I've been wanting to try The Baked Bear for a while, and finally had the chance to last night! I…read moreordered a chocolate chip cookie and a scoop of their old fashioned vanilla ice cream. The cookie itself is thin and smaller than I'd like, but I understand that's probably because they also use them for the ice cookie sandwiches. The chocolate chips in the chocolate chip cookie are sweeter, I'm assuming milk chocolate, but I liked the texture of the cookie. It was what I'd call a "boneless cookie". I normally like soft cookies with a slight crust around the edges, and these didn't have that. But I still liked the cookie! It's soft and chewy, still soft the next day. After buying the cookie, I tried a sample of the old fashioned vanilla ice cream, and I was surprised by how much I liked it. The consistency was smooth and creamy and the vanilla flavor was really good. Normally I don't care for old fashioned vanilla because I prefer vanilla bean, but most places don't offer vanilla bean so I end up settling for French vanilla or old fashioned vanilla instead. This time though, it didn't feel like I was settling. I ended up ordering a small cup of the ice cream and the serving size was pretty generous. They also give you a physical punch card for rewards each visit, and you can enter your phone number at the counter, I'm not sure if you can also earn points through your phone number. It's bright and airy in there, even walking in after 10pm. The two ladies helping us were both very nice, one of them offered to give us a sample of ice cream when she heard us talking about trying it. I'll definitely be back, whether it's for the chocolate chip cookie or the vanilla ice cream!

While in my recent pursuit of finding interesting eateries in NB area, stumbled upon this small beauty of a cookie place. They have quite a variety of cookies and cater a combo of cookies and ice cream sandwiches that are not too costly. The gentleman at the counter was as warm as the cookies he served and we got ourselves a strawberry cheesecake cookie and couple of mixed ice creams. Roadside Parking might be little tight in the evening hours on week days. Also to note this is not a usual 9 AM opening shop. They open only at 3 PM and open until midnight on all days of the week.

The architecture and the decor is stunning and gives an elevated feeling. It's the perfect spot to hang out with friends and catch up, read a book, or study. Theres a small selection of pastries and a vast selection of desserts. We didn't end up getting the desserts, but did get the blueberry cheese danish, and the chili cheese danish. Both were delicious, although I hadn't seen the chili cheese one anywhere else, making it unique. For my coffee I got the honeycomb hive with vanilla foam...and I liked it so much I got it twice. It was absolutely delicious and something I would totally go out of my way for. The honey isn't too overpowering and is balanced amazingly with the vanilla. The only thing to note is that if you are in a rush, then maybe order online or go somewhere else. Despite it not being super crowded, it did take some time for our drinks to come out. Overall I'd recommend! And don't miss the honeycomb hive!

We tried a few pastries, all were good. The brown sugar shaken espresso was made really well with a balanced flavor. The latte cup for dine-in was a special, high quality mug, we appreciated the detail. Overall a good shop, glad there're more options for good coffee in the area.

I was looking for a good baguette in my neighborhood for a while. But as simple as a baguette may seem, making a tasty one is an art. I was running some errands when I suddenly felt pekish. I saw on Yelp that there was an "authentic French bakery" nearby and decided, "Why not?" Originally, I was thinking of getting a quiche, but as I got into the store, I decided to switch to an avocado egg sandwich. I am sure quiche is good, but I was impressed by the sandwich. It came on the plate with very fresh salad greens. Greens there fresh and sauce tangy, just what one needs to cut through the richness of avocado and egg. I think I had an entire Avacado cut on it. The avocado itself was just right. But the star of the show, for me, was a baguette! I inhaled the entire dish and asked if they sell baguettes on their own, which they do. The bakery associate told me they just ran out, but they are baking new ones now. If I wait 10-15 minutes, I will get a freshly baked one. I could not believe my lack. They came as promises and they were great, just smell alone was to die for There are so many other things I want to try, so I'll definitely be back. Thank you guys, you all made my day!
