Very poor customer service. Stopped in for a receiver repair, the woman at the counter was rude, dismissive. When I came in, she was on the phone with a customer, mid-sentence, hung up, called to someone in back & started discussing the customer by name in veery unflattering terms. When she finally got back to me, she actually said "what is it you would like" in a very 'impatient' tone. I just said, "thank you but I think I'm in the wrong place" and I left. read more

Horrible experience. Couldn't fix tv but refused to admit that. Instead, kept tv for several months. Kept giving lame excuses as to why it was taking so long to fix. They purposely kept stalling. I finally insisted they return the tv Immediately even if it didn't work. I had to end up buying a new tv. Stay away from this place. They are crooks. Emergency TV the guy with the eyes and stick out like Arnold Schwarzenegger in the movie total recall terrible service , TV was worth $4000 because of its age. I asked to find out what is wrong with it. He tells me he's gonna charge me $1000 to fix it. I paid him $40 to examine it he told me to do, I told him I'm not I willing let you fix it because of the price is not right, I will not be bothered with it so when h check the TV out, he told me $1000. I told him I cannot at this time afford to get it done for $1000 so I said I will have my friend fix it. and pick the TV up. He broke the screen with a hammer or somewhat type of instrument. He broke the screen because he was angry because I decided not to let him fix it. I paid him $40 to examine it but then he gets mad because I decided not to fix it And give him business for $1000 rip off so he bust my screen with a hammer two strokes on the screen he is one evil individual customer service is extremely bad , even the lady that works there that is his sister is a liar to back him up. They have horrible service. I would never go there again and I would never refer no one there. was a good service back in the 70s and 80s but now this generation. Cannot trust them. Step into Emergency TV and step back in time. Apparently they still smoke in their building as you walk in and it just REEKS. Like Grandpa's old place. I left and still smelled like it. Very old-fashioned. My flat screen stopped turning on one day and due to the great yelp reviews, I brought it in here. There is a $25 deposit fee you pay at drop off, and then they call you with the diagnosis and price to fix. I dropped off on a Friday. They said that usually they diagnose in 2-3 business days, and as they had short hours on Saturday and close on Sunday that I'd hear from them Tuesday. Fine by me. Well a week passed and I still hadn't heard anything, so I called. They said he was looking at it now and would call within the hour. I waited three hours and called back - any news? He's right here, just a second. He said that he was going to look at it now and call me back. Well he did, and he said that it needed a new "mother board", that it would be $210. Wow. A LOT more than I was expecting. I approved the expense and he said it'd be a week to fix it. It took at least two weeks. When it was finally done I was charge $222, not a huge difference but it was A LOT of money, and it wasn't what they quoted. They have really nice guys that will help load and unload your items from your car - and they seem to have some good stuff for sale for cheap up in the front of their store. I guess I would return in an emergency, but given time to research I would probably go somewhere else. read more

These guys rock!! I bough a vintage stereo cabinet unit made in 1959 at the ReStore in Tosa and was working but I was not able to use the tuner and the record player and table deck weren't operating as they should. It's an old unit so I was hopeful to just get it working again. They went above and beyond. Came out and looked at it, took it to the shop! They had it for about 6 weeks but got it working like a charm. I listen to it almost every day now! Value for the money for the work too! They are a high recommend for me!! read more

A big shout out to Emergency TV Services. Our 12 year old Samsung flat screen died and I was looking at 2 grand for a new TV. Got curious and called Emergency TV services at their Burleigh location (they've been in business for 70 years). They told me that contrary to "modern" popular belief flat screens can be repaired and generally at a cost far lower than buying a new TV. So I gave them a try. They picked it up, took it to the shop, called me within a day with the cost to repair (ridiculously low), fixed it and had it back the next day. No problem watching the Super Bowl this year. In an age where consumers have been trained to desire the next big thing, to need latest and greatest, to replace and not repair, I dared to be the change I wanted to see in the world. I love my TV - sure, she's old, she's thick, it takes a lot of energy to get her moving, but when she's turned on, she is a sight to behold. We go way back, and I couldn't just break it off for something younger and thinner, it just wouldn't be fair. Nostalgic of my childhood with their catchy jingle, and knowing next to nothing about TV repair, I called Emergency TV Service. Their shop may not look like much, but these guys know what they're doing. I would describe the atmosphere inside as unpretentious and more or less untouched in the past 50 years. My cassette player (don't laugh) wasn't working so I brought it in for repair. I'm too (either busy or lazy) to digitize a bunch of old bootleg cassettes and since Atomic Records closed, I'm stuck with tape. They charged me a fee (~$20) to take a look at it and called me about a week later to let me know they were ordering parts. I had my tape player playing an old R.E.M. Fantastic service. Got my plasma TV repaired there and it wasn't terribly expensive. Something similar went wrong about one month later and Emergency TV Service replaced a fairly big part totally free of charge.
