Such an absolutely stunning theater, the staff are so very helpful, the reclining seats were puffy and felt like a big hug, and the surround sound was marvelous. I think everyone should see something there at least once. My 2 hiccups were pricing - it's £19 to get non-reclined seats on the 3rd level far up and far back to where the screen is so small, £26 to get reclined seats on the side rows of the middle floor (called upper circle), then £31 to get good seats. Given that the view of the screen from the £26 seats still felt small and far, it seems the experience is priced a bit too high to make it worth it as in - if your not ready to shell £31, you're better off going to a "regular" theater. All of that, I was treated very well, the floors, bathrooms, even escalators and waiting areas were squeaky clean, the theater was stunning, and I had quite an okay time. read more

Home of the premiere indeed. I was walking around Leicester square minding my own business when I see tons of people setting up a red (pink) carpet. I inquire inside the movie theatre and the staff was so friendly and informed me they were hosting the global premiere of the new tv show Pistol based on the band the sex pistols on Hulu/Disney Plus. They gave me a wristband and told me to come back around 4pm so they could place me inside the viewing area when the stars come in. It was such a fun experience and once in a lifetime! I even got to see two episodes of the show after the carpet. They gave us popcorn and water as well as a souvenir t-shirt. All episodes of the show are out now! read more

During our visit in London, since we weren't able to catch a Broadway play we caught a movie instead. We got tickets to the Hobbs and Shaw movie and we were those tourists pointing out the London sites we visited that we saw throughout the movie. Now this theater could not be called simply a movie theater, it was just too big and I was not even sure if they have additional movies going on in other sections somewhere in the building. The theater we watched the movie in was huge like a play house and the movie screen was the stage. The seats went high up just like in a concert cuz we purposely picked out the cheap seats at the top of the theater just about. And the stairs were no joke cuz I definitely almost tripped going down. To me it was better than an IMAX experience and it was only 10 pounds a ticket. Concessions were decently priced. However popcorn only had a one size fits all thing going and for the size the price didn't match up much less encourage you to buy more especially if you had to share. On the second floor they have a full service bar for those that needed a cocktail while they waited for their flick. All the staff was friendly and helpful. The building itself was very well kept even the bathrooms. The movie, ticket prices, theater were a great experience and I would definitely want to do it again! read more

This is a small, but clean cinema located centrally in London. It's easy to find and close to public transport. I booked my ticket online for a blockbuster film. When booking online, I was able to choose my seat in advance, which was nice, but there is an up charge when buying your tickets in advance. Concessions are limited and what is advertised on the website is not always offered. When I arrived at the cinema, the theatre wasn't ready. In fact, we were held about 20 minutes in the lobby past the scheduled start time because the theatre wasn't prepared. This was a bit inconvenient and the staff were not very apologetic. You are assigned a seat, but it is difficult to find the seat labels as it is so dark. The chairs are comfortable, but the screen is really, really small. It almost feels like you are watching the film in someone's house. The doors to the toilet are at the front of the theatre next to the screen so the people getting up, opening the door so the bright light streams out, and slamming the door behind them is distracting. If you are desperate to see a film, then this is an okay place to do it, but I would expect a slightly more glamorous experience for a cinema in the middle of central London's tourist area. read more

This isn't just a theater... This is an experience! They don't have many screens but they still played some good titles. On vacation from across the pond, missed the Broadway ticket booth so decided to catch a movie. There were a couple of good choices to pick from like Spiderman homecoming, Lion King, but we saw Hobbs and Shaw; the next installment of the fast and furious franchise. The beautiful thing was they had ticket prices based on the section you wanted to sit in. The lower levels had reclined seating and food delivery options for about £18 and up. The upper level was between £10-£16. we got there a little early and I enjoyed the view of the square while my wife and daughter enjoyed their snacks; sweet and salty popcorn and a frozen ice drink. The theater was massive!! Large enough to hold a small concert or a play for sure. I recommend everyone looking for a good movie experience to come here. read more

