I have been a client of Roy Rump & Sons for about 4 years now and each time I've needed them, I was made to feel welcome by both the front-desk folks and the mechanical technicians. They explain all repairs clearly and with patience. They always provide as accurate an estimate as possible and, if they diagnose an issue and discover it was a simpler fix than they thought at the time, they gladly tell me that it will not cost as much to fix and that kind of honesty is why I will never go anywhere else. They always send me reports with digital photos and videos of the work along with their recommendations to keep my SUV in good working condition. There in only one little drawback... because they are so popular for all the things I mentioned, they are very busy a lot of the time and it can affect how soon they can book an appointment with you but, it is always worth the wait. I also asked if they have an inspection service, which they do, so had them perform that. I recieved a very clear prioritized inspection report on my 6 year old car, which I can execute on. Car repairs are not cheap, in general. I think I was charged fairly and got great service. I'm also gonna note here, this business was recommended on my neighbourhood FB page. I notice 2 horrible reviews her on yelp. On google they have a near perfect score. In my opinion, the two reviews don't hold water. One is by someone listed as being in California, with only one review. The other is local, also one review. I'm guessing they are fake accounts. Do with that what you will.

Silverstar Automotive Solutions took my car did an inspection found out that I had some other issues that needed repaired fixed my problem and the most urgent repairs all within my budget. They found out I had an oil leak I thought my car was just burning oil. They showed me pictures of how bad my engine looked inside. They also performed a Walnut blasting which cleaned out the engine. My car runs a lot smoother. No hesitation, no rough idle and I can start the car right away. I lot of garages don't work on used European vehicles. Silverstar automotive solutions does.

Came for some A/C work as they have the professional equipment to extract and fill refrigerant. My…read morefans and compressor seemed to be working fine so there must have been a tiny leak and over the years the refrigerant got out and the system stopped cooling. FYI, never try to top-up A/C with those cheap cans of R12 you find in Canadian Tire unless you already have pure R12 in your system! You will regret it and if you contaminate your A/C system, even mechanics will refuse to service you as they will not extract contaminated R-134a (hazardous waste). Just save yourself the headache and go to a professional for A/C work but do your homework! I asked to get a simple recharge and injection of dye so if it leaked again, the leak can be found and patched next time. They evacuated everything, removing any moisture as well (due to vacuum) and added fresh refrigerant (my A/C does not smell as damp when switching now too). Overall great service and reasonable prices with knowledgeable and friendly staff, saw them helping other satisfied customers as well. Will recommend.

While I still talking to the owner trying to ask questions about the inspection, I noticed his coworker is trying to lift my vehicle, I repeatedly asked him to stop lifting before I finished asking questions. He continued lifted the vehicle on the hoist. Then the owner says the brakes are not passing safety before he even checked the actual brake themselves. I asked what is the thickness of the brake is remaining made it failed. He did not answer. I asked again, he did not answer. I insisted multiple times, then he said it is not the brake. it is the rotors has rust on the side. Then he offered me a package to replaced all the brake pads and rotors. And told me it is only one hour left for getting the parts. I asked what is the quality and warranty of the parts he offered. He said it is good quality, initially stated it is lifetime warranty, I asked him to clarify what condition of the warranty, he then changed and said only 2 years of warranty. I asked if I can bring the parts for him to install, he said no. I ask if I can come back again with a new set of brake and rotor is installed to completed the inspection. He tried to dodge the question. At this time, he kept pushing me to order a new brake and rotor from him. I refused. He then said I need to pay him the full inspection cost before release the vehicle. All these happen within 5 minutes of the vehicle got inside the shop. Basically, he is taking my vehicle as a hostage at that moment with the vehicle hoisted. I asked he for a full inspection report. He said he will but provided nothing. I kept asking for a full report for his work, at the end, he wrote a six-words as an inspection, see the pictures. The whole time I was there were being pushed to install a new brake and rotor on the spot without knowing any details of the condition of the brake and rotor. Again, if there's a 0 star, I will give this a shop a 0 star.
