Fine, I can't promise a completely painless experience, but this is definitely the least painful I've had in the city. Sometimes while having my treatment, I have a quick chat with the therapist that usually starts off with them asking how old I am or what I do for a living. I've asked a couple times how long they've been doing what they were doing because it was clearly more professionally done than a number of other establishments. They said something about being trained for months before they get to sit in and work. Their chairs are so comfortable that it sets the relaxing mood pretty fast. Until that first pull of their thread comes in, you realize it's not gonna be such a bad 15 minutes of "torture." They do it quick and fast like taking off a bandaid and next thing you know, your treatment is done. They give you this nice cold cream after to cool off your freshly threaded eyebrows that now look amazing. They offer packages that can be shared between you and your friends and family. Its super sulit! Promise! I go about every other month since my eyebrows don't grow as fast so that package really does come in handy when the time comes when I need to feel pretty again.

For some, recognizing when a remark is sarcastic depends on how well the other person can work those brows. Brow Haus, a brow and lash grooming salon, knows this all too well, which is why they have posters showing the "before" and "after" stages of neatly trimmed eyebrows. I used to look at these posters all the time, but I never really appreciated what they were promoting until I reaped the benefits myself. After I had my eyebrows threaded at Brow Haus, most of my friends noticed the change even if they weren't quite sure what to attribute it to. Trimming my bushy eyebrows lent a more symmetric appearance to my eyes, made me look and feel more confident in the way I carried myself. Thankfully, the staff are very kind and perform their work quickly, usually 5 minutes tops whenever I request for Classic Threading (P580). Grooming eyebrows may seem like a subtle adjustment, but it goes a long way in emphasizing the eyes and approaching the specific look that I'm going for. Because I'm not fond of applying make-up in casual everyday situations, I appreciate how Brow Haus makes my eyebrows look effortlessly neat and fixed even if I just got up from bed. It's a lovely kind of magic.

According to my friends and all the reviews I've read about it, it will hurt. Like seriously. With that in mind, I braced myself for the worst. And here's my verdict - it. did. hurt. like. hell. But it was also worth it. And it helped a lot that Lay Bare was a place with non-intimidating vibes especially for noobs like me. It was clean and the staff were courteous. Big thumbs up also to my wax lady, Ate Jacq, as she was so chill and gentle and understanding about all the quirks I had about the whole process, it being my first time and everything. In hindsight, the experience was really good and I can't help but be grateful for that, aside from the fact that their services are affordable. Good job, Lay Bare! Getting a wax is, to me, one of the things I /need/ to feel secure about. After reading reviews online, all sources point to Lay Bare Katipunan as the most credible waxing salon. The waxing ladies are also courteous and amiable, and they don't even initiate embarrassing conversations with you as you get your wax. Plus, there's hardly any line! When I got a deal groupon at Salon Beauvoir, I did my research. I took to the web to see how girls liked the place. I saw in a few blogs to ask for their senior stylist, Monette. So when I went, I quickly looked for her. The salon is very chic! The plush couches, embroidered walls and clean interiors are reminiscent of the French.
