Dale is awesome and knows his stuff. Pricing is fair and honest. He's friendly, curious and super humble, don't let that fool you. He knows what he's doing, he just doesn't play the games some professionals play to get a better sale or make things seem worse than they are. It's a challenge to find an honest, affordable, residential electrician. You will not be sorry. read more

I needed to run some additional outlets for a studio gym I'm building just outside my house. Dale was excellent--very personable and responsive from the beginning. He got back to me shortly after I reached out and was able to come out, assess the project, and provide a bid on the spot. Even better, he had all the tools and equipment in his van to get started immediately. Throughout the process, Dale went above and beyond what I had envisioned. As I refined how I wanted the setup to look, he had no problem making quick adjustments on the fly to accommodate my evolving layout. The final product is clean, efficient, and exactly what I needed. I'd highly recommend Dale to anyone looking for a skilled, professional electrician who's easy to work with and gets the job done right. read more

EMD Electric did a great job repairing my pool pump. It had been wired incorrectly and only the low speed was working. He quickly diagnosed the issue and rewired it so both speeds now work properly. Professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I would definitely recommend EMD Electric for electrical repairs. read more

Dale is a great guy who knows his way around any kind of electrical issues that will happen in a house. We had a tripping GFI that caused us a lot of headaches, until Dale came to fix it. He was the second tech looking at it, and charged us signiificantly less than the previous guy - who did NOT fix it.... read more

We just bought a house and had some weird electrical issues: blinking light in another circuit when certain lights were turned on at the other side of the house, all the lights in the laundry room and pantry went out. Had two separate handymen come out and they had no idea what to do. Dale came and fixed everything like a Jedi master. He was calm and cheerful, wore his mask and said "I need to focus undisturbed for a bit". We went out to lunch and let him be. By the time we got back, he was on his way out. His price was very reasonable. Highly recommended. read more

EMD Electrical (Electrical Maintenance and Design) is a great company. I have a huge office that doubles as my studio which for me means I need lots of perfect natural lighting, electrical outlets and data cables outlets. A gentleman by the name of Dale comes in, surveys my room and says "I know exactly what you need". In about a single day I had a celling full of daylight style lights that are economically efficient, RJ-45 outlets all over the place, digital phone hookups and everything I need to enjoy my creative environment. I didn't know that electricians made such a difference! Anyway, use these guys as often as you can. They're great!! read more

As I was decorating for Christmas in my dining room I heard a crackling and popping from TV room. Lights went out in both rooms. Upon investigation i could smell burning coming from the switch in the TV room.Husband would not be home till much later and it smelled like the house was catching on fire. I called a friend who opened up the switch box and we could see there was damage and melting to the wires(no ongoing fire ) After calling many electricians in a panic Dale answered and came over immediately after he finished the job he was at. He put me at rest that this happens very often and he got to work and had lighting in both rooms back within a few hours. His price was great. He is our new go to guy for any electrical problems ( we have a few that he will be fixing in the New Year) Thank you Dale at EMD Electrical for putting me at ease that the house was safe from burning, for fixing the situation and for the expediency. You saved Christmas!!!!! read more

EMD Electric - Scary!!!!! - Electricians Near Me

The real deal. This guy runs his own business, he is the real deal. Does not give up on a problem. This is the second job I had done with Dale. Trying to fix a old faulty garage electrical system. It was a detached garage and we went looking all over for the breaker box. First day we couldn't find it but Dale didn't give up and called me again for a second run. He got the job done. I don't know anyone else who wouldn't just cut me run. He takes pride in his work. He is extremely fair, honest, and reasonable. Give him a shot. read more

Dale did a great job installing our ceiling fan. He has also changed outlets for us, and rewired a circuit for our kitchen appliances. He also was very helpful in determining what each of our breakers was wired to, in our old house, which helped us avoid replacing the breaker box completely. We will be contacting him again soon, to install another outlet for a garbage disposal and dishwasher, as well as other miscellaneous jobs. Professional, friendly and courteous. read more

Check this guy! We had two contractors tell us we needed many thousands of dollars worth of work. Dale was honest and straight forward and let us know about how the electrical contractor game is played. He fixed our problem and it's ben great ever since. Thank you and a 5 star review read more

Could not be more pleased with Dale and the great job he did. Since our home is fairly new we have little experience fixing things and are always in dire straits when things go wrong. I thank the other Yelpers who posted reviews so that I found EMD. Called early this AM, before his work hours and he answered personally to walk through my issues which included a broken smoke detector which was driving us crazy. Since he was coming out I figured I should address my problems with the bathroom lights constantly needing reset. He quoted me a ballpark over the phone and we went from there. He showed up later that morning and confidently fixed everything. He was extremely patient explaining what my options were and why things were not working. We tested each fix thoroughly and now I am a very happy camper. i paid him what he quoted and it could not have been easier. No crazy beeping and light switches that work. I wish we had addressed this sooner. At least now I have an Electrician to call on. It's a very good thing. read more

Dale Vezina did a great job determining the cause of our problem (a dead dimmer switch) and replacing it quickly with a dimmer he had in his truck. I had to get the job done on the same day, in the morning, because we had an appraiser coming over to the house at noon, and after I called about five other companies, Dale was the only one willing to come over right away and get the job done on time, which was a life-saver. We had to have two wall sconces installed before the appraiser came over, because otherwise there would have been electrical wires sticking out of the wall; the dead dimmer switch was preventing me from finishing the job until Dale came over and found the problem for us. Friendly and professional. I would recommend EMD Electrical to anyone. read more

