your skin digging in a little bit. It's not really as bad as it sounds, and it's very helpful. As the treatment today was proceeding, I actually felt my muscles beginning to relax. Keep in mind that treatment can be a little stressful on your body, so plan on drinking lots of water and perhaps taking a nap afterwards. Of course, I'm far too young to take naps, but you older patients might wish to do so. Seriously, I appreciate the professionalism from Dr. Robyn. Plus, she's just a flat-out nice person. I pretty much trust the doctor, but I still watch carefully when she's at the dials of that stim machine. Trust, but verify.

Third child-- I am not new to the industry or parenting world and each child had tongue/oral ties. As a parent dealing with this, it is emotional and taxing. I wasn't very informed with my first, became more informed with my second and with my third, decided it was best to invest for peace of mind. Pre and post body work is KEY to a successful release. Already with my third, we have had a faster healing process. Dr. Ko is incredibly knowledgeable and compassionate. My daughter is incredibly different compared to my two boys and it brings me to tears because I wish I had seen her sooner. She goes above and beyond any provider-- she is resourceful and even sends follow up texts to check on you.
