When I got home, I realized I'd been given the wrong order. Whether I responded to the wrong number or they called the wrong number, I don't know--but no one verified the order when I picked it up. I called the store right away, expecting a simple "We're sorry, we'll remake it." Instead, I was asked for my order number (I had already thrown away the receipt), then the last four digits of my credit card, and then the exact total of the purchase, which required me to log into my credit card app. They eventually agreed to remake my order, but when I returned, instead of an apology, I was given a lecture about checking my receipt before leaving. The entire staff stood behind the counter while I was made to feel like I'd done something wrong. It was embarrassing and completely unnecessary. Mistakes happen in every business. What matters is how they're handled. A little understanding and good customer service would have turned this into a non-issue. Instead, I left feeling blamed and unwelcome. I'll probably continue coming because the food is so good, but I sincerely hope management works on treating loyal customers with a little more kindness and respect when honest mistakes happen.

I strongly recommend the Criolla empanada, which is the most traditional, Argentinian empanada. It has ground beef, raisins, eggs, green onions, and spices. It was absolutely delicious and, when I go back, I will select this empanada!! I also recommend the corn empanadas (humita), especially if you're looking for a vegetarian option. It has corn, melted mozzarella, and white sauce. So delicious! I got these to go, but there are cute tables indoors and outdoors if you want to enjoy your empanadas there. They also sell mate and other Argentinian goodies like alfajores. Prices are reasonable; you can purchase just a few or a dozen. This has become my favorite empanada place!
