I agreed and made sure to be there as close to opening as possible. I arrived at 7:07 AM before heading to work, hoping to be one of the first customers. Unfortunately, the bakery was still closed. I waited another 15 minutes, but no one opened the doors. At that point, I had to leave so I wouldn't be late for work. It was very disappointing, especially since I came based on their recommendation. Businesses should honor their posted hours or communicate any delays, as customers plan their schedules around them. I understand unexpected situations can happen, but this experience was frustrating and left me having to go to another Bakery for the cake.

Before leaving, I checked my receipt and noticed I had been charged for 3 quantities of each instead. The server knew I ordered only 2 quantities of each, so I do not understand why 3 quantities were entered. When I brought it to their attention, they did not change the charge back to my original order. Instead, they added more hopia so the number of pieces matched the 3 quantities I had already been charged for--12 Hopia Baboy and 12 Hopia Mongo, or 24 pieces total. I also saw a recent Yelp review describing a very similar experience involving the same server. I cannot speak to what happened in that customer's transaction, but seeing a similar complaint involving the same server made me concerned that this may not have been an isolated mistake. I reported my experience to Los Angeles County for review. I strongly recommend checking your receipt and counting your items before leaving. I also encourage customers to read the other Yelp reviews. There are multiple complaints from customers who say they were overcharged while receiving fewer items than expected. This does not appear to be just one or two isolated reviews, which is why I became more concerned about my own experience.
