I found Emperor Motors when I was searching a used SUV, namely the 2003-2008 Toyota 4runner. After dealing with a few not so great dealerships, especially a small, used car in San Mateo, I was exhausted. I called Emperor and spoke with Anthony. He was super polite and transparent. We filled out paperwork before I arrived just in case it worked out. I arrived at my appointment in the afternoon and test drove the car. It was great, Anthony was very clear on the imperfections of the car before arriving but mechanically, it was rock solid. It also didn't have the leaky gaskets that I found on other used 4runners. After some negotiations, we we're able to settle on a fair price for my trade in and the car. He worked with my credit to get good financing and I was able to pick up the car the next day. They cleaned it and polished the headlights for me. All I did was sign the final paperwork and drive my new car home. I've bought quite a few used cars and this was by far the most pleasant experience. Anthony was very transparent and really great to work with. We did not end up buying a car with them, but they are a very good used car dealer, which is obviously very difficult to find. Emperor motors sell used cars that are generally pretty good condition for the asking price, and usually below used car dealer prices. Service is pretty patient, though you do need to schedule an appointment. A bit of an issue with them is that they don't seem to be very keen on doing financing, however they specialize in used luxury cars that go easily over $20k. This was the most unexpectedly pleasant car buying experience. Anthony helped from start to finish. He is the opposite of the stereotype sleepy car salesman. Most honest and due diligent professional I could imagine. I bought a Lexus nx200t 2017 still with a year of Lexus warranty and got a deal I couldn't rival anywhere else after months of searching myself. They worked with me a bit on the price but the prices are already very low compared to anywhere else I found. With the shelter/covid, was a little hesitant because I couldn't test drive the car first, but Anthony gave me 1 day to return for any reason and 2 more day return window if any issues were discovered. This made me more comfortable with prepaying for a car I hadn't driven. It's been about a week with the car and I love it, altho with the shelter orders I haven't gotten too much opportunity to drive a lot. But I drove from Fremont to San Francisco where I live and around the neighborhood a few times and it's great so far. I would highly recommend that anyone purchase a vehicle from Emperor Motors. I did not purchase a vehicle from here, but appreciate the level of effort from the owner Anthony purchasing a vehicle. I was in search for a 2008-20010 BMW 535i and just missed out as the vehicle I wanted was sold prior to my arrival. Anthony looked for a month to get the mileage and colors I wanted, but he was unable to find one. I considered to purchase other vehicles on the lot and the dealership was very flexible on pricing and willing to negotiate, however I ended up purchasing the 5 series from another dealership as they had exactly what I wanted. Even when looking at vehicles they took me through each of the Carfax's and what to look out for/best options. AVOID THIS BUSINESS - Hangfai will knowingly give you a broken car all for profit. When you ask him about the car issues he'll dodge your calls and avoid at all cost to reimburse you for any issue. the fuel gauge was broken and the car suddenly died on the highway with my family in it, he said it wasn't his fault and requested I fix it else where. read more

Anthony did a nice job for me on my Audi A4 2011, no pressure tactics whatsoever. He had two really nice and clean Audi's side by side and I picked the lower price one, test drive it with Anthony, and paid cash for it. He sits at his desk and shows you the CarFax and the details on the car and works out the pricing right in front of you. He backed into our agreed price to include tax. I like my purchase a lot and I'm pleased with the price, he was clear on what his margin is and that's cool, this is America, let's all make a little money so we can bless others. Also, he gave me some good advice on my dumb lease situation (never ever lease vehicles, it's an unwise and expensive transportation solution IMHO). I was quite wary at first but this is an established business. I'll come back for another purchase without hesitation. Terrible -beware. They pressure you to buy without investigating, then they lure you to get money to pay and sell to another buyer. Their cars are all from auctions and out of state so they have no idea what is going on with their cars. The only paperwork they have is a carfax. They are sleazy and untrustworthy. I recently bought a Corolla from Emporer Motors. They had the best price in the area and the car looked great, almost new! I couldn't even find anything to complain about to negotiate a lower price. Everything was extremely clean from under the hood to inside the car. At 100,000 miles you'd think the engine would look somewhat worn, but no, not even one speck of dust! It's kind weird but I had a very similar experience to that of the reviewer Jay M. I too discovered my 2006 Honda Civic on Cars.com and scheduled an appointment to view and test drive the car. I found Anthony and his staff to be very polite, hospitable, professional and I too felt no pressure to buy. They would have done a little once over with the car to make it a little more presentable but with a little miss communication on my part I showed up a bit early and they didn't have the chance. The fact that they would have tells me that they have pride in their cars and business that any other car dealer would. Having looked at many 335i vehicles I knew what to look for, and this vehicle was very fairly priced for the condition, mileage, and options it had.
