BEWARE OF BED BUGS.
I really didn't want to write a review but it felt irresponsible not to share my experience. As objectively as I can state it:
I stayed in room 316 in late September for one night for business. About 2 days later, I started developing some red bumps that I thought, at the time, were mosquito bites. Later that night, when the itchiness didn't subside, and I finally came to my senses, I realized they were identical to the bed bug bites I received a few years ago. Did some googling and they looked absolutely textbook. OK, crappy situation, hopefully didn't bring them home, but I should let the hotel know.
The next day, I spoke with Brandon, front desk manager. He said he'd give me a call back in 15 minutes after looking into it. Calls back 6 hours later and says their policy is to get the room tested but unfortunately the room is currently occupied and nothing can be done until the results come in, but Rachel, a director, would be in touch at 10 am the next morning. You guessed it, I didn't get that call. So I call them - btw if you press '0' to speak to an operator, it rings a few times and auto disconnects. Charming. When I got a hold of the front desk they said they'd pass my message on but everybody was gone. The next day, Rachel finally calls. She says the results came in and they came back negative and that the last occupants also did not report any bites. She offered to send me the test results to my email, to which I accepted and gave her my email address. I never received those results.
I want to be very clear as I'm sure this will finally be addressed by management now that this is posted publicly - I want nothing from you. No refund, no discount, no gift card. I calmly presented my experience with your staff and was met with a complete lack of professionalism and accountability. Absolutely zero urgency shown. I don't even want the test results anymore, you've lost all credibility. Here's a free lesson for Rachel - you can avoid claiming responsibility while still remaining professional and exhibiting soft customer service skills. I was never combative over the phone so why take that approach with me?
There are plenty of other options in this area (and for cheaper too). I would strongly recommend another hotel. read more
