We tried to book 3 golf carts with Orion, but they only had two.  They misunderstood my email telling them I needed three and delivered only two. I called them immediately upon arrival to tell them to pick them up. They picked up the carts immediately and said they would refund our money. (I offered them 1 day rental for the delivery.) They then reneged on their offer and charged us for the full week!  USE SEASIDE!

One was dirty and the other one was perfect. The dirty cart only had seat belts in the front seat. Without seat belts in the other 2 seats, we couldn't use the cart safetly. We also discovered that the cart without seat belts had non working headlights. I spoke to a local police officer and he said that legally the cart rental company can rent anything they want, even if it's not safe. The responsibility for having safety features is totally on the driver. So, Kustom Karts can rent all the junk they want :), which is clearly exactly what they do! The cart was too dangerous to use so we made the best of it and just used the safe one. I asked the owner to refund some of the money we spent to rent the dangerous cart and she refused. We frequent St. Simon's for family vacations so next time we will rent from someone else. If you rent from Kustom Karts, be aware that they will stress all of the safety rules to you when you reserve the carts, but they clearly don't follow through by renting safe carts across the board. Too many other companys to rent from so we will scratch this one from our list of preferred places to spend our money.

We rented two unusual bikes: 1) Adult bike with a trailing kid bike. 2) Adult bike with a kiddie trailer. Our toddler loved sitting in the trailer, strapped in, saying "Whee" all around town (she's 1). Our 5 year old, who is an avid biker, felt safer attached to mom or me, and we felt better not having her run circles around us and in traffic. We took the tandem onto the beach at low tide and it was surprisingly easy to ride for miles. I hadn't ridden a bike for almost a decade, but we jumped at the opportunity every day and Two Brothers gave us a couple of free days thanks to our rental return date being Thanksgiving.
