Since they have a banner announcing they are "NOW OPEN" I would assume they are relatively now. The service here was friendly and the place has a good overall ambiance. If you don't know what to order, these are my favorites: cheese, mechada (shredded beef), pabellón (shredded beef, black beans, cheese and sweet plantain) a and cazon (fish). Their coffee is strong or you can order guayoyo with is more like americano. They juices are fresh and each table has sauces to put in your empanada, I like the cilantro one.

The only reason I didn't give this place 5 stars is because of the space. It's a bit small, with no high chair for children. Favorites: - Seco de chivo (sorry mom but this was better than yours!!!) - Caldo de Bola (you can ask for lime wedges on the side) - Encebollado - Cazuela (order this if you love peanut butter. you can add onions to taste but i don't think it needs it!) I already can't wait to come back and try more entrees and their breakfast.

Pollo (chicken) was the best flavor imo. Machado (shredded beef) was good... not entirely sure how its different from the paballón bc they taste identical. I couldn't eat the camarones (shrimp) empanada bc im allergic but my daughter loved it. Yesterday I had the arepa de paballón (and arepa is a corn cake split open like a sandwich and stuffed with meats, cheeses and sometimes beans and platanos.) It was really tasty. The cheese used was like the Mexican cotija (very salty and granular) which didnt go with the flavors but I liked the meat, beans and platano inside. The masa was cooked well and not soggy or overcooked/crunchy. Cafecito was delish! Loved the richness.

For most people, this is a place to pass through when traveling between Kissimmee, the road to Poinciana and Davenport. This Latin Bakery is pretty awesome. They have a variety of Empanadas, Pastries, Coffees, and other items. Service is friendly and while this is a Latin Bakery, I experienced service in both Spanish and English. The staff made everyone feel welcomed. I purchased Venezuelan Empanadas (beef & chicken) and a Cachito Jamon (ham and cheese roll) and everything was really tasty. While I generally prefer Argentinian or Cuban style Empanadas, these Venezuelan ones were really tasty. Fernando gave me a Colombian Empanada to try and while these usually aren't my favorite....this one was really really good. For those who don't know the difference between Empanada styles, some of the differences are in the shell, flour or corn, baked or fried and there may be some differences in the fillings. I look forward to returning to try more of the tasty treats they have to offer. This place is definitely worth driving out of the way to visit.

They have all the standard empanadas, but what I really like are the specialty ones you don't always find elsewhere, like guava and cheese, coconut, or one with meat and plantains. I just wish they were closer to me because I'd go far more often. They have a large dining area, but it can get very full during peak dining times. They also have a prepared food area, and everything we've tried from there has been good. Not all of the staff speak fluent English, so communicating can sometimes be a little challenging, but everyone tries and we've always been able to make it work. But when we go, it's really for the empanadas. I haven't found another local spot with this much variety. Totally worth the drive for us. The surrounding area of the plaza isn't the best, but I'm there for the food and the empanadas are worth it!
