We went to Emerald Publishing for wedding invitations. It was a small, quiet shop with a huge variety. The owner Mike was very helpful but fortunately left us alone to pore over the many volumes of samples. There were tons of previous invitations on the walls so we could get more ideas. Picking out the right invitations was way more difficult than I thought but Mike was patient and said they could basically do whatever we needed. They offer many discounts and we spent less money than we expected so that was exciting. If you don't want to spend lots of time in their store looking through all their samples, almost everything is listed on their website, as well. read more

I was very disappointed with my service. I had a similar experience in that I was told my proof would be ready within a week and I did not receive it until I called to inquire when it would be ready. When I did receive the proof, I didn't think it looked like quality work. In fact, it looked like something I could have done myself. I felt that emerald invitations lacked creativity, customer service, and overall ability in making an invitation without being walked through the process step by step. A friend had recommended Emerald Invitations, so I went to visit the store and knew right away they were the right place. They made me feel at such ease and took care of everything so professionally. I used Emerald Invitations for my wedding invitations at the recommendation of a friend. I went into the shop and enjoyed being able to see and feel so many different styles. I chose the style I wanted and was told I would receive a digital print via email within 7-10 days. Fourteen days later, I called and was told that I'd receive something in the next couple of days. Later that same day, I received my print. When I received the digital print, I was very disappointed. I had written out exactly what I wanted on the invitation, response card, and directions card. When I reviewed the cards, there were two spelling errors, the format I requested was not used on the response card, and they used totally different directions than the ones I'd provided. I was pretty upset. When I called, they were very friendly and apologized. I was told that they'd used the directions from the venue's website (which were no good- the reason I'd drove the route and written my own directions). They also changed the response card and fixed the spelling errors. The final product came out okay, but took over a month to get. I really wished I would've stuck with my original plan and went to wedding paper divas for a more prompt, hassle-free experience with great products. read more
