This place just came up as recommended wen I was searching for a repair facility. Fortunately for…read moreme, unfortunately for my kid, I knew all about these wanna-be mechanics from a few years back. Long story short - their head mechanic didn't know how to check oil properly on her Nissan crossover? (name escapes me) Three times in the shop and they tell her the oil is over full. I go in, act dumb and ask if they could show me how to check the oil since I got blamed for it anyway "your dad is over filling it" Stooge pulls dip stick and proclaims "see overfill again by twice" Me - "flip that dip stick over" Dude had no words because the other side had NOTHING on it because they drained 5 quarts the day before because "it was overfilled" I promptly asked the gentleman "if you toss a stick in a bucket of oil, is it possible to only get oil on one side of said stick?" Note: these cars/engines have an oil drain back hole directly above the dip stick which covers it with oil several inches up the stick, on one side. Even a moron knows to wipe the stick and reinstall to check and look at both sides. A not-so-certified village idiot should know these cars are best checked after they have sat awhile, regardless this poor village idiot was happy to run out 5 minutes after we arrived and check it without ever having a towel in mind. Way to go imbecile. Needless to say, it never left the place and the motor was hammering because they told her to run it and I want putting oil in it again for them to blame me for overfilling. A few days later we stopped in and find in an attempt to get the warranty co to pay for a motor, they blew it up. The one lucky actually told us what they were doing. Obviously totally oblivious to the fact he was saying they were trying to commit insurance fraud. Good luck if you go here or if, like my kid, AutoMax sends you here because their shop is backed up. These geniuses will fix your vehicle right up like Dewey, Cheatum & Howe, attorneys at law would fix you up on legal issues. Well, that statement isn't fair. The 3 stooges deserve more credit than that when it comes to being lawyers.

In CA I was a commercial vehicle inspector with the CHP. I know vehicle inspection and preventative maintenance from top to bottom! My wife told me of her past experience with repair shops. 2 State Inspections ago, she was told she needed brakes and tires! I said no, we will take it to M&S. It, to this day, still does not need either! Mac and Dave are very friendly and will not sell you what you do not need! I've been going there for over 6 years! I highly recommend M&S for all of your service needs! You'll be glad you found them as I did! Terry D Spahr Retired from LAPD and CHP! Hershey.

I visited the area from a different state during the July 4th weekend and even being lightly staffed, took my car. Heard my concerns and not only identified the issue but addressed it! I was fortunate to have found this shop with positive reviews and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this shop for your auto mechanical needs. They could have taken advantage of a visitor but did not. Instead, they helped me with empathy and integrity. I can only imagine how they help support their community and "everyday" customers. What they charged me was also very respectful and value was worth it all. They saved me and my family during a holiday weekend. I can't say any more positive feedback for this shop. Their inside location was also very spacious and accommodating. Thank you again to Matt & Joel and kudos to the shop owner for the culture development.

What we were expecting to hear was that the transmission was done, but after careful review it was actually a connecting piece that rusted out. Within 2 business days her car was fixed and back on the road. Our other daughters car kept throwing the service engine soon light. Calvin completed his research and quickly determined the root cause. The fix was completed the next business day and the car runs beautifully. I have have had numerous positive experiences with this family and wish only the best for them as they enter a new chapter in their lives. I know that people can double pricing, but i really wasnt expecting those high prices. the labor and balance of services sounded fair. but the pricing mark up really rubbed me the wrong way. the big kicker was i took the car in because it wasnt starting all the time. i had some work done on it including a fuel pressure something or nother, vaccum hose and a sensor. they test drove the car, everything, ran well. happy camper. two weeks later my car didnt want to start. i asked the mechanic if they can look at it again (for no charge) to see if it was related to the work they did (and obviously i knew this could be a new problem, because i have an older car). the mechanic brought up my paper work and said that they had done x, y and z on the car, didnt mention the fuel pressure. and said that what was happening to my car was that it wasnt getting fuel or didnt have a spark. but they did not offer to take it in and look at it, saying that it would've been a different problem. when i mentioned the fuel pressure thing, they said 'oh, well we did those things not because they were causing the car to stall (originally) but because they were the only things that stood out as need of major repair.' I was disappointed because i wasnt asking them to fix the possibly new issue, but i felt like they were being shady. and then i asked (to gage the situation) what it would cost to get my car's oil changed. they said (paper work in front of them) that depending on my car's filter it could be $50. i got my oil changed a more local mechanic's for $30. i guess i couldnt help but feel that... they werent being upfront and honest with me. when i told my friend that recommended them, she said that they should've at least looked at the car again. that would be the professional thing to do. having this single experience with them, i would not go back again nor would i recommend the place. I would like to have more experiences to judge them on, but i dont want to risk spending more money or having more related issues with my car. :oP
