First id like to start by saying that the dish garden is beautiful however service and attitude not nice. I called for a delivery of a dish garden. I gave the address knowing it was less than four miles away from the recipient. I asked for suggestions as I wanted more of a plant than fresh flowers. The woman who answered the phone suggested a dish garden. I asked her how much and she quoted me a price. Shame on me for not asking for the "total" price as I was charged 35% more than the price given over the phone by the owner's sister. When I called back to ask about the charge on my card I spoke to the same woman and she stated that there were charges for delivery, tax and credit card processing fees. I'm not completely surprised now that it has been explained to me but it would have been better to be told the total price when I asked upon initial order. When I explained that I was surprised with the amount I was charged on my card today, she stated that "everyone" knows that there is a delivery charge and credit card processing fees with an attitude. I had went to a few different florists and they far exceeded any amount of money I was willing to spend on my under 100 guest wedding. A friend recommended candy jar and I made an appointment. When I first went in, I was surprised. It isn't a "florist" but it's a cute little store. Don't let that fool you, they are amazing. My flower arrangements were way better than I could of imagined and the price was at least half of the quotes at others for my entire wedding party and the centerpieces. Planning a wedding is a lot of details and it's easy to get stressed. I didn't feel the least bit stressed about my flowers. They didn't even require a deposit to secure my date! Kim did all the flowers for my wedding. We decided to do just the bouquets and boutonnières. They are mid priced but the work is top notch. My bridal bouquet was amazing. I pictured it slightly more loose but Kim had fastened it together with ribbon and pins which upon inspection made more sense. She also did the flowers for my hair which were great. We also did fresh flowers on the cake which were fantastic. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

My wife has used Candy Jar for several years. It was my 14th anniversary and I wanted to do something unique. She just started teaching at a new school. I told Candy Jar that I wanted 2 dozen roses sent - one in morning and one in the afternoon. I wanted the 2nd one to be the a big surprise. This only works if executed perfectly. Well they pulled it off. She got the first around 10am and she loved them. Then I got a call at 2pm saying the office call to tell her that she got another 14 roses. Here's the added touch. Kim included 14 the second time because the card mentioned our 14 years. I had to admit that, as unique as my plan was, I hadn't thought of that. I called Kim to thank her for that personal touch. This is the quality that comes with local ownership. I'd rather reward a small business with pride in their product than a national chain or internet flowers. I made an appointment here for my wedding florist, when I placed my first phone call the woman offered me a date and time that coordinated well with our cake appointment in the area. After offering the date she told me that there was a chance they may be busy in the shop, I assured her that that wasn't an issue and that we really just cared about getting it done. When I called less than a week before the appointment the woman told me that they were unable to have me on that day, how unprofessional! The worst part is that she said she "was going to call me..". Who knows when that was going to happen. Clearly the Candy Jar is doing well enough that they don't need my business! We will be spending our wedding budget elsewhere. read more

I have never written a bad review for anyone before but I recently had my wedding flowers done through the candy jar and I was so disappointed with them - emotions are so heightened with weddings and I was bawling. Kim was super nice and helpful when I was confused about what I wanted on my first visit in. A few weeks later I came back and showed her a very specific picture and told her I wanted it as close to that as humanly possible. I was very specific about the colors and flowers I wanted. The flowers got to the venue before I did and when I got there I panicked because I thought they delivered the wrong ones. Then I realized that technically they had most of the right flowers but not the right colors I know I just sound like a big brat and like I said I've never written a bad review before - but it was my wedding and it was what I was most excited about. I wouldn't recommend the candy jar for your wedding flowers if you have a specific theme and care about the color **I will say that the guys flowers were awesome and the center pieces were beautiful and that everybody at the shop was always very nice. read more

She said since it wasn't until May it wasn't "urgent" and to come in after the holidays. My friend and I ordered flowers to be delivered to another friend after the loss of a pet. An hour after putting in the order online, someone from The Candy Jar called my friend and explained she couldn't do the bouquet we requested because some of the flowers required weren't very fresh.
