Yesterday, I had my first visit to Emmetts Studio for an appointment with Naieem Abdool. Both Emmetts and Naieem carefully evaluated my hair's nature characteristics, specifically the nature and waves. They suggested a style of cut that would expose my hair the best way. I was thoroughly impressed by their analysis and expertise. And confidence. Naieem began working on my hair, and I could tell he was not only masterful, but genuinely enjoyed his craft. It was like watching a painter working on his own portrait on a canvas. He took his time making sure every cut is perfect. His style was unique, like it was patented. After washing and drying my hair at home, my longtime girlfriend remarked that this was the best haircut I've had since we first met some four years ago. I've been cutting my own hair for over 10 years now (Military made cutting my hair easy with a basic buzz cut). I have been out of the Army for almost 2 years now and my hair was getting out of control, so when I had a job interview coming up I decided to let the professionals handle it. I went to Emmetts Studio because I was fortunate to have met both Emmett and Naieem at a local event and they were incredibly friendly and passionate about what they do. I went in to make an appointment and was lucky to have gotten in so quickly because they have a lot of clients. I explained my situation and how i wasn't sure what to do with my hair when Emmett smiled and told me not to worry and to take a seat. I felt comfortable the entire time while laughing at the positivity and good humor everyone displays with eachother and other guests. Everyone seemed to know everybody as it feels like a family atmosphere. When we were finished I was amazed and impressed since I didn't know my hair could look so good! I felt like a billion bucks! Not every day you find amazing talent, kindness and professionalism all combined! I have been getting my hair colored for over 20 years and this was by far the best experience of all... My sister has been getting her hair done there for a while and I had noticed a wonderful change in her hair. So I decided to try it and I am so glad I did. By far, the best experience you can have at a salon! The atmosphere is bright, yet calming in this chic space. Emmett and Naieem are amazing at what they do, and the care and genuine warmth they show their customers is rare. I have visited many salons over the years and have yet to find anyone who takes the kind of time Emmett does to cut and style my hair. He always strives for perfection! They also carry their own line of great hair products, but you never leave feeling pressured to buy anything. The products speak for themselves and are very reasonably priced. I had my first visit to Emmets a week ago . I am here from out -of-state for my father, who is not from this area either, but is very ill. Douglas cut and styled my hair and he was fantastic. He was so friendly, professional, cheerful, and a gifted artist! I thought the studio had a great atmosphere; it was such a nice size and offered more personalized attention than most salons provide. Further, it had a lovely design...with a bright, but restful atmosphere. I really cannot recommend Emmets and stylist Douglas, more highly! NY state has nothing on him/ this studio . To start off, this salon is exquisite. The layout and decor is very inviting and pleasing. The stylists themselves are the best part though! Everybody is very inviting and sweet. I know it's not about the connections made while getting your hair done, but it is important to be comfortable and to feel at home. Being a first time visitor to Emmett's, I LOVED it. The best salon I've been into by far. Aside from the services, the jewelry for sale is elegant and fairly priced as well.
