This is a great place to walk, jog or take your kids out. One of the nicer parks around . I wish people were a bit nicer and didnt throw so much garbage, bottles and cans on the grounds.There are trash and recycling bins everywhere but I guess too much work for some people to use them! read more

We came here for the skate park, not knowing that there was some sort of festival in the works. Parking was more limited but the No Parking signs had been covered along the perimeter and we were able to park along the road. The skate park isn't exactly amazing, but it's good enough for the little ones without being an attraction for too many adults. The whole area seemed good for families. read more

I've been on a skate park bender lately with my 9 year-old (he scooters, no skateboarding.) No, I don't participate in that foolish trickery...I just find a shady spot for my folding chair and watch. Yes, I watch, take photos and sometimes perform medical aid for the occasional nasty spill (last weekend, we had to rush to Safeway for a bag of frozen peas to ice down the hip bruise he garnered on a handlebar fly-over!) The skate park at Emerald Glen is clean and nice - not too overwhelming for my budding daredevil. The crowd is a bit tamer than the skate park at Val Vista in Pleasanton, but there is still a bit of teenage boy foul language and the occasional acting like morons. However, there are plenty of pre-teens and often a few parents monitoring the concrete skatescape. I've yet to see or smell any cigarettes/illegal herb usage as was the case at Val Vista. In addition to the skate park, there are some nice baseball fields, basketball courts and a decent water park (spray features - no slides/pools) when the drought isn't severely limiting flow. I've been to a few events at Emerald Glen - all well presented with good parking and oversight. My snobby friend often complains about Dublin, but I like Emerald Glen park and think the city does a nice job keeping it clean and safe (and NO, different ethnicities and socio-economic backgrounds don't bother me and are not a reason to give the place low marks.) One minor irritation: I find the drones with GoPro cameras flying overhead really annoying (the constant buzzing is awful.) Please fly those darned things in a designated area and do not let them buzz overhead a 1/4 mile away from their operators. Today might be a good day to load the scooter, the 9 year-old and go? Been going here for over 15 years. The park changes in my memory from visiting as a kid to visiting now. Its a nice large park where seasonal kids sports are held as well as the yearly arts and wind festival they have out in san ramon. The play structure is huge as well as many walking and running spots. Ive also been inside their little community center for piano recjtals and kids activities. read more

I like this place. My fam and I wanted to enjoy the summer weather so we went to check this place out. Our kids are all toddlers so we wanted to just go to a splash pad and playground. This place is perfect. Splash pad, sand area and playground right next to each other. We sat on d ground but there is a BBQ/table area. Parking is ample considering it's right next to d water park. The rest of the park is pretty chill. It looked like they were setting up for movie in d park when we were there so that's cool. Also, farmers market is awesome. This is five star park you guys! Two different playgrounds, one for big kids and one for littler kiddos. The splash pad is huge and has a perfect layout for running around and playing. Our kids both had a blast playing, and then we had a mini picnic in the grass area close by. It wasn't open today, but it looks like there is also an actual water park and indoor pool close by as well. read more

This is such a nicely maintained public park. There're play structures, play areas for the kids, picnic areas, rose garden, sports area, water fountain and plenty of open space for strolling and enjoying fresh air and the sun! The water fountain area is pretty, calming and peaceful. The Wave(aquatic facility) and Thursday Farmer's Market are also located here. Parking can be challenging though. Park further away or simply walk/jog to the park to ramp up the exercise/health factor! read more

I loved it though. Bathrooms are Clean and the play structures were perfect for my 3 year old. The cherry on my sundae was the awesome water feature! It kicked in at noon and was so much fun! My son absolutely had a blast and the rock wall too.. Wow! Considering I drove from Modesto to visit this place as a midway mark between mine and grandmas house, it was worth it! read more

An excellent place for kids to play and to have a BBQ. This park is easy to find in Dublin, right off of the Santa Rita/ Tassajara Exit. It's very clean and is a great place to do all sorts of out door activities ( baseball/softball, soccer, tennis, play tag, football, ect.). They even have a skate board location for the youth's to try out there tricks. This place is about 40 acres. Dogs are welcome- just clean up their poop. The BBQ area is sectioned off to the side with a sink provided and close to the bathrooms. I think if you are an non-resident for the area you pay about $67 for reserving the spot- but its worth the $$. They have an outlet in the area you reserve provided for you. The area is nicely shaded for hot days, so you can enjoy your time. In all, its a great place for just about everyone who enjoys getting out. read more

