What you will get is honest and reliable service; quality work. I have taken every car I have owned to Autotec, since my first beater in 1997(at first having had 1 or 2 other estimates done beforehand). In all those years, I have never been unhappy with the service.

Larry, the owner, always gives me an honest assessment of works that's a good idea and also the work that he feels may not be necessary. I never feel pushed into preventative work that may not be worth while. As an example, I brought my car in and asked to have some preventative maintenance work done and the tires changed. I ended up not going ahead with the maintenance work as he suggested it wouldn't be necessary right now. He lost two hours of labour costs but continues to build trust and respect with great service and honest advice. Like the previous reviewer mentioned, it's a no frills operation but luckily I don't look to my mechanic for good coffee and a place to watch TV.

I have been a client of Roy Rump & Sons for about 4 years now and each time I've needed them, I was made to feel welcome by both the front-desk folks and the mechanical technicians. They explain all repairs clearly and with patience. They always provide as accurate an estimate as possible and, if they diagnose an issue and discover it was a simpler fix than they thought at the time, they gladly tell me that it will not cost as much to fix and that kind of honesty is why I will never go anywhere else. They always send me reports with digital photos and videos of the work along with their recommendations to keep my SUV in good working condition. There in only one little drawback... because they are so popular for all the things I mentioned, they are very busy a lot of the time and it can affect how soon they can book an appointment with you but, it is always worth the wait. I can't say enough great things about this Garage. Don't waste your time or your money elsewhere. Cynthia F.

I also asked if they have an inspection service, which they do, so had them perform that. I recieved a very clear prioritized inspection report on my 6 year old car, which I can execute on. Car repairs are not cheap, in general. I think I was charged fairly and got great service. I'm also gonna note here, this business was recommended on my neighbourhood FB page. I notice 2 horrible reviews her on yelp. On google they have a near perfect score. In my opinion, the two reviews don't hold water. One is by someone listed as being in California, with only one review. The other is local, also one review. I'm guessing they are fake accounts. Do with that what you will.

Car was bottoming out on the road, I did not feel safe. I could hear parts banging around under the car as we drove over bumps. 6 hours after I dropped my car off, they call me telling me I need $2,000.00 of work done and there's no way it passed a safety 36 days ago. One of the parts he said it needed was just replaced 2 months ago. (passenger lower control arm and bushing). Weird, HYUNDAI did a safety on it and everything was fine. He quoted me on the phone 800$ for the work but when I show up, the quote on paper is $2,000.00. I was upset of course and he asked me to never come back to his establishment again. They tried to take advantage of me because I am a young female.

When I picked my car up they failed to reinstall my skid plate. After the terrible service and my requests to speak to the owner was declined by staff, I finally got ahold of him myself. I explained to him when the car was back in my possession it had a white substance in the interior and when asking the owner what it is his reply was "Hard to say. " He then proceeded to suggest it was absorball which is a harmful chemical and when I got even more upset at this, he recanted his statement claiming it was "dust" ... he then said they were fair to me and even if a dollar figure wasn't agreed upon it's "implied". He noticed I posted a poor review, and he told me he shouldn't even be looking into my claims because I had already given a poor review and it was a 'waste of his time.' He began to call me a Karen and told me he would post the video of me getting upset (rightfully so) in the shop, to his thousands of followers so that they could see how much of a "Karen I am" .. in my opinion, the staff and the owner are very un professional.
