Please don't do away w/these...ever...it makes the experience just a little bit more wonderful and set Aveda salons apart! I'm stoked to see that (at least for a limited time) they are offering 50% off blowouts mid-week and mid-day. I'll be in soon to take advantage of this! Parking can be wonky, and is available either on the street (pay at the meters) or behind the salon if you're lucky. Don't bet on being lucky, and give yourself an extra 2-3 minutes on your way there to figure it out.

Its very frustrating..OH and then getting your heartbroken when you find THE ONE and she decides to quit cutting hair and go back to school... noooo, don't improve your life...I need a haircut...come baaack!! I digress...I knew I wanted to go to an Aveda salons try their products, my hair has been through the ringer with the crap products I put in it...and a place close by my house with later hours...hello Bambu. I was greeted by my stylist, Celisa, and shown where the bathroom was to wash my hands (this is definitely going to be the new norm). I sat down and we discussed what I want to do with my hair now (pre wedding) and what my future goals are (short, blue hair). I explained my frustration with massive hair loss lately. I appreciate that she didn't push me to buy Aveda products, but told me to research her product suggestion and gave me some tips that I could do (e.g, massage scalp, rise with cool water to close cuticles). We decided on not doing a full haircut because I want my hair long for my wedding and doing a much needed hair conditioning treatment. I totally recommend doing a treatment..nice little scalp massage and hot towel for 10 or so minutes (I was so relaxed I kind of snoozed). I loved my experience here at Bambu and I hope that Celisa will be my hairstylist forever (or at least till I move T.T). I can't wait to come back in 6 weeks! Odds and ends: Parking directly in the back or meter on the street. Masks are required and all staff are wearing them. They have hand sanitizer and sanitize the washing station immediately after each customer. They seem to space customers out, so we were not right next to each other. Celisa had another customer after me and I noticed she put her at another station since the chair I wasn't at wasn't sanitized yet. You guys are awesome!

Not that like I had low expectations or anything- but damn I had never felt so pretty! Maddie and Kendra are incredible and energetic at what they do! We had airbrush foundation so if you are scared of sweating away to makeup- don't be, because it's going to stay the entire day. I didn't have any preference of what my makeup looked like because I don't really ever wear makeup to begin with. I felt so gorgeous the rest of the day and couldn't thank Kendra more! Maddie was also a bridesmaid in this wedding, so pretty impressive that she got us all dolled up before doing her own makeup herself! I believe they also did the mother of the bride and mother of the groom! If you're looking for a great duo and want make up artists that are chill, energetic at the same time, incredible make up artists and fun to be around- book them!

The salon is beautiful inside and for nails you are upstairs in a cute area that has 2 pedi chairs and a nail station. The pedi stations are individual tubs so if you are someone like me who worried about sanitation these are ideal! Katie took her time getting my nails ready for gel which is key for a lasting gel mani. She also worked with me on what I wanted and let me try on a couple gel colors so I could decide what I wanted. I love my nails and I cannot wait to go back for another nail art mani!

I had called on Tuesday and was easily able to set up an appt for that Saturday. They texted me day of seeing if I could come in 30 min earlier for my appt and thankfully my scheduled allowed. I was happy to have snagged the last parking space in that lot, because then otherwise I would have had to pay for my parking. Overall my hair looked much better than I could have made it look and I appreciate all the product they had to put in my hair so it wouldn't get crazy!
