We were thrilled with our stay at the Emerald House Hilton in Lisbon. The location is a little off the beaten path, but it was close to the port of Lisbon so near the water, and the art museum was right across the street.
We booked the room here because (1) we prefer to stay at Hiltons, but (2) this was the only hotel we found in the area that had larger beds than doubles. We had a king bed, which was really nice. The room was a nice size and had a refrigerator, coffee machine, and the other amenities you would expect at a Hilton. Although, this was more of a boutique hotel than a traditional Hilton.
We had the opportunity to eat at the restaurant several times. They serve a very nice breakfast in the morning. And, being gluten-free, they offer several options which most restaurants don't do. We had one dinner there and it was also quite good. And, we got to know the bartenders at the small lobby bar. They were friendly and knew how to make every cocktail I could come up with.
The decor around the hotel was lovely. I had the opportunity to use their gym several times (once at 2 AM...). While small, they had a nice selection of equipment to keep one busy.
We would definitely stay here again. read more
