Once for pizza and another time just popping in for chips. The person who served us can't speak english very well. With the pizza, we requested to have a look at the chocolate cake slice, to see if it's the type with the nice creamy icing or just a cheap slice from frozen. He said something along the lines of What? It's just cake. Slice of cake. We attempted three times to ask to see it to decide whether we wanted it, then simply gave up asking. During the second visit, the man was texting on his phone and although looked up, didn't acknowledge us and went back to his phone. My Fiancé had a medium meat pizza with ham, chicken and beef. When we got it home, we wondered whether they'd forgotten the toppings, as it was mostly sparse cheese. The biggest bits of meat were barely pinky nail sized. A large chip portion was diet size. Even if you had asked for 'fries', you would also wonder how on earth they were sliced so thin, they're like onions. Again, after three attempts at asking for them 'extra done', Crispy, and for longer, he said Ohh, longer. I was still given greasy, chewy, undercooked fries. Their food hygiene rating is only three.

The takeaway is run by a Chinese family who are quite possibly the most friendly and welcoming people I know. Even when busy, the owner is always happy to meet new customers and makes you feel valued as a customer. The food is amazing, leagues above any other Chinese takeaway I have tried. There is an extensive menu of well over 150 choices. The prices do seem a little high, however you are given very generous portions. There is indoor seating and free prawn crackers while you wait which is a bonus! Cash and card payments are accepted, although orders must be over £10 for any card payments. Cash back is not provided. In conclusion, the best chinese takeaway I have ever tried so definitely worth visiting!

Finally, before a 10+ hour flight to LA, I needed a big meal so Nando's was perfect. I like that they are very sensitive to allergies by asking if we have any as they seat you. Even though it was breakfast time, I really wanted to try what they are known for so I ordered a half chicken with medium spice and chose regular rice for my side. I also ordered a side of Halloumi (fried cheese) which I recently discovered while in London. I had a Galao (a hot drink from Portugal made by adding foamed milk to espresso coffee. Similar to caffè latte or café au lait) to finish it all off. I really enjoyed the chicken as it was very tender and fell right off the bone with little effort. I love that they have all their sauce varieties at a sauce bar so you can sample multiple flavors. The medium spice level was perfect for me with just a bit of heat. The rice was a nice complement to tame the spiciness and the Halloumi cheese was a great side. Overall, I really like Nando's and will keep an eye out for one in the Seattle area to try. Thanks!
