They have an excellent bar upstairs which is very comfortable and relaxed- a place where you could equally go on a date and sit back and read the papers on a Sunday afternoon. They sell a variety of organic snacks and drinks which you can take into the cinema with you, in addition to the drinks which you can buy from the bar upstairs (a big plus of this place is being able to take beer and wine in to the cinema) The chairs are extremely comfortable- far more comfortable than usual- and are worth the extra few pounds that you spend on getting in.

Luxury is the name of their game, however I think they have missed the mark, a little bit. Upon entry it has a very polished retro feel, plus furniture in the lobby area, multiple seating areas, the bar is well proportioned in relation to the space. I'm sure some people may actually go there just to sit have a drink and catch up!! I think there are 4 screens and the film I went to see was in screen 4, which is upstairs. Ordering the food and drink was nice and simple, apart from no sweet popcorn at the upstairs bar!! So had to go back downstairs to get popcorn but they did bring it up form me. Staff were helpful and professional, the seats in the actual cinema were comfortable, I'm sure they will feel less stiff as they get more bums on seats!! Now at the beginning of this I said they have missed the mark 'a little bit'. I say this as with all Everyman cinemas they bring food and drink to you, if that's what you request, this is where they missed the mark. They, in my opinion, didn't leave enough walkway space between the seats so when people are walking past to get to their seats it's very 'snug'. So when staff bring food and drinks it's a bit of a trial. Hence only 4 stars from me. That aside if you've never been to an Everyman. It is an experience but remember this isn't Vue or Oden and that is reflected in the price of tickets food etc etc. Worthwhile going as a treat to yourself or someone special in your life.

It's a really lovely intimate setting - quite small so regardless of where you end up sitting you have a great view of the screen. Also pretty impressed with their selection of films - it's nice to see some smaller productions every once in a while. Tickets are a little pricey (£13) but I do think that it's worth it if you want the convenience of total comfort and relaxation.

The flicks are 13 quid a pop but that's about how much they cost everywhere else and you don't get fancy seats with all the rest! PERFECT date spot!

We were there at 10am on a Sunday morning so it was very quiet which always helps when you go to watch a film so I don't know if it would be so good when it was busy but blimey the chairs are good. So much leg room and double thickness arm rests which lift up like they do on trains. Very nice indeed. There is a little bar there too.

The seats were soaked in God-knows…read morewhat, the screens were covered in mess, there was popcorn everywhere, the projector was projecting wrong, there were balloons randomly in the theatre blocking the top corner of the screen. Their response was at least honest; "Unfortunately, due to the clientele in Romford it is difficult for us to maintain a consistently high quality" - and I believe them. The Vue in Romford is decent as Multiplexes go; but the problem comes when you find lots of kids who'd rather text each other across the room and make random turrets type noises than watch a movie. We used to avoid this by going to screenings at 11pm. But we found that although the kids were gone, their mess wasn't. I complained a much of times and to be fair to them, I got a few free tickets-- but it got to the point where I'd rather pay to go somewhere else and not have to sit on someones unwanted popcorn. Cinematically; the films are presented well; good sound and good size screens; but often you'll find coke splashed on screens or my biggest problem; holes in the screen (meaning shiny bright sparkling areas). A cinema that tries to be good but doesn't quite pull it off. Go elsewhere.

As Paul mentioned there is a lack of food, but to be honest there aren't many cinemas that do a huge range. As this is near a shopping complex there are a few places you can go to eat. I am a huge popcorn fan, and Vue does do tasty popcorn. The screens are good and the seats are comfortable, this Vue is great to watch any film =)

As well as…read moremainstream films, they show livestreamed shows from the National Theatre, Royal Opera House, etc. You might think that live streaming a West End play into a cinema doesnt work, but trust me - it is very well done (and for a fraction of the cost too)! I have seen some superb West End plays there. They have a cool little bar, so get there early, have a drink or a coffee and finish them off while you watch a movie. It's just a nice experience....

Considering how much you pay for a movie - and that what you are paying for is the "experience" - this is enough to keep me from ever coming back on a Friday or Saturday night again. Warning: Due to the aforementioned nearby businesses, if you go in for an early, 7 or 8 p.m. show on the weekends, brace yourself to exit to a street full drunk 18 year olds, shouting, wobbling and giggling their way around. Noted for it's spacious couch seating, waiters to bring you the snacks you ordered, and a little table to keep it all on, it is a little more expensive than other cinemas, but you get your money's worth. I have been to other Everyman cinemas and enjoyed the VIP treatment, but in this instance, I found my seat very hard to get comfortable in. It wasn't too hard, but it was so high off the ground that it was impossible for me to get comfortable. It might work for someone 6ft tall but for me, it just wasn't working. I would recommend not sitting in the front, I think there might be better elsewhere in the room.

It was delightful. Later saw Paddington Bear here too. The seats are very comfortable, especially the soft leather sofa. Unlike some other cinemas it's kept very clean. You can also purchase adult drinks at the bar to take into the studios.

The layout is very much the same but the facilities have benefitted from a much needed upgrade like the toilets have been done up, almost all the screens now have premiere seats located at the back. The establishment has decided to get rid of the waffles and replace it with milkshake a instead. Also, they have an array of chocolate bars to add to the shake mixs such as, toffee crisp, malteasers, rollo etc. This is a great addition, especially when you are considering the nice cold drinks to go with the summer films. Additionally, look at your full price receipt brought at the box office as they have been giving out 2 4 1tickets as a nice bonus!

I can imagine it would work rather well for people living around Canada Water/Rotherhithe because the SQLP complex is rather well served by buses and is a quick walk from Surrey Quays and Canada Water stations. Negative points because of the recent rise in tickets. I remember paying below £7 for several shows once upon a time. That seems like a distant memory now - or perhaps I'm just missing something. Also, for no fault of theirs they have to be penalized because of the lack of pre- and post- movie things to do.
