We had a bad experience in August with this outfit. We were excited the staff was able to make a reservation on short notice, the day before. It turned out to be too good to be true. Apparently the guide was not notified the tour was scheduled and he did not show up in the morning. Large family with lots of grandkids were very disappointed. The office was considerate enough to apologize over the phone, but by that time our vacation was finished. read more

Dad and I went out with Mark this morning with one goal: to land a tarpon. It's still a little early (only 2nd tarpon trip Captain Noble has done this summer), but we decided to give it a shot anyway. Mark had a plan and we were running and gunning looking for rolling tarpon from the get go. Wasn't long after we spotted a few that we started to get bit. Jumped 5 or 6 and landed a nice 100# silver king! Had that fish not been so dang stubborn (fought for almost 2 hours), there's no telling how many more hookups we would've had. I've been fishing with Mark since I was a teenager and I'm almost 40 now. As soon as my two sons are big enough, I'll get captain Noble to take them too. He's the best there is! read more

Want some fun while fishing? Then book a charter fishing trip with Captain Mark Noble. Best to make an advance reservation; it could be a problem if the weather isn't great. In exchange, he takes you to the places where fish are biting. Interestingly enough these charters entertain a wide variety of fisherman. One can be experienced and skilled, another can accidentallycatch a fish by the tail instead of the mouth. (True story) The only hard and fast rule is you cannot go ocean fishing with a very motion sick individual. Agree in advance not to take that person or agree to stay closer to shore. Be decisive on that one issue and you'll have a good time. read more

There are other captains, boats and fisherman on St. Simons Island, of course, I have been out with many of them over the years. However, Capt. Mark Noble is by far the best. I wanted to take my 16 year old daughter out, as she has never been on a boat. Capt. Mark explained this may not be a good fishing day. Due to all of the extreme rain we had, the water was very muddy. Oh but he knew a few spots, and it was excellent. The day was beautiful, the water was perfect, and calm, and every cast received a bite or a hook, . We had an awesome "grilled red and speckled trout dinner" that night, and the best part, was my daughter caught the biggest fish. Capt. Mark's love of fishing, all of his life, is what makes him the best Capt. for charter fishing in the Golden Isles. I can't say enough great things, or wait to go back out with him. Capt Mark Noble is the real deal. I just finished a 3 days of hard core TARPON fishing with him and it was fantastic - culminating in a 50 minute fight that ultimately ended with me landing a 120lbs+ tarpon. Fishing trip of a lifetime. I have already booked a return trip next year. read more

Very disappointed.I booked a trip with this charter, there was poor communications I told them I did not want to fish for redfish or sea trout, ( I fish for Reds and Specs at Port Arkansas all the time ) that I wanted to fish for flounder and triple tail. I was informed that I must book the six hour trip to fish for triple tail. the lady that took the reservation said she would text me all the information about the trip. the day before the trip I still had not received a text, so I called back and the lady said she would text me the information, an hour or so later she texted me the information and had the wrong dates on it so I had to call her back and get it corrected. when we reached the dock the day of the fishing trip we were greeted by the captain who said are you ready to go catch redfish and sea trout,sheep head and black drum and I said no we want to fish for flounder and triple tail he looked perplexed and said we would do our best. needless to say after fishing for sea trout and redfish for five hours I said something to him about flounder and triple tail, he said OK we would go fish for triple tail by the time we reach the destination for triple tail we only had enough time to fish for triple tail for about 30 minutes. I spotted the triple tail and pointed it out to the captain he spent the next five minutes trying to catch it himself unsuccessfully then he said it's time to go in and headed back to the dock. needless to say after spending A day fishing, for fish we did not want to fish for, and not catching any keepers, I feel like I was deceived and taken advantage of. I spent good money to be guided on a trip that I wanted to go on, and they took me on a trip they wanted to go on. I am a guide on a fresh water lake in Texas, when customers book a bass fishing trip, I do not take the cat fishing. I will not use this charter service again and I do not recommend them don't waste your time or your money if you have a specific fish you want to target Sun burnt and disappointed. read more

Wife made me go to a wedding with her on St.Simons, thought I would have nothing to do all weekend! Saw Capt. Mark D's sign and called him up one morning hoping he might be able to accommodate on a last minute charter, to my surprise he said come on! Not only was it a last minute trip he was able to provide it was a great fishing trip! Everytime bait hit the water we reeled something in, Shark, Flounder, Speckled Trout to more. Captian Mark knows the waters over there and his rig works great, been using down in Galveston catching fish all day. Highly recommended! read more

We booked a charter through Capt. Mark's Charters. Capt. Terry was our guide. He was very friendly and a great conversationalist - which is important since with fishing there are lags between bites sometimes. He was very knowledgeable about the waters and the local area. His boat was spotless and roomy. We caught about 6 black tipped sharks which put up a pretty good fight for the 2 teenage boys we had with us. We had a great time. read more

I let Mark know that we never tried tarpon fishing and wanted to give it a try, he said no problem and bring your cameras cause its gonna be a blast. Everything was trail and error. Mark would bitch dont do this, do that, reel reel reel, then dont reel so hard you can rip the handle off, this is the big leagues, guide the line with your thumb onto the reel. If he was so big league maybe he would have reels with line guides on them. He did put us on fish and 2 out of 4 of us landed fish. We knew that it was hard to land a tarpon but even if we didnt get one we would learn a little and have a good time. Maybe Mark should tell people he only wants experienced tarpon fishermen and get a deck hand to bitch at. read more