What a beautiful park! There is so much nostalgia coming here, because back in the day, my friends and I would come here and hang out on the swings or run in the vast open fields. Excellent area for flying kites! On weekends you will see many people flying them since there always seems to be a light breeze here. It doesn't get too hot, either! Dublin has much cooler (also literal sense) parks than Livermore. Not to mention the farmer's market is nearby. There is so much to do here! Different play sets for kids, benches, courts, etc. And their bathrooms are clean. As good as it gets as far as neighborhood parks get! read more

We just celebrated my niece's 10th birthday at Emerald Glen Park, and it was a great place to have a birthday party of about 50 adults and children. There are 3 picnic tables located close to the playground/water area, which we did not have to reserve. Those are first come first serve, so we arrived at 10:30am and were able to use the 3 tables until 3pm. There is a separate area with covered picnic tables that are farther away, and you have to pay to reserve those. The main children's area is located at the corner of Tassajara and Central Parkway. If you turn onto Glynnis Rose From Central Parkway, you can park close to the children's area. There are 2 playground sets as well as 2 stand-alone slides built into rocks, where you walk up the steps before sliding down each time. There is also a water area (that only runs during the summer I believe) and sand area. Since the park seems fairly new, there are not many tall trees and therefore not much shade. In other areas of the park, there is a baseball field, tennis courts, and skate park. The surrounding area is nice, mostly residential single family homes. We felt very safe at the park and there weren't any suspicious characters. The location of the park is also convenient. If you drive down Tassajara for 1 block, you can stop at the large shopping center with Safeway to pick up items for a picnic! read more

One of the best parks ever! This park has a sand box, an artificial rock hill with 2 slides, two different play structures, soccer fields, baseball fields, basketball courts, and an awesome skate park. I don't skateboard but it looks fun. There are a few first come first serve areas for a picnic. On the Gleason side of the park is a reserved picnic site too. E.G. is also the host of the Dublin Farmer's Market. Some movies in the park events, concerts, and Splatter is the big even in September. Their is also a preschool on-site. The only thing that is kind of dangerous are the big slabs of rocks that are laid out right in the middle of the water feature area. I never understood why the designer would incorporate large slabs of smooth stone in the middle of the water park area. I'm always yelling at the kids to stay away from that area when they are wet. Anyhow, I love stopping by the park in the morning for a quick walk or run around the perimeter. I heard an indoor Aquatic center is in the works at Emerald Glen. A nice park...has lots of activity areas... Tennis courts, Skateboard area, Baseball and Soccer fields...even Cricket is played here! Kiddie area...which can get pretty crowded. I guess it is true we are having a baby boom!! Water area, climbing, and slides are large and accessible. My pet peeve lately is the number of baby swings...just 2 for this big area...one does have to wait! I know she will grow, and it will be something else, but for now I might as well stick to the closer park where there are only 2, too!!! read more

I love this park! It always looks sooo....NEW!!! It's well kept and has EVERYTHING to offer: basketball courts, tennis courts, bocci ball courts, a skate park, water play fountains, kiddie playgrounds, a decent restroom building, picnic areas, baseball, soccer, and cricket fields, and even a concession stand! And on the weekends, you'll find elderly folks doing Thai Chi early mornings! What more can it offer??? It's nice to see people of all ages, big and small, hanging out and enjoying the outdoors. This is about the skatepark; The reason I gave it 5 stars is because of the 24 hour lights. If there is any daylight, find another skatepark. If not, get here! I've had many restless nights where this park has saved me. (Before this find, it was industrial parks late night and not always a good spot). When I first skated here, I was really disappointed as the transition was very very bad. Someone told me it's like skating a prime drainage ditch and that made me view it in a more positive light for some reason. If you continue to skate here, you will really start to like it. Large park with lots to do. There are multiple play structures, swings, a sand pit, slides, rocks to climb, and bathrooms. In the summer they have fountains/water for the kids to play in. My only complaint is that is it very easy for young children to get out of line of sight when they are using the rock slides. If you're standing below it can be impossible to see them up top. It tends to get windy here year-round, so keep that in mind when planning your visit. Ice cream trucks frequently stop here in the afternoon. read more

