I've been a patient here for almost a year now (just had my 2nd 6-month check-up a few days ago). While as a patient here, I've had a filling done on my first ever cavity and it was very comfortable! Currently, in my dental journey, I have adult braces placed 4 weeks ago by my orthodontist and just had my 2 wisdom teeth removed yesterday by my oral surgeon. It all started with a referral to my oral surgeon and then a referral to my orthodontist! My dental team all communicate with Dr. Gil and they're all fantastic! The receptionist Karen always greets me by name and she sends me a personal email reminder because she remembered I'm better with email than phone calls. She's also super duper sweet. My RDH Melissa always gives me cool shades to wear and is great with my teeth. She's really knowledgeable too and answers all my questions like, "whats the difference between stannous fluoride and sodium fluoride?" or "should I use a whitening toothpaste with my braces?" She's fantastic. Dr. Gil is always a joy to talk to! He is always careful and thorough in his examination. He's quite the dental nerd haha, I always learn something new from him. I find this unacceptable, I feel I should have the right to decline additional work. they refused to just do the cleaning that I was entitled to. I would definetly not recommend a business that I feel black mails you into treatment you decide not to do for whatever reason. They are your teeth.

I had it fixed tonight, which was my first ever filling, and I had a very positive experience! The dentist was very friendly and calmed my nerves. They numbed me with a minty cotton swab and I didn't even feel the Novocain shot. They made sure I was fully numb before beginning the procedure. After that, the cavity filling process was fast and I didn't feel a thing. No discomfort and definitely no pain. Even though I had made an appointment a week in advance, a day before my scheduled appointment, I…read morereceived a phone call stating that my appointment had been moved back by 2 hours. When I finally went for a consultation for an extraction, the waiting room was so packed, I was lucky to find a place to sit. I spent around 45 min. in the waiting room before I was finally taken for x rays. Then I was left to wait for a dentist in the exam room for over 1 1/2 hours! I finally had to get the attention of someone walking down the hall to ask if I had been forgotten. I was told the dentist would be right with me. I spent a total of 3 hours there. Very unprofessional. The day of the extraction, I discovered that there was no place to put my coat and purse, yet they have signs everywhere stating personal belongings are not allowed to be brought in the room where the extraction takes place and they are not responsible for stolen items! Just before the dentist proceeded with the extraction, i was told that my insurance didn't cover a bone graft (I had told them ahead of time I did not want this) and my insurance also didn't cover anesthesia. I asked the cost of the anesthesia and was shocked to be informed it would be around $250! When I told them i couldn't afford that, I'm a senior on a fixed income, the dentist quoted a reduced (yet still expensive) fee and left for a few minutes. One of the assistants told me they would take cash now. When I informed them I didn't' carry that kind of cash with me, they said they would accept plastic. I told them I wasn't prepared to pay and they said they'd bill me. While the extraction wasn't as painful as expected, the dentist didn't even bother to speak to me upon leaving. I was presented with instructions and 4 prescriptions. I didn't fill one prescription as I felt it was not necessary. Finally the dentist that performed the extraction was not the same dentist that did the consultation. There's no way i'll ever retutn here again for any dental work.
