The office is very clean and pleasant looking. It's got an open floor plan which I like. It doesn't feel so closed in and allows for those with wheelchairs and walking assistance devices to have easier access. I was thoroughly impressed with Dr. Patovono (resident) and Dr. Esther. They were both very personable, explained things thoroughly, answered our many questions and included the whole group in on the conversation. They didn't just make sure the patient herself was at ease but they did that for all four of us, which I really appreciated. Faye, the medical assistant was very pleasant and has a great, bubbly personality. She also managed to update my daughters med list in a private way so as to uphold her confidentiality, even amongst her family. I was impressed with that as I also work in the medical field and understand how confidentiality with families in the room can be tricky at times. I would be happy to go to this office should I need an orthopedic surgeon. They were excellent!!

The torn meniscus was repaired and has never given me a bit of trouble since. I'm an active golfer and workout several times a week, including walking a couple miles each workout. I have every confidence in them: my surgeon, Dr. Bynum, is extremely skilled and very pleasant to deal with. Having my thumb fused was a life-changer and when I show people my scars, they have to look for them! Now, he has given me back the use of my dominant hand. After 3 weeks, it is already more usable than before. My fingers are amazingly straight! The supporting staff are pleasant and attentive and their occupational therapist, Sue Myers, really knows her stuff and is competently guiding my recovery.

I have worked in healthcare for over 30 years and I could not believe the lack of professionalism and complete hostility of the person that answers the phone at this clinic. I was calling to confirm my mother's appointment today and the lady that answered when you hit option 1 downright sounded angry off the jump. She didn't say who she was when she answered and I was confused, so I asked "is this scheduling?" And she said "what do you want ma'am!?". I then asked what her name was and she hung up on me. Literally that was it. I feel bad for the elderly patients that call in hoping to speak to someone with medical compassion. He kept saying you need rods in your back and he wouldn't even consider anything else. When I kept telling him no he flounced out of the room like a child. Dr. Carrol also was quite perturbed and unhappy with me because I told him the first shot in my back he ordered did not help. He wanted to argue about it. I started seeing Dr. Musante who was excellent! Doctor Musante told me what my MRI said about my having scoliosis and two ruptured discs in my lower back and a pinched nerve. Dr. Carrol didn't think I had a right to know and was too occupied with wanting to cut my back open. I wanted a second opinion and was referred to Dr. Musante who was honest and compassionate with me. I would not recommend Dr. Carrol to anyone. Dr. Musante and Dr. Arcedo are wonderful. They listen and do their best to help you and have a lot of compassion.

I was very stupid to even go to Duke seeing how they poisoned me and 4000 people with elevator fluid in 2004. Not to mention the ones they killed and then covered up. Oh yes we sued them, but they make more money in a daily donation then they paid out to the people whose lives they destroyed or killed. So go there at your own risk maybe they will have a good day and not miss treat you, belittle or berate you.

They did try to call me but due to an unfortunate circumstance my phone number changed the night before. I was extremely happy that they were able to fit me in with the appropriate PA so suddenly after waiting roughly an hour. I got my second opinion and left a satisfied patient. Although this would not be my first choice, the location is extremely convenient which made Duke Orthopaedics my choice for this visit.
