Food is great. Service is great. We've never had a bad experience here. Our favorite has always been the quesadillas and queso with ground beef.

We got our drinks and noticed a hair in my husbands water cup and sent it back and went on with our breakfast. Through out our meal we noticed 5 more random hairs on our table and started looking around skeeved out and saw we were surrounded by dust , dirt and hair all over our booth. The waitress didn't seem fazed she said she would let the manager know. Manager never even came over to apologize or ask if we wanted to be moved. No discount for all the un edible food we sent back with hair or dust on it (drinks, fruit and French toast ) We won't be back.

Chile relleno with grilled shrimp ! It's not on the menu yet they made it for me ! Thank you !

Delicious food ! Although the shrimp Chile relleno is not in the menu they made it for me ! The charros beans and rice are very well made ! I also enjoyed a melon margarita! The servers are ready and the place is decorated with tequila ceramic everywhere.

Vibe- This is a nice Mexican restaurant in Pearland! There's an area for outdoor seating and PLENTY of seating inside. It's very colorful inside :) Customer service- Great! Food/drinks- I got a peach margarita on the rocks to drink and I had some guacamole (chips are set out once you sit down) and tostadas without the cheese and sour cream. Parking- There's plenty of spots.

Restaurant itself is cute. Service was ok. Now let's get to the food and drinks. We both ordered the original margarita for drinks to start. It literally just tasted like mixer. No alcohol. We ordered the Emma's Margarita the second go around and it was better. It came with 2 floaters each but it's like that's all the alcohol that was in it. Makes me think nothing was even put in the original ones. Let's talk food. I ordered the burrito with ground beef. It was alright. Nothing bad to really say about it. Better than some places but worse than others. My boyfriend ordered the fantastico plate combo. It was weird. It came with one cheese chile relleno, one chicken fajita taco al carbon, and one chicken fajita enchilada al carbon. What was weird was one of those was just plain chicken in a loose flour tortilla. Nothing on top. And nothing else inside. It was so dry. I gave him some of my cheese dip to go on top of it. We have really been trying to support smaller restaurants instead of the chains like Lupe, but this is one we will not be back to.

Hands down, BEST Mexican restaurant that I've been to in Pearland. The atmosphere is awesome, the food is great, and the customer service is 2nd to none. I can't forget to mention my server, Valerie. She was the absolute best; this place is definitely lucky to have her. I highly recommend.

First time eating at this restaurant in the 15 years I've lived here and I've always been curious about it, especially with all they've done to the place. Safe to say it didn't disappoint :) The inside was much nicer than I expected. Casual, clean, and a bit quirky (all things I appreciate). The service was great and friendly. And most of all, our food came out quickly (we had just barely gotten through our basket of chips) and it tasted great. Glad to support this local spot and I'll definitely be back for more.

Came for happy hour. Drinks are okay, about $2-3 cheaper than regular. Food was good had the combo for 2. Service was okay, have had better

Full disclosure: If I absolutely loved texmex, this would be a 5 star review. But I don't and tex-mex actually falls at the bottom of my fav cuisine list. So why did I order all this? Well I really had a hankering for some tres leches. When I saw they had PECAN tres leches it was GAME ON!!! Also ubereats had a $10 off if you spend $30 or more deal so i said wth...why not. As usual, the food was generally a bit bland for my liking. The beans needed a generous amount of my own seasonings (Adobo all purpose, garlic AND onion powder, red pepper, and a dash of chicken boullion). The Carne guisada was VERY VERY VERY GOOD. spicy and flavorful. Wish they went slight heavier on the beef though. Lol. Finally the tres leches. Very delicious and worth every bite. For some reason it felt room temp. I guess it's because it was kept wrapped with the rest of the warm foods. But delicious nontheless. One thing about tex mex food is they don't hold back on VOLUME. Definitely one of the most budget friendly type cuisines out there. I could see why the typical family would opt for this. My $40 bag of food weighed what $160 worth of Japanese food would have weigehd. Final grade: solid B+ My new go-to if I ever get the craving for tex-mex...almost never. Lol

    Chicken and spinach quesadillas

I got the enchiladas barbacoa is was superb the Spanish rice and refried beans were scrumptious. My wife got spinach and chicken quesadillas. We both had iced tea. Queso was warm and creamy with warm tortilla chips . Great appetizer. We had our meal in 12 minutes tops hot and fresh. Our waitress was so very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is amazing with beautiful mural art, and soothing music. My wife suggested that we eat there I've driven by the restaurant for years . I should have stopped sooner. We really enjoyed our selves. We'll be back.

