I wrote a review on Google Maps already, but wanted to write another one here!…read more The studio is awesome. Both the workers and the teachers are so kind. They make it really easy to get started! I was initially on a 4 pack, but enjoyed my workout so much I decided to get an unlimited membership. I've taken Slow Flow, Mobility, Restore, and Sculpt & Flow and all of them are amazing for the body. Since I've written about my experience on Google Maps already, I'll write about my new one today when I took a Sculpt & Flow class with Mary recently and she was so nice! She saw me and recognized that I haven't taken a class with her yet, and she spent a lot of time before class to talk to me about what to expect and also encouraged me a lot, since I was really nervous. She even checked in on me after class too! Her attention to her students and knowing them by name makes it feel so much like a community. Also shoutout to the front desk who I approached and asked about Sculpt & Flow before the class too. Before class while waiting for the studio to be cleaned she also spoke with me about what weight to choose, and even went to the back with me and helped me find what I need. I haven't done yoga in years much less in a class format, but the community and everyone makes it so much easier to get into it :)

Going to her classes is my favorite way to start my weekends. I missed several months due to a hamstring injury and when I came back, not only Lana but several classmates who are regulars greeted me very warmly. It made me feel that us regulars have formed a community and it is more than just exercise to come to Lana's classes. She is a delightful and humble person who imbues her classes with the most positive and relatable vibe. I live within a walking distance from the studio and walking to and from Lana's classes adds a sense of pleasurable rhythm to the whole experience. No need to worry about parking! I am really happy to have such a wonderful studio so close to where I live.

They're a gem of a yoga studio, my home studio for over 11 years now. Mostly Iyengar style so…read morefocused on precision/alignment. Great for beginners because they meet you where you are. Classes are in-studio, online, and hybrid, usually well-populated but not overcrowded. Class pricing is in line with this area but a better deal with a bigger package. By now I especially enjoy the morning 2-3s with Naomi and Miri's 3-4 on Monday nights. I do recommend the 3-4, but know that the teacher brakes for nobody and expects you to try. Don't be daunted--the teachers have a variety of perspectives but are all extremely experienced and encouraging. They are able to attend to every student without disruption to the class flow, which is tricky. I've gone through rough patches with yoga--but overall, with the guidance of this studio, I have evolved successfully into a regular inversions practice and more advanced backbends. I started out too weak to open a door without getting shoved away, so it's a dramatic improvement. (Still working with tight hamstrings...) However, a lot of folks are here to improve or maintain good health or simply to relax during the week, and you don't need to develop an athletic practice. It's a great environment to find what works for you. I recommend the intro deal for trying out different teachers. Also they offer workshops around many topics and host senior teachers from around the country. The original owners retired this year so they do have new owners, but they came from within and are well-known to longstanding students. And the transition has been easy aside from a little drama with the new online class reg system. Start/continue your yoga journey here--you won't regret giving CYC a try.

since my first review i've experienced them in their temporary spot ( business office area on el…read morecamino ) and now their permanent spot in downtown los altos and let me tell you, a total upgrade to their original spot in los altos! the new space is very beautiful and the lobby/cubby area is a lot bigger and not so "smooshed" together like their original spot. the parking situation has also improved. you have many options to park (garage or street) in all directions of this downtown location. tons of cute shops, bars and eateries in this area too. ive learned to embrace the classes held here too over the last year. i thoroughly enjoy the options the instructors give- and ive learned to be forgiving of what my body can handle on any given day. thank you for encouraging a positive space

It does get busy because there are other businesses there but I've never had trouble finding parking. Before you start your first class, they have you try a starter class to get introduced to the equipment and what Pilates is about so it's not too daunting on your first day. I've had the pleasure of taking Nicole's classes and she's an amazing instructor. I appreciate how she takes the time to learn everyone's name. She always offers modifications during exercises and gives good feedback.

My email request was ignored, and I ultimately had to cancel in person. Wonderful instructors, but the studio ruins the experience with deceptive billing. If you buy a pass, assume it will auto-renew until you cancel through multiple channels. Rating: 5/5 for instructors, 0/5 for financial transparency and billing service.

The teachers, desk staff and cafe people are warm & caring, plus there's an additional office with avurveda, acupuncture and other treatments by lovely, qualified folks. When I was looking for a yoga studio, a friend said, "there is only one place-Breathe." She was right. The space is welcoming, with gifts and cute jewelry, there are 2 spotless showers if I need, filtered water, all the props. Do not hesitate--check this place out. While every single teacher may not be "yours", these are consistently excellent instructors who share stories, songs chants and even play an instrument once in a while. Candlelight flow, hot yoga, aerial yoga, power, yin, you name it. It took me a minute to commit (I did several punch cards before I took the plunge and joined) and I'm so glad I did.
