Pros: -Smoothies aren't bad (almost as good as Alive juice…read morebar down the street) -Aubrey is the sweetest staff member, and she makes the prettiest bowls. My overall rating excludes her 5 star service. -They are super welcoming of service animals coming inside while you dine. It's encouraged actually! -The parking lot next door is huge and you can easily cut through the alley behind if you live in nearby apartments or if you're out walking the dog (secrets from a local) -Somewhat kid-friendly. Although not much but a few board games to play if all the pieces are there... probably not the most exciting place for a toddler though. -here's a hack: if you order on Uber Eats it's almost always ready in less than 7 minutes (oddly enough that's way less time than if you order in person, they probably prioritize uber orders if I could guess) -I love that they kept up the BLM painted mural on the back side of the building. It's the right thing to do; to pay homage to the prior businesses and cultures in Everett. I hope that never changes. Cons: -The price point!! Holy shrinkflation. I have never paid this much for a smoothie or açaí bowl that is half the size I can get elsewhere. An açaí bowl should not be pushing 20 bucks. -The ratio of frozen açaí to granola is off. They put too much granola- My personal preference is double açaí and half granola, more like the places I've tried in Hawaii and CA. -Visually the worst menu I've ever encountered. I've been here a couple times, and still don't know what to order. It really doesn't help they all have a similar name like "Re-fart" or whatever. My 50 year old mom needed help deciding what to order because she got overwhelmed by too many choices of the same thing. -The store closes so early, no one can make it here before or after work unfortunately. Thank god Alive juice bar is open later at night and closer to the rest of downtown happenings. -Managers here give off a weird untrusting vibe. You know how you can just tell they're gonna start talking crap about you the second you leave? Yep... -I can't place a finger on it but it's giving "gentrified" the best part of Everett is the charm of this old town. Disappointing to see that they could've gotten creative with the building but instead went for a plain, clean white, corporate millenial vibe. Like the world needs more of that. -Bathroom is not the best... they prob don't clean it every day. Or maybe just one poor staff member does. I'd hate the be that guy LOL Overall: meh. Chances are, you haven't tried legit açai yet (unless you've gone to Brazil). Tropical Berry is one of the rare places in WA that sells real açai. You know is a legit spot if they have condensed milk and milk powder (which is what most people add on in Brazil). I recommend this place to everyone I know, especially if they're not from Brazil. Their açai is delicious, their "coxinha" is one of the best ones I've ever had (please try it with the green mayo). It's always worth the drive for me to come here! We both got different toppings--we went a little crazy with them in fact, the fruit and stuff would barely fit in the bowl!--and we downed both our small bowls. I got banana, strawberry, blueberry, pineapple and peanut butter. The latter sounded weird, but it tasted awesome, especially when mixed with the açai. My girlfriend got the same, but got granola instead of pineapple. I also ordered a pressed sugar cane drink. Yup, made from real sugar canes. Sounds weird, and one would think would be extremely sweet. But no, not super sweet, and surprisingly refreshing. I remember gnawing on sugar canes when I was a kid, so the flavor was familiar. But a drink was a lot easier to consume!! I'll definitely get it again! The place is tiny. Only two tables.
