Don't ever buy Turon here.Poorly made and taste nasty. The banana was blackened already and taste old. The brown sugar coating was minimal, you couldn't taste how the real Turon is.Save your time and money and just go somewhere else.

My first taste of Spanish Bread was at Valerio's Bakery and loved it! I can never resist stopping in this little shop to pick up a couple packages whenever I'm in the area. At this visit I also picked up a package of Cheese Rolls. All are wonderful with my morning coffee! The taste always brings me back to my first experience. The quality has not changed through the years. It's the only place I'll buy Spanish Bread.

Love this bakery that I just found. I tried Pan de Sal for the first time and expected them to be salty, but they're actually sweet. Ask for the hot Pan de Sal bread! I enjoyed the Karioka sticks. They were chewy and sweet with the crunchy sugar coating outside. The Ube bread was good too. The ladies suggested me to try some different pastries there, but I just couldn't buy too much bread at once. I would love to come back to try all different kinds of pastries they have. It's located at a busy shopping center, and the parking could be a little challenging to find but many cars go and come if you can be a little patient.

Went to purchased 2 bibingka and 2 sticks of karioka at about 6:20 p.m. When I get home within 15, I heated both bibingka and I can see it was sweaty on top and it tastes sour. I heated the 2nd one and it was the same. I called the Valerio's bakery in Panorama City and informed the sales lady who said that the owner was not in. I explained to her what happened and told her that they should not sell the remaining bibingka to other customers. She said that she will inform the baker. I hope this does not happen often.

Cassava Cake. I wish it was softer. Medyo matigas. Sayang.

I didn't like the cassava cake. It was hard. Spanish bread had minimal feeling. We liked the tamales, but quite expensive.

3/$11 and don't know the name, but is goood!!

Had not been here in a while. The service is great like always, I asked about the boiled peanuts and they offered a sample:) The turrón is delicious, never tried it before.

Valerio's has the best ube bread! My kids love them. The nearest location is this one, on Woodman Ave. It is a 2 hour drive from my house, so when I am in the area, I make sure to go. There are hard plastic screens in front of each register. The cashiers are always kind. They now sell dinuguan and pancit.

Small bakery with lots of goodies. A little standoffish staff. Felt awkward being in there.

Chicken empanadas - very dry and dough is hard. Not fresh, maybe baked from 2 days ago. Not going back. $10 minimum for card.

I stopped by Sunday around 1 to pick up some pastries on my way to a friend's house. It's located in a plaza with a small parking lot. First thing you notice when you step in is that they have a lot of cakes on display. There's no seating either, it's strictly a grab and go place. Both times I came, someone was picking up a cake ahead of me, so that's definitely what to get here. I asked the cashier, and she said that you can either call or came in person to place a cake order. You can also come by and pick up one of their ready made cakes. Will keep this place in mind for the future. I picked up a number of pastries and tried some of them at my friend's place. Here's what I tried: Slice of vanilla roll cake ($2) - very moist but not much cream Almond croissant ($3.50) - loved the almond filling Sponge cake ($2.75) - delicious! Almond cookie ($0.35 each) - tastes exactly like the almond cookies I ate growing up Cream puff ($2) - this was the only thing I didn't like. The puff layers on both the top and bottom were dry Next time I need a cake, I know where to get it!

I stop by a couple times a year to pick up some pastries to bring to work for all of us to share with our morning coffee. I also buy all our birthday cakes for the year from them. The service has always been very good, the stuff is kind and friendly, and always open to answering questions about recommendations or pointing out what their favorites are. Which is always a great way to try something new. The location itself is inside of a grocery store, so there isn't much space to sit and relax like you would at a normal café, but I don't think that that takes away from enjoying their delicious pastries.
