We did a special order for Thanksgiving . . . we ordered two trays of Empanadas, one Turkey, and one Potato & Pea. They came frozen and all we had to do to prepare them was to heat them up in the toaster oven . . . very easy! They were well liked, especially the turkey ones. The potato and pea reminded me a little bit like a Samosa. Mucho Bueno . . . Cheers! P.S. If you are hungry, and in the Bridgeville / South Fayette area, they are running a special for "Black Friday," all food is 15% off (today only)!!!

This is my favorite place to order empanadas to go from! They come frozen and with very clear cooking instructions. One of our favorite family owned businesses to support!

The empanadas are good! I had the baked chicken, pork, and beef, the pork being my favorite. All three were flavorful with a pleasant, tasty mixture of spices - but let's pump the brakes here on some of these reviews talking about how these are God's gift to empanadas - they aren't. Mi abuelita used to make way better empanadas than these. Again, they're good - but should be better when the price is $3.00 per empanada. I could probably make my own that are just as good if not better. I'll definitely come back when I'm in the mood for empanadas but don't feel like making them myself, and maybe the fried ones might be a little better even! I recommend the business 100%! But don't expect your mind to be blown by these if you've been eating empanadas since you were a tyke.

Food is excellent, small but packed with so much flavor. Service is polite & speedy. Ambience is like a little restaurant.

A wonderful, Argentinian-owned restaurant. Extremely clean, super-friendly staff and the empanadas were delicious!

4.5 stars overall. Pabellon is a casual restaurant that serves Venezuelan and Mexican foods for…read morelunch, dinner, and catering for dining in, takeout, and delivery. The menu lists appetizers (e.g., tequenos, tostones, yucca, and tortilla chips with dips), Venezuelan arepas (gluten-free cornmeal cakes filled with meats, cheese, or vegetables), Venezuelan empanadas (gluten-free cornmeal filled with meats, cheese, black beans, or plantains), Venezuelan mains (gluten-free criollo, cachapa, and patacones), Mexican tacos, Mexican burritos, Mexican enchiladas, non-alcoholic beverages, desserts (e.g., flan and churros), and more. Venezuelan cuisine is a blend of indigenous, Spanish, and African influences, and most of it is naturally gluten-free. In addition, several vegetarian options are available, and some menu items can be customized to be vegan. Since 2021, my husband and I have eaten here off and on, and all of our meals have been excellent. The employees promptly and courteously serve us. Here are my ratings for the menu items that we ate: Tortilla chips with queso and guacamole - 4.5 stars - The tortilla chips had a good flavor. The queso tasted extremely cheesy. The guacamole was very freshly made. Beef empanada - 4.5 stars - The fried-dough exterior was perfectly crispy, and the beef filling was savory. I particularly enjoyed the green sauce on the side. Seafood empanada - 3.5 stars - This fried cornmeal pastry was filled with tilapia, shrimp, and vegetables. It was a large size, and the flavors were alright. Pabellon empanada - 4.5 stars - This fried cornmeal pastry contained black beans, white cheese, shredded beef, and sweet plantains. My husband ate it and said that he really liked it. Llanera chicken arepa - 5 stars - This arepa is my husband's favorite go-to. It was a very large size, and it was stuffed with much chicken, lettuce, tomato (although my husband does not like tomato), cheese, and guacamole. My husband commented that the combination of flavors was delicious. On the side was guasacaca, a tangy Venezuelan sauce that is made from avocados, green peppers, garlic, cilantro, lime juice, and mayonnaise. Chicken quesadilla - 4 stars - A flour tortilla was filled with shredded chicken, cheese, onions, and peppers. The ingredients were very fresh, but the quesadilla tasted slightly plain even with the sides of guacamole and sour cream, so I dipped it in queso. Veggie quesadilla - 5 stars - A flour tortilla was stuffed with yellow cheese, green peppers, and onions. On the side were pico de gallo, lettuce, guacamole, and sour cream. I really liked the gooey cheese and the flavors of the vegetables. Soft tacos - 4.5 stars - My husband ate these tacos. One was filled with chicken, and the other was filled with pork. He seemed to enjoy them. Plantains - 5 stars - These fried plantains tasted very sweet, and they were topped with some cheese. The serving size was generous. Tres leches cake - 5 stars - A large slice of cake was soaked in three milks and topped with whipped cream and cinnamon. I really enjoyed the taste of the sweet cake and the spicy cinnamon.

The gentleman at the counter offered some suggestions as we looked at the menu. He even let us sample some of the fresh juices! The restaurant is bright and welcoming with plenty of windows and seating. The special churro station off to the right instantly got my mouth watering. I had to try them! The arepas looked and smelled so good we couldn't wait to dig in, so we ate in the car. The arepa was crispy but fluffy. It was packed with fillings and flavor. Even after eating we could still taste the flavors which only made us want more!! The churros were also delicious. We can't wait to return and try more!

I went here today for brunch with my friend and we had the vegetarian empanadas. Wow. I think they were the most delicious ones I have ever had. That's saying a lot cuz I'm Latina. The dough was the perfect texture and you could taste the freshness. And the filler ingredients were a delicious balance of flavors. For lunch I had the Ensalada nicoise. I'm very picky about my tuna - I only buy tuna from Basque Country in Spain. The salad was absolute perfection. The tuna was incredible. Each ingredient was fresh and absolutely wonderful. The salad was a perfect voice for lunch. The service was wonderful. The space was beautiful. Can't wait to return.

I liked the place. The only food similar to Argentina was the empanadas, but were really small for a $12.00 price point. The flan was really disappointing, they don't even put dulce de leche or cream on it, it tasted t like one bought at a supermarket, so dull and again $12.00 ?? The Milanese de pollo was really good but not close to Argentinian style, no fries no fried eggs included. My issue is that they use the Argentinian style label as a marketing tool and they are not even close. The price was ridiculously high for the experience.

When I first contacted him he replied almost immediately and set up a time to talk with me about our preferences, dietary restrictions and overall food vibes. He sent me a menu within a day and welcomed feedback. Tonight we sat at the bar where we were able to see into the open kitchen and Chef Anthony walked us through every dish (both ours and those of other diners). Everything was delicious and with the exception of the cannoli shell, made from scratch, in house. Portions were huge for an almost 8 course meal and the pacing was great. The other staff were wonderful and beyond the flavorful food, the pricing is very reasonable. Do yourself a favor and make a reservation. He also recently lost his sous chef due to him being in a really unfortunate accident. So if anyone knows someone looking for work... he's hiring.

I'll post a photo of the menu, but here are some of my thoughts: Turkey - so delicious Mashed potatoes - perfection Stuffing - I loved it but the kids didn't. Honestly they probably would have preferred Stove Top though. Green beans - very tasty but not great as a leftover Cranberry chutney - ok, I love the canned stuff but this was truly a hit. Rolls and butter - literally such delicious butter! Apple pies - they were more like empanadas. I was expecting mini round pies. The crust was amazing but the apples were a bit tart. The pickup was easy and seamless. Everything was packed well. Thank you! We can't wait to come in to eat soon.