I come here quiet a bit to take my four legged child for a walk. I would say this is one of my favorite parks around the area. I like how there's alot of trees around and it gives you good breeze specially on a hot summer days. There's tons of loops and ways around the park that you can take for a good walk. This park is not very big but i like how convenient the location is. Its close to Safeway and restaurants. Once in awhile on a nice day, we would buy some sandwiches and have little picnic under a tree. On summer time they have some farmers market and movie shows for everyone. read more

It's been a while since I visited it with my kids. I remember the bathrooms were kept relatively clean and the playgrounds a fun place to go. They have a sandpit with fossils to discover. Rocks to climb. Water play though I'm not sure if it is running during the drought. There is also a smaller playground across the fields for a different style and quieter space. Beautiful playground that has lots of features for toddlers. There are two main sets of playground here along with a great slide. The slide is not too high and is surrounded by a miniature stone mountain. They use to have water running in the center but looks like that's now gone due to drought conditions. There is lots of walk path for kids and adults as well. My son loves to come here and spend quality time before we go to the San Francisco outlet in Livermore. read more

This park still gets a solid four stars after coming here for about a year now. There are several play structures, all of which are in good shape. I still do wish there was more shade options, especially when it gets hotter, and now I also have to add that I wish the faux-rock area was better constructed so that parents can see young children at the top. I say this only b/c my 2 year old disappears for a while when he climbs up there for the slide, and I always just hope he doesn't run off in the other direction. This week I only knew he wasn't coming down the slide b/c he came down the hill besides the faux rock and face-planted on the dirt and started crying. Despite this, this is still a great park to spend some time at. read more

I often meet my little man for a lunch date here. He loves it! There are different play areas for all age groups, a water feature and an area to for light strolling. There are lots of grassy areas with shade for picnics. On hot days this place is packed with kids. Love this park. One of our faves for sure! read more

This is a nice park. I'm glad that we have it in Dublin. Finally made it over to play on the tennis courts today. Unfortunately, the tennis courts are not well maintained. There are 4 courts and all of them seemed like they were pretty worn and the courts were getting gritty and sandy. Hopefully the city will repave and also repaint the lines on the tennis courts. It does need some TLC. read more

I absolutely love this park, period. It's clean, huge and overall well maintained. It basically has everything you would want in one, and for persons of all ages. I personally enjoy it for its ambiance, as it helps me to relax, whether I'm listening to music, reading, or just enjoying the incredible view from the hill next to the picnic benches (okay, I enjoy the swing too, even though I'm 31, lol.) I should mention that there's currently a progress of constructing an aquatic center, so hopefully that will turn out as we would all like. To include a nice bonus is that the park is located in a very safe area. I will definitely take advantage of this park as long I live here. read more

Did a little staycation with my family and kids around the area. My sister found this place for our toddlers which was perfect. Free and gets the kids entertained. There were playground structures, sand area, slide area and water area. Parking a little limited due to the water park. I ended up parking on the street which wasn't bad. read more

I love bringing my son 2 this park. It's a safe, clean environment 2 meet & bring my other motherly friends. It's the biggest splash pad that I've seen locally, so if your kid loves splash pads, then check it out! Tons of awesome parents are always there with their kids & even though it is crowded during my visits, the park is so big that it's able 2 accommodate the people. Parking is not an issue, plus it's free. I can't wait 2 bring my son 2 The Waves, the water park 4 children nearby! PS - Not that parents should EVER stop being vigilant, but to date, I haven't seen any odd behavior of weirdos without kids hanging around. read more

Also the aquatic center wasn't there before, let alone the trails, skate park and walkways. Nice touch. This is not on of those new playgrounds with weird structures that kids need to figure out. This is a really nice park, clean and big. It pretty much has everything to play. Parking was easy. They have play area and water sprinklers (like little water park for toddlers) and sand area, swings...etc Plenty of grass for kids to running around or just have a picnic.
