Under new ownership as of March 2022. Lena is super sweet & conscientious. I've been in for multiple mani/pedis since Aug. Every person that's worked on me delivered outstanding service. Hubby got the Modern Pedi, & for me, the Deluxe Pedi & Mani today w/ Hallie. It includes a hot stone massage. Worth every penny! The $5 callus remover gets you a foot scrub w/ a rasp that removes all your dry dead skin. They were very efficient, got us out of there in an hour, but took their time & didn't shortcut the massage or painting, despite it being a busy Sat. Happy to have found them! read more

worst pedicure I have ever had. Took the girl all of 15 min max. Was left sitting in the chair with a cold wet towel over my legs at the end for 15 min, took it off myself and took toe spreaders out myself. Paid 36 dollars for it. I've visited 3 times. The first visit was ok. The second 2 were horrible. The woman providing my pedicure was very rough. Each visit she drew blood more than once. The polish coverage was also poor and end result was lumpy. I could see my nail through the color. There was also a .90 service fee added to the bill. Not sure that that was for. I went to this nail salon because it's very close to me. I decided to try a new place because my normal salon was closed today. It started out horribly. The lady doing my nails cut my nails down to the skin, and when she was filing she continued to file my skin and drew blood. I let her keep going and by the time i was done my nails were lumpy, and already chipping. I knew she noticed because she made a face but instead of fixing it she went into another room and i payed and left. I do not recomend this place unless you want a horrible nail job. read more

This is the only nail salon I will use, and trust me I've tried them all in Brunswick-Topsham area. Lena is top notch, always gets my nails perfect just the way I like them. This is the closest nail place to me so I keep trying to give it a chance and I keep getting disappointed. I walked in today and was told to come back in a half hour. I asked if I should wait or leave and come back. They said leave but come back in 45 minutes. I came back in 45 and they were all busy. It is upsetting for me to leave this poor review because the first two times I went here I had a great experience. The woman doing my nails was kind and genuine. She talked to me about her 4 sons and i talked to her about my daughter. She was wonderful and did a wonderful job. The time before last that I went there I waited for literally 30 minutes before anybody serviced me at the pedicure seat. I understand soaking my feet, but not for that long. Oh well, I thought. The rest of my experience was good. Then I went there again last Tuesday to get a gel pedicure and manicure (what I always get). However, this time when I got the pedicure they used the lamp thing that you typically use for gel nails. But I realized that they had never done that in the past. Were they never doing the gel pedicure in the past? I was confused. Then I went to the manicure station. The woman, Kim, who I had never seen there before, was my manicurist. She first off asked me if I was there to get my eyebrows done too...I found that funny and insulting considering I had just come from getting my eyebrows waxed at Pura day spa in Brunswick! Ha! I am in the process of growing out my eyebrows so maybe that's why she said something? Regardless, I was taken aback by that. Then, I told her u changed my mind on the color and would like a light pink. She showed me a light pink she had right there already. It looked fine. However, after it was done I realized it was a sheerish light pink that I believe they use for French manicures. Why wouldn't she show me my options? Or ask how I liked it on? I thought after it was done with a couple coats the color might be better. Nope. Then, she asked me if I work or go to school. I said no I don't I am a stay at home mother. I love being a mom, I want to have more children. She went on to tell me I should work and provide for my kids. She really pressed the fact that I should be working. Excuse me!? After completion, she told me: Next time you come I will do your eyebrows. Never do them yourself again...Ummm... Finally, at check out, I was charged more than I had ever been before. In the past it was $49. Now it was $64. Did they never really do gel pedicure and never charge me for it, therefore, leading me to believe I got a gel pedicure when in reality I didn't??? I always went there for the great price and for the super friendly woman (who wasn't there this last time). Needless to say, I won't be returning. read more

Overall my experience here was pleasant and relaxing but it definitely was not the quality that would have me returning. I'm from out of town and chose this salon because of its location (my husband is golfing nearby and we're attending a wedding tomorrow). When I walked in (at 10:45) I was greeted by a couple of friendly people who worked in the salon. I had made an appointment for 11:00 but they took me early since there weren't any other customers. I took a while to choose my color and wasn't thrilled with their selection because they had multiple different brands of nail polish, there was some OPI, a limited amount of Essie, even less China Glaze, and then a variety of others I had never seen/heard of before. I chose the deluxe pedicure (decided to spoil myself) and am ultimately happy with my choice. The man who did my pedicure gave a great massage- my only critique would be that it didn't last long and the water wasn't as hot as I like. Deluxe pedi= $41 While I was getting my pedicure, another woman started my manicure. I let them know I wasn't in a rush and it could wait but they kept working. The manicure was your VERY basic manicure.. my fingers barely soaked in water, and I left with dry finger tips. She did put lotion on and messaged my arms/wrists a little after she put the color on but it wasn't great. After filing my nails, my hands never went back in water and therefore the edges of my nails aren't the smoothest on the underside/edge. She put on the color okay but asked me how many coats I wanted and didn't do a great job.. there are some spot at the tops you can tell aren't done very well and I have a tiny bit of polish on some of my fingers. Overall it looks good but not great. Mani (with pedi)= $10 There was a woman at the salon (Kim) who was very personable and friendly and chatted with me a lot. The others who worked there were pleasant and talked a little, but Kim was especially talkative and struck up quite the conversation. It was nice of her to do so. So, I'll try to summarize: Color selection (non-gel): not great Customer service: very good Pedicure experience: good Manicure experience: not great How I feel my nails look now: good, but not any better than if I had done them If I came back to town, I would look for another place, but this salon was not awful! Just not like many I've been to that seem to pamper much more and create a much more finished look on my nails. read more

