Very convenient for a semi glamping experience. Haha. For real. Our first camping experience had outhouses with leaves to help disintegrate the excrement. Seriously! So this is a luxurious experience in comparison. This camp site was also very cautious about checking temperatures and making sure everyone was not sick with Covid. There are electrical outlets at the main pavilion and the biggest restrooms too. We needed an outlet to inflate our air mattress but didn't see the electrical outlet in the restroom until someone told us. The amphitheater is a cool spot inside the camp site. Love the small lake too. We went fishing and it was fun. Someone actually caught a small fish. I wouldn't eat that fish though. Haha. All in all, this was a wonderful experience.

Especially at campsite 8, There was an ant pile almost every 5 feet away from you. It took me about 40 minutes to set up our tents due to having to check if there is an ant pile. Also the bathrooms are bipolar lets say. Somedays clean, somedays dirty and anything like that. However I give it a 5 stars because of the memories. My friend crossing over and having a big sleepover in the tents, playing games, competition, volunteering, and more. It is just so fun and it minimizes all the tings I've complained about earlier because of the amount of fun you are having. I recommend it for sure, just be careful when you use the bathroom and always make sure you are not surrounded by an ant pile.

What an absolute nightmare. Beware the beautiful photos on the website look absolutely nothing like what you are given. We felt completely safe walking around from the beach to the motel. I contacted Angela directly on the phone and through email. We only needed a room for one night after our cruise and mentioned we would be arriving rather early. She mentioned that we could leave our luggage there if the room wasn't ready yet. We arrived around 10:30 am and our standard room ($65/night) was ready! It had two double beds, a full size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, and coffee maker. They also offered free WiFi, you just need to get the password from Angela. She even offered her laptop if we needed to check in for our flights. We were interested in doing an everglades tour and Angela called the company herself to see if they had any openings left. She also suggested bus routes and water taxi options when we told her what restaurants we were interested in going to. Overall, the place was very clean, simple and basic. There were ample towels provided, but no shampoo. It's a nice alternative than staying on the beach in one of those expensive hotels. When we checked out around 11 am, we had to walk a couple of blocks to hail a cab. I'm sure we could have called for one.

The driving directions and street signage were confusing, and we ended up making a wrong turn that took us to the opposite side of the port. I definitely recommend giving yourself extra time to navigate traffic, parking, and any unexpected detours--Miami traffic and road layouts can be a little chaotic! Once we arrived at the correct terminal, everything went smoothly. The port is large, and the parking garage appears to be fairly new with plenty of covered parking spaces. At $35 per day, it's more expensive than some nearby parking options, but for the convenience and proximity to the terminal, I thought it was well worth it. Check-in was quick, organized, and surprisingly easy. The waiting area was spacious and very clean. I didn't notice any charging stations or wall outlets for electronic devices, but fortunately, we didn't have to wait long before boarding. Overall, despite the confusing drive into the port, the actual check-in and boarding process was excellent. We'd definitely cruise from PortMiami again, just with a little extra time built into our arrival!