The Odeon cinema on Panton Street is located just a short walk from Piccadilly Circus and the Piccadilly tube station. In spite of this it remains a relative unknown compared to many of its brothers and sisters in the Odeon empire. The complex itself is relatively small housing only two screens but prices are distinctly lower than other cinemas in this highly expensive area. The best thing about this place is that it retains films often for far longer than most cinemas meaning that if you happen to miss a release you can always come to see it here at a later date. In addition Panton Street offers far more experimental, foreign and artistic films meaning it's often a favourite with film students and the arts-minded. The screens are small but of good quality and the seats are very comfortable. This cinema is a great alternative when you want to see something a bit more challenging. read more

Saw "Victoria and Abdul" here tonight. The movie was excellent but the theatre had a bit of an operational meltdown to start. We had paid for premium assigned seats in the upper balcony ... and when we got there, there were already people in our seats who had been told that it was a "free seat" night with no assigned seats. I thought they were kidding around at first, but they should be their tickets and sure enough they did not have assigned seats on them. Kind of odd if you ask me. Someone screwed up along the way. The theatre itself is pretty cool ... obviously an old converted theatre, and sitting in the balcony was quite fun. I actually would go back for the experience but would want to make sure the seat protocol was under control. read more

During the development of the large multiplexes being all about popcorn and digital sound, you can still find Panton Street Odeon- the homelike center of entertainment. Hopefully situated in the middle of centre, it is easy to find. Unlike for Odeon branch, Panton St is one of the smallest cinemas I've ever seen in London, but surprisingly the friendest one. It's intimate atmosphere strikes right from the entrance- not many people are involved in the buisness, so you can always meet the same woman selling you drinks and the same man checking the tickets. Although having only few halls, the cinema provides us with the most interesting and often unreachable titles. You can watch the classics along with the newest range of drammas. The money value is excellent- before 5 p.m. you can get any ticket for only 5 pounds. read more

Worst cinema in London! We went to see a blockbuster on the big screen and the theatre is so tiny, it felt like watching at someone's house. The floor doesn't really angle up towards the back, so even though I'm tall, I spent the whole time trying to see around the people in front of me. Ridiculously, the only loos are at the front of the theatre, next to the screen. So any time anyone needs to have a bathroom break, they walk to the front (blocking people's views in the process), opens a door, so light goes on the screen, and the door shuts with a bang. There is a reason prices are so low for a central London cinema, it wasn't even worth it on a free voucher, we would have rather watched on a laptop! read more

If you are looking for a small cosy cinema in the heart of West End London, this is the place. It doesn't show all the big blockbuster hits, instead showing the alternative less popular and more indie movies. I have not bought anything from the snack counter and so will skip commenting on this. The staff are very pleasant, the only reason I have put in a lower rating is because the foyer is tiny, so if you have more than 10 people wanting to get in, (such as free film preview nights) the queue quickly goes all the way outside the door and snakes around the corner. I believe there are only about 5 screens at the cinema, and the quality of the screen is worse than the bigger cinemas in the same area as you can clearly see the many pixel dots on the screen. I saw the Cuban Fury preview yesterday, pretty good film. I have learnt that if some movie makes it to the smaller cinemas (especially when it comes to foreign movies), it usually means the film is worth watching! The good thing about the cinema, is that it's so small when you leave the screen (i.e. I was at screen 2 yesterday), the exit comes right out next to the original door, no need for long treks inside the cinema to get to the outside world! read more

My second favourite Odeon after the Covent Garden, the Panton Street branch offers a similar fare of film (largely indie/arthouse/foreign language) only with a concentration on films that have left other cinemas quicker than deserved, or those that have been overlooked. You can pretty much guarantee there's always at least one film on worth watching. The peculiar layout of seating (and specifically, location of toilets) does let things down. If the cinema is busy (which luckily isn't too often) you may find yourself in a seat with a slightly obstructed view, or get distracted by the bright EXIT lights or the smell of the bleach from the toilets (or worse smells!). It's possible I just get irritated too easily ;) read more