The staff is super friendly and they always do a great job with my color. The salon is clean and quiet and doesn't smell like chemicals. The 3 stars rating is because the basic pedicure costs what most basic pedicures cost, but is extremely... well, basic. There is no exfoliating other than scrubbing your feet for a minute with a hard scrub brush and no hot towels. Just expect a dip in the water and color. After your color you get a little lotion. They try to upsell your pedicure as they have a lot of options. I'm sure the other options are great, but of course they cost more. If you're just looking for color on your toes, get the basic! If you're hoping for a regular pedicure, you'll need to upgrade. read more

I had a very unpleasant experience here yesterday. The woman was rushed, the pedicure was not done properly. Every shortcut was taken that could be taken. She couldn't get to the next customer fast enough. I called to ask about having the gel changed since the color wasnt what I asked for. It was lumpy, on my cuticles and skin and missing in some spots. I was told to come in the next day. When I arrived the woman who did the pedicure got up from her customer and argued with me, saying the color was right. (It's really not) trying to down play any complaints I had. She told me to come back in 2 hours because they were busy. No appt was made. Instead of going back a third time, I've decided to not visit this nail salon again. Just having the polish fixed without arguing or to be made uncomfortable would have been enough to make me ignore the subpar pedicure. The buffing block was used on the tips on my toes, in an attempt to remove the dried gel on them, which hurts. Nails were cut so short, cuticles not pushed back, old gel was ripped off with the cuticle clippers. I cant recommend a nail salon if service depends on who you get. Some are good, but it isn't worth possibly getting someone you'll be this unhappy with. read more

They are very friendly and make sure that you are happy with your time there and the outcome of your nails, I showed up for a fill on my acrylics 30 minutes prior to them closing and they stayed late and did not rush me at all I felt very welcome and respected there and my nails came out AWESOME! My daughter and I were hesitant to come here after reading the reviews, but ultimately decided to try them out. I'm so glad we did!! Melissa and Michelle did out mani/pedi's and we had a really great experience. There was a special Kids chair for my daughter and she loved it! The technicians even recommended a great product to address a nail problem my daughter has had for quite some time. The girls talked to us the whole time and answered every one of my daughters ridiculous questions. Lol! Then when we went to pay we got a broken down cost of what we got, which I don't think I have gotten at any other nail salon ever! That was really nice to see. As a bonus it was HALF the cost of some of the other salons we have been to in the surrounding areas. We will definitely be returning and would recommend anyone to try them out! read more

WHY? ask us to come earlier???? As we got up to leave they begged us to stay, so we did. I usually have Melissa do my manicures and pedis and she does a good job and is very nice and friendly. Since she wasn't there today I had a male employee do my nails and its by far the worst gel manicure I've had. He was rushing and was too rough on my cuticles. There was no one else after me so i don't know why he was even rushing. I told him that my nails were bumpy and not smooth and he pretended to fix it by filing one nail. Ok all that did was scraped the nail polish. Anyways I ended up paying $26 for a shitty gel manicure and in top of that he expected a tip. BEWARE! RIP OFF! Back in August I went in for a pedicure. The guy who did my pedicure did try to get me to upgrade but I declined and told him I wanted the standard pedicure for $26. When he applied the polish he put a big glob on each my small toes and it looked messy. I asked him to correct it and but he didn't seem to think it was a problem. It took two attempts to remove and reapply the polish. When I got my credit card statement I found that they had charged me $36 and not the $26 which is what my receipt showed. Even though I wasn't impressed with the job he had done I still gave him a cash tip. I am in the process of disputing the additional charge with my credit card company. Even though this salon is closer to me, I will not be going back and will go to Nail World in Brunswick instead. read more

I have been here twice now, and both times has been less than impressive. This last time really was absolute disastrous. We came here to get our nails done for my friends wedding. She had made an appointment for 6 of us. They did not have enough staff to accommodate our group. But, that didn't stop them from accepting more clients. Since they were so understaffed and had so many clients, they rushed through each of our pedicures and manicures. They also did not do what we asked. We showed them a picture multiple times, but they did not understand what we wanted. It was the worst pedicure I have ever had in my life - the water was cold because I had waited so long for an employee to be available, and they basically did nothing more than paint my nails. The "massage" was just rubbing lotion on my legs, nothing more. The bride ended up having to wait 2 hours before she got her nails done. There were clients who came in and had the same services as us that finished before some of our party. They also only had enough to give 3 of us small glasses of champagne and then they ran out. Overall, it was just a horrendous experience. I will never return here again. read more

The furnishings are new, as are the wall displays of polish. We noticed they have smaller character chairs for kids...very cute! Our attendants were very thorough and gentle. Where do I start, I feel like they didn't know what they were doing they hassle you into upgrading your pedicure choice after you clearly state which one you want. And I don't see the point of lotioning your legs after they paint your toes? So you go through a whole pedicure and don't even get lotion on your feet?? All that for $26 and the pedicure was they put my feet in a bucket of cold water for 10 minutes.