My tenants were having some issues and needed some quick help. Being really far away, I couldn't check it out myself. I found EMD Electrical through a Google search, spoke to Dale (electrician), and he had the time to stop by the property and take care of the issue very quickly. One great thing about Dale is the communication. Being far away, it was great to have the solid telephone communication, much appreciated!! Thanks Dale, will definitely call you up if I have any issues in the future :) read more

Dale did a great job! We just moved in to our house and needed to install an outlet for a new range. Our old range was hardwired and we had no idea what to do. We decided to call Dale after reading reviews on Yelp. At the time of phone conversation, since we did not know ANYTHING about electricity, we were not able to answer his questions. He let us send a email, including a link to our new range and a picture of currant hardwired range, and did a research for us. Call back and came the next day and installed the proper outlet within an hour. He also gave us tips regarding other electricity stuffs. We still have many things to be fixed but I'm glad that I know who to call now. read more

Hey Yelpers! It has been a while but needed to write this review for my wife as we had a very positive experience with EMD Electrical to resolve a GEICO-esque issue where it really was so easy to fix, a caveman could have done it...tonight, that caveman was me. Recently, the outlets in all our bathrooms weren't working. Being the caveman that I am, I had no clue what to do. So being the responsible wife that she is, my wife called around some local electricians in Irvine to see who could save the day. My wife called a few places and it was Dale (by the way, that's my brother's name...but this wasn't my brother) that saved the day. Basically, he told us that it was most likely the main GFI tripping and it just needed to be re-set. Not realizing what it was, she continued to inquire what needed to be done. Dale basically explained what needed to be done and it was as easy as pressing the button on the main GFI outlet in the garage. It was so easy to do that Dale insisted that he didn't need to come out to resolve the problem and that she just needed to find the outlet in the garage, press the reset button, and voila! it would be done...since my wife wasn't able to find it, this super simple task, which ended up becoming a honeydew task on a silver platter for me, was waiting for me when I got home. Of course, it was game night so I had to watch the LA Kings beat the Calgary Flames first before taking care of this minor issue or any other honeydew task. After the Kings squeaked out the 3-2 win, I went to the garage, found the outlet, press the magic button, and bam...power to our bathroom outlets were restored and I looked like Brad Pitt to my wife for a second or two...then reality set in and we just were happy that she now has power to use her essentials - blowdryer, flat iron, etc. My wife had called other places where the phone ended up ringing forever or got a quote from a place that said they would have to charge us $139 to check it out. In other words, my wife owes me $139. Thanks Dale and EMD Electrical! You made me look like a hero. I owe you $139! read more

We had another electrician wire for a machine that was coming in on a Monday morning. Well the cable ended up being 5" too short and we had to have it fixed asap because the installer came from out of town. Our electrician wouldn't answer his phone so we started calling around looking for an electrician. After calling 4 electricians and no answer Dale finally answered. We told him our dilemma, he had an appointment coming up but said he could come take a look real quick. He came over right away, saw what we needed, took off to the cable place, brought back the cable, wired it and we were up and running! I highly recommend Dale, very easy to work with, GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE! read more

Dale was accessible and showed up on time. He didn't get into signing contracts but instead focused on solving the problem. He figured out what the problem was and fixed it after looking at the panel and the jacks and switches in the circuit. He was pleasant and cheerful, and offered information along the way. His rate was very reasonable and I recommend him highly! Honesty is a valuable trait with a service professional. read more

We have used this company previously, and this last time was the final time - terrible work ethic, terrible service and terrible attitude.

Dale was very friendly, polite, knowledgeable and timely. He quickly solved my problem while instructing me how to identify the issue in the future. I made sure to get his business card, so I can give him my business whenever the need rises again. read more

My parents had an issue with their furnace and I called Dale first thing Monday morning to see if he could find time to stop by the same day. He said he would fit them in sometime in the early afternoon, and he didn't disappoint. My parents were very pleased with his service and demeanor. They are not always the easiest to please so that is saying a lot. I will definitely use Dale's services again and highly recommend him. read more

I was having problems with my dryer and was able to pin point the problem to the breaker. As a first time home owner, I was scared to find out what the costs were especially since I was not familiar with any electricians. Dale answered his phone around 6 pm, well after most places close, and even tried to help me fix the problem over the phone first. When it was determined that he needed to come down, he was able to schedule within a couple of days. He was prompt in arriving. I was the one that was late! Two of my breakers were dead and he was able to fix them with parts in his truck. I also asked him to change the outlet by my bathroom sink because it didn't have a test button but he told me that it was on the same circuit as the adjoining bathroom so I didn't need it. Some other electrician may have charged me extra due to my ignorance. Dale did a great job and was honest in letting me know what work that I actually needed done. read more

Dale came to help us with an electrical emergency on a Saturday afternoon when no one else bothered to respond. We had a main breaker shut down and our fish tank was overflowing and the fish could have perished in a few hours. We are very grateful he came down and he helped us understand breakers and electrical sockets. Will definitely call again for help with our new house. Knowledgeable, quick to respond, and instructional. Thank you Dale! read more