Consistently delivers watchable movies when all around have blockbusters and cgi trash. I have enjoyed visiting this cinema for 15 years but the hiatus of the last 3 or 4 has seen prices rise to a shocking degree- at £20.40 for a pair of tickets it's no wonder that people would rather invest in flat screen , wide screen, blu ray home entertainment! The cinema itself is comfortable but with much smaller screens than you might expect this close to Leicester Square. The snacks were also ridiculous with a bag of Walkers sensations costing £2.75! But this was the only cinema in London still showing Mesrine: Killer Instinct in the evenings and for that I salute them! If you're looking for decent foreign language or 'arthouse' cinema in Central London- The Odeon Panton Street is one of your best options. read more

This small cinema is just a stone's throw away from the hustle and bustle of horde thronged Leicester Square but may be a better option for those seeking interesting or off beat fare rather than the just the experience of seeing a blockbuster on a massive screen. The downsides, however, are that the foyer is extremely small and serves only a comparatively limited selection of drinks and snacks. On a recent visit I was also disappointed by the quality of the screen as the material used to manufacture it made the picture look somewhat pixelated. Credit to Odeon for providing alternative programming but the nearby Curzon on Shaftsbury Avenue is a better venue. read more

If you like European, 'World', or indie cinema, Odeon Panton Street fits the bill. The screens are medium to small size, but what i like about the cinema is the selection of films. They also often show new British films. I use their Odeon Premiere Card whenenver I see a film at an Odeon, which eventually gives me enough points to see a free film everynow and again. Off-peak hours the prices are good, eg. students £7, and on top of that on Tuesdays they have 25% off all day for Odeon Premiere Card holders. So on Tuesdays, I usually pay £5.25 or so for a great foreign or American indie film. I would advice film buffs to check out what Odeon Panton St is showing as many times you will find films that aren't being shown anywhere else. read more

This is a nice little Odeon, with a good selection of your more arty/foreign films. It's got a handy location in the centre of London, and is a nice break from all the blockbusters they show around the corner at Odeon West End. Prices are a bit high, but I guess that's London; I think I'm still stuck in my student ways from ten years ago! Annoyingly, one of the screen is absolutely tiny, and you do wonder sometimes whether you'd be better off watching it in your own front room, especially as all the seats are either side of the screen. The last film I saw here was Il y a longtemps que je t'aime (I've loved you so long). This is one of the West End cinemas that you check if you want to see a foreign language film, or a British film with limited distribution. Sure, the screens are small, but it's not over expensive (unlike the Odeon Leicester Square). It's also unlikely to sell out. And you can go over the road to eat at the Strada Panton Street before seeing a movie. Odeon: please introduce a loyalty card. If you did, I could pay £15 a month and see a couple of movies for less than the price of a ticket on the door. read more

Odeon Panton Street is centrally located with a good and varied scheduled of films that is much more varied than some of the other centrally located Odeons. I saw the excellent argentinian film XXY here which I highly recommend by the way. Prices as I think another reviewer pointed are as expected for central London although not as high as Odeon Leceister Sq. The decor and general appearance of this Odeon however leaves much to be desired and could do with a serious overhaul. But all in all a good place to see slightly more varied fodder than the usual mulitplex fayre and in a great location. read more

The Odeon Panton Street is just off Leicester Square but a world away really and can be hard to find so check a map first. It's tiny with almost no foyer and is a bit of a flashback to the past. It's a good place to find films that have already stopped being shown at the big cinemas (that's after about a week then!). Main disadvantage is that the screens are small but it does feel homely in a way and prices are a little less than the Leicester Square arm and a leg a few doors away. Cheap food can be found at the Stockpot not too far away as well. read more

The great thing about this cinema is that it shows a lot of great movies that you won't be able to see in a lot of other cinemas because they haven't proven so popular. However, the screens are small and the door that leads to the toilets is at the front of the screen room. The seats are a bit off too. The staff, are not friendly. At best, they are indifferent. Price of an adult ticket was £12 and some change. What the heck???