This was good, but not great. Not bashing at all, it was just very pricey for what you get. The food came out quickly and was good. The place itself is quite spacious, located in older Pearland. The staff was very attentive. Is driven by it a few times, but had never gone in.

    Menudo and Emma's special
    Jennifer A.

Restaurant was clean and had a nice vibe. Good service. The menudo was ok even after seasoning it up . Definitely not one of the better menudos I've had but nonetheless kinda soothed my menudo craving. I'd like to go back to try their enchiladas or some of their other dishes.

The $45.00 shrimps in the fajita trio.....tiny and overcooked.

The hunger pangs hit and I just happened to be near this place. I've only seen it in passing but haven't really seen much chatter on the local foodie pages on social media or on here. I arrived around the end of breakfast and there wasn't much of a crowd inside. Parking was easy right out front. I was a little confused at the ordering process. Was it counter service or table service? No one really pointed me in the right direction until my waitress Claudia told me to have a seat and she would be helping me. She did an amazing job from start to finish. I was expecting just a taco joint, but they have lots more to offer on their menu. They have gorditas, tostadas, tortas, burritos, quesadillas, burgers, breakfast items, soup and entrees. They also have your usual drinks options along with agua frescas, shakes, juices, margartitas and beers. I was torn between breakfast and lunch so I decided to try both. I went with the dish that has the same name as the restaurant. Tacos Toreados came with 3 tacos with a protein of your choice on a flour tortillas and what makes these different was that they came with grilled onions and mozzarella cheese. I also went with a bacon and egg taco just so I can really judge the place. What I didn't expect was how massive the tacos were going to be. I got mine with pastor and fajitas. It looked more like a tostada with the toppings covering the whole surface of the tortilla. The fajita and pastor was seasoned beautifully and was very tasty. The onions were sauteed just right but I do like raw onions and cilantro on my tacos a little better. The cheese was a nice addition as well. I barely got through two and on the third I just ate the meat. I saved just enough room to try the breakfast taco which was very good. Washed it all down with a Mexican Coke. This place is very close to my house and I will most definitely be back to make my way through their menu.

The tortillas? Greasy enough to leave fingerprints on your soul. Crispy on the outside, sure--but in that "I've been sitting under a heat lamp questioning my life choices" way. One bite and oil drips like it's trying to escape the crime scene. The meat is usually overcooked to the point where chewing feels like a personal challenge. Any natural flavor is gone, replaced with "salt + fry + regret." And don't get me started on the salsa: nuclear-level spicy, not because it's nuanced, but because pain is the only thing left to feel. Tacos toreados aren't about balance, craft, or love. They're about chaos. They're the taco equivalent of yelling "¡ÁMONOS!" and making bad decisions at 2 a.m. Delicious? Sometimes. Refined? Never. They're not reinventing the wheel. They're just making damn good Mexican food the way they've always made it: with consistency, humility, and zero interest in impressing a food critic. Their salsa doesn't come in five variations; it comes in one -- and it's hot enough to remind you you're alive, but not so brutal you won't ask for more. The plates arrive fast, heavy, and exactly as you remember them. Cheese enchiladas drowning in chili gravy that stains your soul in the best way. Even with the huge crowds they get every day of the week, the food remains high-quality, the service stays quick, and the overall dining experiences are consistently satisfying. I think it's admirable that after all these years of coming here since I was a little girl, they've managed to maintain the same level of quality, and if anything, they've only improved. My go-to favorite is the Amazon Wrap with steak. It's always beautifully presented, the steak is perfectly cooked, and the lettuce, tomato, and other toppings keep it light and refreshing instead of heavy. The tortilla strips inside add the perfect crunch to balance what could otherwise be a chewy wrap. I also love drizzling on the complimentary green sauce that comes with the chips or asking for extra Amazon sauce because both pair with the wrap so well. Truly, there is nothing wrong with this dish, and I've successfully put all my friends onto ordering it. While I usually stick to the Amazon Wrap, Gringo's has plenty of other delicious options, including the steak fajitas, the quesadillas, and even a surprisingly good burger. Overall, Gringo's continues to be a comfort spot for my family and me, and it never fails to deliver. If you want reliable Tex-Mex with great service and consistently good food, this is absolutely the place to go.
