Me wondering how enjoyable a casino cruise can be
    Sandra B.

I loved my excursion with the Princess. A totally fun evening. The only complaint I have, is that as a handicapped individual my ship access was severely limited, as there is no elevator available. I hated being separated from my group for dinner and being unable to play bingo. The staff was wonderful, the food good, and the ship smooth. Definitely bring a jacket. It's chilly. The next time, I may have to hire a helicopter to get me to the higher decks.

Had a great time my get away it great but you guys it called gambling you paid 10$ why the bad reviews great staff you rite they do need new slots but each time I went I won they assist me each time I needed them dont believe the reviews you can win here I see some ppl lost good luck but they will be back I'm sure

    A floating prison

What a nightmare. I counted down every last second until it was time to get off this floating prison. The sea appeared calm but the ship rocked like it was in the midst of a squall. The staff was rude, the boat was dirty, ancient machines, and we didn't dare try the food after smelling the putrid odor wafting throughout the third floor. A group of about 50 people ("People you'd meet in jail for $1000, Alex") stood at the door waiting to get off yet they made us wait 20 minutes to leave once docked. No COVID-19 policies in place other than most staff wearing masks below their noses. I would rate this "cruise" negative 5 stars if possible.

Nice sunset on the top deck

Too cold, terrible service, not enough workers, extra tight machines. Very dirty. Never go again

If I could give it a 0 I would. Don't go. It's free for a reason. Horrible. Catastrophic.

Loved the sauce. * Wings were solid good. * Service was nice, like genuinely nice. *The pickle chips had a perfect crisp to them * decent selection of beers and cocktails What could of been better: * The fries could have been crisp. A little soggy or limp. But they were good. Just had a fun visit and enjoyed the place. Will come back.

Tipsy McSway's is open until 10 PM and the kitchen stops taking orders at 9 PM. After looking over the menu, I decided to try the Brunswick stack sandwich. I had hoped to try the tomato bisque soup as my side, but unfortunately, they only serve chili, not soup, on Mondays. So instead, I ordered the fried potato salad as my side, and it was surprisingly delicious. It comes with small diced potatoes in a warm savory mustard sauce. When I originally asked the bartender what he recommended, he mentioned the Brunswick stack sandwich as well as the smash burgers. While the sandwich was good, I would probably try one of the burgers next time. Nevertheless, I would definitely get the fried potato salad again. The next time I'm in the area, I would definitely consider returning to Tipsy McSway's and I would recommend it to others as well. Cheers

It is a 5 star hotel and has under 50 rooms (43 to be exact). The lobby is gorgeous with dark wooden fixtures, carpets and comfortable couches. We were there in December and the Christmas trees were decorated beautifully. As soon as you arrive at The Lodge, you are welcomed by name and escorted to your room by a butler. I loved the European feel of the Lodge and each room was made to look like a room in a European castle. The artwork reminded me of Belgium and so did the heavy wood. The intent was to look like an English manor, even though it was actually built early in the 20th century. As you enter your room, your have a walk in area with wet bar, Nespresso machine, ironing board that pulls down from the closet and closet area. The bathroom is then also off of the main entryway and has dual sinks, classic metal handles and a pedestol tub. The shower was a huge walk-in shower made of marble and the handles reminded me of something from London in the early 1900's. The toiletries are by Milton Brown. As you then step into your bedoom, the Lodge will cleverly put on the Golf channel during turn-down service at night. Cookies are also part of the nightly service. The bed was very comfortable and I really enjoyed the patio with chairs that overlooked the water. It was all very peaceful and serene. The sitting area in the room was also nice and there was a big desk to work. The ceilings are made of wooden beams and add elevation to the room. I did feel like I was staying in another country and truly loved my stay. Each night around 5pm, a bagpiper marches up the field in front of the patio of the Lodge. You can sit on an Adirondack chair and listen and have an evening cocktail as the sun sets. Dining: There is the Oak Room which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Colt and Alison is the high end steakhouse serving dinner with a view of the golf greens. We had a fantastic meal here and Chef Danny is very talented. We also enjoyed breakfast and lunch in the Oak Room. Another interesting tidbit I learned is that you can take one of the BMW 750 series that is parked in the front of the Lodge and drive it over to the Cloister and other part of the hotel. The goal is to get you to test drive and this has turned out to be very profitable for this BMW dealer. I did not get a chance to make it to the Cloister and would like to go next time. The staff was amazing and the service everywhere was excellent. There is also a little gift pro shop with golf wear, souvenirs and high end sunglasses and apparel for sale. I highly recommend this resort for a quiet getaway and Southern hospitality.

We found out what we have been missing! First, the boat and crew: The sailboat is a catamaran with a living area (Sherry and Gaelen call it the salon), a kitchen, bedrooms, and several bathrooms. The deck has a freshwater shower, lots of seating area, and grill...and the boat is immaculate. We had spent very little time on boats, but this one impressed us! Sherry and Gaelen are the crew, very welcoming and helpful, and particularly patient with children (we had 4 aboard). Second, the trip: We left their dock right next to the USS Yorktown mid-morning for a tour of the Charleston harbor, and finally anchoring just off Morris Island, a small recreational island empty but for a lighthouse. After swimming off the boat and having lunch, Sherry and Gaelen took us over to the beach on the island (by way of their dingy named "Minion"). We spent the afternoon enjoying the beach and the company, finding shells and sharks teeth, and watching the never-ending parade of boats go by. As the day closed, we returned to the dock and disembarked. It truly was a fantastic day, and I would recommend this charter to anyone living in OR visiting Charleston Visited July 2013
