I ate about 10 empanadas at this place. It was lively in there. They food was amazing and they even serve fresh fruit smoothie, which I had two off. The empanadas are about 2 dollars each which makes it a huge save when pockets are looking low.

I just got my ordered 15 mins ago and it came before estimated time. I got some empanadas, Bole de yuca, Capricho and Strawberry shake. Shake is ok not too sweet. Spinach and cheese Empanada and Chicken Bole de yuca are good. Im so full after 2 pcs of them so save some for my breakfast tomorrow. Im sure I will order for them again!!!

A humble gem in Washington Heights. I used to swing by here every other day before heading to midtown for work. From classic empanadas to more gimmicky varieties like the the pizza empanada, sandwiches and baked plantains, come hungry and leave satisfied.

Empanadas are not good. They put something similar to vinegar in the beef empanadas and they come with little bit of beef.

I'm not someone who is always saying everything is racist but when you weren't spoken to in a rude way, nobody kept bothering you and you still ignore and don't check up on us but check on all the other customers that are Hispanic. What other conclusion can I come to. You come to us speaking Spanish and once we tell you we don't speak Spanish from then on you're a complete A-hole. I'm a born and raised NYer and this is what I speak about when it comes to certain individuals in the Hispanic community. It's not all love. Some of them try and treat us as if they're better than and they're not. Long story short this bum didn't get a tip, but the server and the kitchen help that looked out did get a tip for just being decent and picking up the slack. Food is good get it to go because I only had an issue with that one server. Idk if anyone else is like that but I'm speaking on my family and I experience. If you're not Hispanic take heed and if you're treated the same way please don't tip. Do not reward bad behavior because you don't want to seem cheap. Fk em if they're rude and showing signs of racism. Which is crazy to me because you came here after us.

I was scrounging around Uptown hoping to find quality late night eats. Yelp told me the place…read moreacross the street was open, so I made that my destination. Upon arrival, it was not what I thought from reviews and pictures. Las Palmas was also listed as being open late, so I crossed the street to check it out. This was more in line with what I was thinking. Unfortunately, the posted hours are incorrect. Instead of having an hour to sit and be served, I had ten minutes to order take out. The interior was cute and I can imagine people here for a date or eating with the family. I decided to go with tacos. An order of fish and one birria. There are three tacos to an order for $16. I think that may be slightly costlier than nearby establishments, but not by much. I worried about the state my tacos because I had a ways to travel. But my concern was for naught. The bag and food were so considerately packed, nothing spilled. Including the consommé in a cup for the birria. Having the first fish taco, made me instantly decide I want to try this hot and fresh! It has a heaping serving of pico and a slice of avocado on top. My one complaint is that I needed more fish. Not sure if that's an accurate grumble or just me being late night hungry/greedy. I warmed the consommé a little before dipping the tacos. The onion and cilantro taste was perfect. The meat was well seasoned and melty good. Not fatty or tough like other birria I've had. I would absolutely return to this spot and try more of the menu

My friend and I came here for lunch. The space was lovely and we had the whole place to ourselves!…read moreThere was booth seating, a modern design, colorful space, and a comfortable, cozy ambiance. We were served complimentary thin buttered bread, which was crispy and yummy. For my drink, I had to get the Soursop Shake. This was delightfully thick, creamy, light, and refreshing. I ordered Mofongo with Steak for my meal. The Steak also came with onion and peppers. This dish was plated beautifully, with a pop of color from the veggies. There was boldly flavorful, savory sauce on the side. The Mofongo was perfectly made, well seasoned, while the steak was tender and juicy with grill marks. The sauce made the Mofongo even tastier. Service was solid. Our waitress was attentive and everything came out in a timely manner. I would return to try the Snapper Fillet, Fried Pork Chops, and Mamey Shake.

It was layered with sweet and sour vinegar onions which did not take good. Perhaps for a salad but not steak. The mixed vegetables were delicious. It was cauliflower, tender asparagus, green beans, and carrots. I do not recommend ordering steak from this restaurant. Just wasn't worth the price I paid. I reminded me of cheap stingy tough chuck steak.
